# 119407-13
Liberty's Edge
Captain Havok
real name Rutger.
No dayjob.
You should have my email right? ^^

I'll run with a sorcerer/arcanist so we have some arcane support. Need some time to get a build. Hopefully will be done with it by the end of the day.

Do we need a rogue for traps?

Dotting, have to think of a fun lvl 1 char. :)

Added myself to Dawn of the Scarlet sun. ^^

Keeping my fingers crossed, heard good things about the scenario ^^

Also rolled up for crypt of the everflame. Will probably make a wizard/arcanist to fill the gap.

A paladin of Sarenrae with Blade of Mercy was the first thing I thought of. The person who tries to convert others to his views, but in a patient and non-pushy way. Evil has a chance to surrender (except for undead). And he will try to knock people out first and try to convert them instead of killing.

@Nowear: Will we get some PP for the 5 levels with which we can get some items if we like? I ask this because on the P&P game we are doing offline we got 12 pp and fame since they were sort of PFS games as well. It was helpful in getting some potions(fly) and fairly cheap special items.

Any themes except Taldan? The description is pretty vague and I don't want to read all those spoilers in the review :P

if you want and advice, paladins are my specialty :3

I read through the guides, but did take a peak at your paladin aliases. Seems I already had most of those in mind :).

But I'm going to think hard on what type of person my paladin is. I already have a very naive one (archer though) so I want to go in another direction roleplay wise.

I'll roll up a pregen for the group. Let's see what I can pick up this time. Still have a handy Enora up(arcanist) but can do something else as well :).

Will you hand out PFs chronicles? ^^

I can only do tide of morning (seems I am already in a tides of twilight game).

Unfortunately I only have Captain Havok(1.2) available, all my high tiers are either in a game or too high for high tier. :(

I'm always up for a goblins game. I believe you can play the first as many as you like, and the second only once?

Wouldn't mind rita or the priest on either. (already played the rogue ^^)

Haven't done tides either it seems.

Already did some of the blackrose ones and currently in a "among the.." game

I wanted to make a Shaman for a while now, this seems like a good opportunity. Think Indian(shoanti) who speaks to his spirit ancestors in order to give him his powers.

At this time I am thinking as the Battle spirit (especially since the group could use another front liners it seems) and possible the Speaker of the Past archetype.

Consider this an official application. Will come back with more.

Do you plan to hand out PFS chronicles for content?

I would love a go at Tears of the Bitter Mannor.
Mainly because I am already running P&P with friends :).

Breunor Brewmaster is ready for an audit. Let me know if you need some more information on certain aspects. (Sorry I took your picture Campin Carl, it was the best one that fit him :) )

Need to make some small adjustments and a permanent alias when he is chosen, but below gives an accurate view of how he will look.

background:

Breunor Boulderbasher was born in the Five Kings Mountains as a son to a pair of devout dwarven warriors who followed the path of Torag. Breunor was raised as a real dwarf and his parents hoped that he would grow up as a worthy dwarf who could follow in their footsteps. Though he spent most of his youth in the mountains Breunor quickly found that he did not want to remain in the cramped underground tunnels. He wanted to get out and explore the world. Still he listened to his parents and trained his combat skills vigorously, while secretively looking for a way out.
Giants were the worst of their foes during their youth and Breunor was trained vigorously in combating them. It was after one of his first real combats with a couple of hill giants that they found a lonely mammoth babe among the herds the giants stole from their surroundings. When Bruenor released him and walked away, the young mastodon used its trout to keep hold of one of Bruenor's braid. Unable to let the poor lonely creature go, Bruenor decided to take it with him for now.
Being the softy that he was Breunor quickly became friends with the mammoth who he named Pwent. They slept together, trained together and hunted together together. Why they even shared a fondness for alcohol together. Mostly beers, but even wines and the stronger stuff. In his spare time Breunor would try his luck at brewing himself. It was this fondness for brewing and his wanderlust that led Breunor to the adoration of the god Cayden Cailean. He was a role model for him. Enjoying a brew, having fun and traveling around, that is what life should be about!
However his parents thought it ridiculous: the dwarven halls are no place for a mammoth and ordered Breunor to get rid of the beast. They also smashed his statue of Cayden and replaced it with Torag's. Bruenor tried to protest but to no avail, his parents would have none of it. Well they soon learned their kid was as stubborn as they were and Bruenor left the halls with his companion in tow.

