GM Upaynao |
Hello again everyone! Please supply me with the following:

Any weird mechanic you feel I should know about in advance?
GM Upaynao |
Also, while we might have the full cast from part 2 return, we may also have to recruit a couple more. Bear with me as I fill in the ranks!
Alexis "The Odd" Trismegistis |
Holy crap! Lmao.. I had completely forgotten that this was coming! Thanks for keeping us in the loop!!
Ditto! Good thing Alexis has been at loose ends for a while....

PFS #: #40025-22

Any weird mechanic you feel I should know about in advance?
- +4 trait bonus to Diplomacy checks to influence creatures with at least 5 more HD than I
- 2 uses of the "Explore, Report, Cooperate" Boon
- 1 "Draw from the Deck" Boon (which I don't expect I'll be using this game, but just the same)
- the Guiding Star Hex; please keep me apprised when I'm any place/time it applies
GM Crunch |
Yeah, it's been a bit. Good to be back!
In terms of characters I have a bard, a monk, and a knight, at 5/5/6 respectively. I have a vague preference for the knight, but he does mounted combat and I saw the subjective gravity thing, which'd make things difficult. And the monk is mute.
In the interest of keeping decisions simple, I'll probably just pick whichever fills a needed role.
Thaia Rossenvelt |
Yeah, this would have been more convenient in May, but thanks for the heads up. Thaia is currently otherwise engaged, so I'll have to look about for something later today.
Draklor Ribiera |
I'ma just go for the bard. Makes things simpler.
Player Name: Crunch
Character Name: Draklor Ribiera
PFS #: 150618-13
Day Job: Perform (oratory): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Perception modifier: +8
Initiative modifier: +5
Any weird mechanic you feel I should know about in advance? Flagbearer feat, good Knowledge and social skills. I've got Lore Master, and also can roll twice on a skill check once per day.
GM Upaynao |
Ok, so it looks like we are missing one?
I'll post in recruitment.
Enora - Arcanist Iconic |
Would love to join!!
I do not have a character in tier so I would like to play Enora level 4 Arcanist iconic. We played in GM Tyranius Sniper in the deep together. ;-)
Player: noral
Character: Enora, Arcanist 4 (credit to Setare Katsu)
PFS: 314670-3
Day job: none
Faction: Scarab Sages
Advancement: normal
Initiative: +2
Perception: +1
Mun of Ashava |
If this game would be done by the start of Gameday VII on Aug 13, I have this Oracle 4 who could join.
GM Upaynao |
If this game would be done by the start of Gameday VII on Aug 13, I have this Oracle 4 who could join.
Chances of that are slim. Sorry!
Mun of Ashava |
That's for the best; I just remembered that I have a different PC that I want to run through the whole trilogy. Need to stop getting ahead of myself!
Enjoy your game! :)
Cel Corona |
I heard there's a spot open. Which is great, as this character has played parts 1 and 2 of Tyranny of the winds.
Player Name: Chadius
Character Name: Cel Corona
PFS #: 133608-18
Day Job: Profession(Soothsayer): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Perception modifier: +7
Initiative modifier: +6
Any weird mechanic you feel I should know about in advance? So, I took a boon, fighting off Corruption (Hellbound). She is possessed by a devil, which leaves her permanently sickened.
At some point during the adventure, the GM must ask me to make a DC 20 Fort or Will Save. If I succeed, I'm still sickened, but at the end of the adventure I'm finally cured of the sickness.
Shera Dionas |
Shera Dionas cleric of Erastil at your service. If you'll have her.
Player Name: CariMac
Character Name: Shera Dionas
PFS #: 110249-4
Day Job: None
Perception modifier: +6
Initiative modifier: +4
Any weird mechanic you feel I should know about in advance?
She's a Herald Caller, but doesn't end up summoning too often.
Thaia Rossenvelt |
So since Thaia is still otherwise occupied (I'm sure everyone will miss her), I have two options available: Agirran the Fury (fighter (viking) 2/water school wizard 1), or Rilia, Sacred Hetaira (who is just finishing up a game--I'm thinking Friday-- after which she will be bard 2/cleric of Calistria 2). When are we starting?
Theophilus Flink |
I've done parts I & II (actually with Cel/Corona), so I'd love to hop into part III with Theophilus (a kineticist with a distinctly roguish bent)
Thornberry |