During their travels they wandered a lot and they both enjoyed it. However, they did miss the dwarven stouts from the mountains and decided to brew together. Starting with beers and working their way up the difficulty Breunor got quite good at it. Pwent would help with gathering and foraging while Breunor did the finer tasks like control the fire and distillate the alcohol. It wasn't before long that they had enough materials to get their first brew. Cayden Cailean clearly smiled upon the two and blessed then with a little of his divine power. Bruenor was able to cast a few spells and Pwent was able to channel some of Caydens divine energies.

A few years later and Breunor got experienced enough that he could brew a range of alcoholic beverages. Now he travels the lands in search of new ingredients and inspirations to create new flavors for his drinks. He sells them where he goes and helps around if his assistance is needed.

Scenario 1::

Breunor looks around the room, trying to get his own bearing. Pwent...where is Pwent? His thoughts are a jumble trying to reconstruct what happened that got him caught like this. We were savaging for elderberries..then a large crash...an avalanche..?
A trumpet sound directs his attention to a corner of the room where he spots his companion. Though covered in bloody lashes and chained to a large rock, the young mastodon seems as brave as ever in Breunor's eyes.

"Oi there, another one awake! Another awake. Maybe this one tells Old Brulk'tha a pretty tale. Maybe this one doesn't fill her belly tonight! Hurhurhur!" Her voice is wheezy but booming, and her jowls jiggle with each word. With a scowl on his face Breunor looks at the large hideous creature and spits in her direction.
"Ye be getting naught from me blubberin' hag!" He defiantly shouts back.
As the giantess approaches the cage a wicked smile appears on Breunor's face. "Ye put the wrong one in a cage ya greasy bag o' pus!"
Breunor closes his eyes tightly Cayden, please ol' friend. Give Pwent the strength to break out! The dwarf focuses his powers and is answered by a powerful trumpet call and the crack of a chain. His smile widens as his companion, now broken free from the chain, grew twice as large and fearsome. With fire in his eyes the massive mastodon charges in the direction of the giant.

Scenario 2:

Breunor sniffs the mead for a moment and fills a mouthful with the golden fluid. Hmmm, decent balance of bitter and sweet...the yeast is different from what I know...I should ask the brewer about that. He gulps it down and smiles to the Ulfen.
"Ha ha! An which skills would Ingmund be wantin' laddy? This mead be decent enough, but I think I can improve the recipe somewhat. However, some things like my own recipe's are not for sale." Breunor says with a large grin and a wink. The lack of a laugh from the Ulfen man sobers Breunor up...a little.
"Fine, fine... much like yer self, probably, I merely be lookin' to sell some of me casks of whiskey and beer." He looks around the room and more absentmindedly says "As well as lookin' for some new ingredients and flavors. I dunnea really care about coin. I rather be havin' fun and discoverin' new flavors." He turns back to the Ulfen and looks him in the eyes, a more serious look on his bearded face. "But if ye cause is just, I might be persuaded to help ye."

Scenario 3:

His shoulders, arms and head sagging, Breunor groans loudly. "Blast ye. Why must we be havin' to enter a tomb of some wierdo. Why cannea it be quick 'n easy fer once." Pwent looks at his dwarven companion and trumpets shortly, while tilting his head quizzically. The mastodon approaches Breunor and and blows a jet of air in the dwarf's face.
"Ye ye, I know. They key to protectin' the town be here. I rather be fighting a bunch o' orcs. All these puzzles be hurtin' me head." Breunor says as he smiles at Pwent.
He spits in his gloves and grips his shield and waraxe tightly. "Let's try 'n get this done quick. I be wantin' to taste me new whiskey tonight."

Think I will pass on the elephant animal companion.

Is it a problem with the animal type or an elephant in the cold? I wanted to take a mammoth, but that is just a reskinned elephant. Do you have a list of animals you don't mind having?

Talathel was my first submission btw. Good to see the group is still going.

My alternative idea is a witch. I originally made her for jade regent, but unfortunately that died before we even got to finish the goblin camp :(. You can look her over here.

Possibly want to take divine hunter as well, but not sure about the archetype yet. Doesn't come into effect until lvl 3 anyway.
Let me know if you have an issue with any of the new classes/archetypes.

I believe a couple games started a month ago. Wasn't able to get in unfortunately.

Though I'm a big PFS fan, there are some shortcomings in the system. Mainly with poorly written new material and RAW rulings.

Would still love to play a ROW with PFS credit though ^^.

Made a Dwarf hunter who found an elephant as his companion from a hill giant clan. He would be perfect for this game :).

Will you offer PFS credit?
Note that to do this, you can run it in campaign rules with all your own custom rules and are still eligible for PFS rewards. It's just the paperwork which takes 15 minutes or so.

Interested.

What's your deadline and whats your stand on archetypes of the newer books?

I think it sounds a little like a drowning fish mixed with zoidberg from futurama.

Signed up for slave master's mirror. I have a character that is ready now for low tier, and one that is finishing her adventure for high tier.

I have several character I could play with. Any preferences?

New lvl 1 Barbarian.
lvl 2.2 Paladin Archer
lvl 2.2 ninja

I'll probably go for the ninja since I want that one at lvl 3 the quickest for chronicles ;).

I only have a lvl 4.2 summoner that's available. All my higher levels are stuck in other games unfortunately.

If none of the above are responding quickly enough, I'm up for it ^^.

Hi Baerlie, if you are making a second table I would like to join :).

Certainly some AP's are always very popular. WotW, and RoW are some of them. It is always fun and annoying to see so many good application flood an AP recruitment thread. Especially if there are many alike to your own type (i.e. martial / divine etc)

Enjoy :)

Updated his stats to the way they should be. He's still pretty tanky, going for heavy armor and good saves thanks to his dwarven toughness. In downtime he will be brewing beers and whiskeys.

@GM I figured he already had some brewing equipment before hand on his travels. Are you ok with this?

Here's my dwarven Primal companion Hunter. I'll make an alias if he gets picked. I might take the divine hunter archetype as well (if allowed). But I'm not sure yet.

The point buy isn't correct, but I don't have access to my builder atm :).

of them, regardless of whether or not they are actively looking.
• GIANT HUNTER: Giant hunter dwarves gain a +1 bonus on attack rolls
against humanoids with the giant subtype. Furthermore, they gain a +2 bonus on
Survival checks to find and follow tracks made by humanoids with the giant subtype.

-- CLASS ABILITIES --
• FAVORED CLASS (Hunter) : You've gain the following bonuses: +1 Skill Point.
• DRUID SPELLS: A druid casts divine spells, which are drawn from the druid
spell list. Her alignment may restrict her from casting certain spells opposed to her
moral or ethical beliefs. DC for a saving throw against a druid's spell is 10 + the
spell level + Wisdom modifier. Druids can prepare a number of orisons, or 0-level
spells, each day. They can cast these spells at will as a spell-like ability. (PFCR
49).
• DRUID SPONTANEOUS CASTING: A druid can channel stored spell energy
into summoning spells that she hasn't prepared ahead of time. She can “lose” a
prepared spell in order to cast any summon nature's ally spell of the same level or
lower. (PFCR 49).
• WILD EMPATHY: Change animal attitudes in a way similar to Diplomacy. Check
bonus equals -2. Animal must be within 30 ft. (PFCR 50-51).
• FORBIDDEN SPELL ALIGNMENT: Spells with the Evil descriptor are forbidden
by your alignment and your deity's alignment. (PFCR 41, 49).
• NATURE BOND (Animal Companion - Elephant): You have chosen an
animal companion. The Elephant is detailed in [PFBty 128]. (PFCR 50).
• PRIMAL TRANSFORMATION: At first level, a primal companion hunter can awaken
a primal creature from within his animal companion as a swift action. The animal
companion gains a pool of evolution points that can be used to temporarily give the
companion evolutions as if it were an eidolon. A primal companion hunter uses her
hunter level to determine the number of evolution points gained, limitations on how
often an evolution can be selected, and so on. Whenever she gains a level, she must
decide how these points are spent, and they are set until she gains another
level.

Activating these evolutions on the animal companion is a swift action. A primal
companion hunter can use this ability for 1 minute per day per hunter level. This
duration need not to be consecutive, but it must be spent in 1-minute increments. An
animal companion transformed in this way cannot exceed the maximum number of attacks
available to the eidolon of a summoner whose class level equals that of the hunter.
While transformed in this way, the animal companion's type changes to magical beast,
though the primal companion hunter still treats it as an animal for the purpose of the
Handle Animal skill.

If a primal companion hunter's animal companion is dead, she can apply these
evolutions to herself instead of to her animal companion. Uses of this ability count
toward the hunter's maximum daily duration of evolution use.

-- COMBAT FEATS --
• ARMOR PROFICIENCY (LIGHT / MEDIUM / HEAVY): When you wear a type of
armor in which you are proficient, the armor check penalty for that armor applies only
to Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Sleight of Hand, and
Tumble checks. (PFCR 118)

-- TRAITS --
• GLORY OF OLD (Regional: Five Kings Mountains): In your veins flows the
blood of dwarven heroes from Tar Taargadth. You receive a +1 trait bonus on saving
throws against spells, spell-like abilities, and poison. (PFCo: DoG 11)
• RESTLESS WAYFARER (Campaign: Reign of Winter): You have long led a
nomadic life. Some call it wanderlust, but to you the thought of new places and
experiences is truly what makes life worth living. You are used to getting along in
unfamiliar lands and interacting with interesting new people. You gain a +1 trait
bonus on Knowledge (geography) and Knowledge (local) checks, and one of these skills
(your choice) is a class skill for you. You can also speak one additional language
(this does not count toward your number of languages). (PFCo: RoW PG 6)

Ah shucks :/.

You don't have to bother with any specific rules. It's just the filling in of the sheets and registering them online.

Definite interest. Will you be handing out PFS chronicles at the end Helio?

Do you know if there is a lot of aquatic adventuring going on, sailing and what not?

Thinking about a Catfolk/Vishkanya Swashbuckler(Whirling Dervish). Perhaps a less rare race if I can't fit them in story-wise, but since I play PFS so much I kinda get tempted by playing a rarer race :).

I have plenty of lowbies ready and waiting ^^

Agreed on trying out with a module. They are long enough to get a feel for it if it what you want.

I'm still looking to join a successful Jade Regent or Reign of Winter campaign. Have fully fleshed out characters for both :).

Good luck with the pickin'

And the guy we slew wasn't Klarkosh?

Yeah I have not done gear either, but would like to engage with the GM on what kind of things I can get that helps the distilling, riping, fermenting and aging process for alcohol.

Thank you :). Any feedback on my character would be welcome. I posted his stats and background on the first page of this thread.

Fenwick you STILL haven't included me in the list...

You completely missed my application as well :).
He is completed save for an alias, which will come as soon as I am selected.

It's the dwarven hunter Breunor "Brewmaster" Boulderbasher. Please check my previous post for background and crunch.
I haven't done gear yet, but I wanted to talk to you about it. Since I want him to carry a portable set to distill alcohol and a couple of small vats for aging stronger stuff and brewing beer.

Let me know what you think.