Thornberry was also on that expedition with Cel/Corona that sadly did not get to do pt 3.
Player Name: Eddv
Character Name: Thornberry
PFS #: 133118
Day Job: Perform Woodwind: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
Perception modifier: 10
Initiative modifier: 2
Any weird mechanic you feel I should know about in advance?
Got a leshy familiar.
(He has leveled to 3 since then)
GM Upaynao |
Who?: 1d5 ⇒ 4
Alright, looks like we are going with Theo on this one. If I wasn't hovering on the verge of a burnout, I'd actually offer to run another table, but I don't think I have it in me.
Thank you everyone! We will be starting shortly? Depends on the rest of you.
Theophilus Flink |
Woohoo!
Player Name: Cwethan
Character Name: Theophilus Flink
PFS #: 182453-7
Day Job: Profession (Merchant): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 - Minimum 50gp earned due to Exchange Boon
Perception modifier: +7
Initiative modifier: +6
Any weird mechanic you feel I should know about in advance? Pretty standard kineticist stuff, but generally speaking he'll try to open doors, chests etc. from a distance with his telekinesis.
I'll get my intro post in probably sometime tonight (if I can't snag a moment earlier).
Agirran the Fury |
Player Name: Great Green God
Character Name: Agirran the Fury
PFS #: 139009-17
Day Job: Profession (sailor, Expanding Trade Network): 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 6 + 2 = 26
Perception modifier: +0
Initiative modifier: +2
Any weird mechanic you feel I should know about in advance? He has a Charisma score lower than Thaia's. Beyond that there is nothing overly strange about him mechanically speaking. Thematically though Agirran is a Shackles, Ulfen, pirate, war wizard, who wields a greataxe. Picture the scariest-looking hard-core biker gang member you can who has been living the life for more than two decades, then make him a viking, pirate, wizard and that is Agirran.
As he is just gettin' into the whole magic thing he will probably want to swap books with Agate for studying purposes.
Agirran the Fury |
So here's the dilemma. Agirran figures that Jamila knows where the Horn is but is stalling for some reason. By itself this is not good considering we are in a race against others and that they probably know we are here given our team's social graces.
Every time Agirran attempts to use enhanced interrogation methods to squeeze the truth out of the of dissembling spy someone in the party stops him and then let's her turn invisible....
Then because we have left the Cod Fire King active and not in an Agrarian-induced coma, the furry bastard (The Cod, not Jamila) will be able to sell all the information he has on us to the highest bidder--probably our competition.
If Cod is such a big fish in town then logically the competition goes to see him at some point. Since Agirran can't speak directly to nor probably defeat the troll and all his minions by himself (one on one he would so totally go back there right now and pull a Stanley Kubrick's Shining "Here's Johnny!" on him). He's probably stuck lurking around the bar waiting for someone to show up--totally not his thing. But following Jamila around seems like a big time waster too, especially since he doesn't trust her any further than Theo can drag her (which, by the way there are encumbrance penalties to Stealth so maybe Ollo should do the helping out there).
GM Upaynao |
Unless you want me to weigh in on the conversation you are having, I'm just going to pop on in to mention that Ollo has been gone for almost a month now. It is my plan not to give him a chronicle sheet in light of the fact that last I had heard of him he was pulling double shifts at the hospital he works at. This does not change your subtier, but it does change the dynamic on your end.
Theophilus Flink |
I'd rather reply in character, but since Agirran's grievances have mostly been internal monologue, here goes:
Theophilus doesn't hold being a liar or a thief against anyone.
When Jamila's messed with the Society in the past, it's been because she was working for the Concordance, who were then also opposed to us.
We've recently come to an arrangement with them, so he doesn't see any particular reason why Jamila should be treated as an enemy here.
Agirran the Fury |
Truth!
Agirran the Fury |
Also! Should we survive, Agate, you need any first level spells that are not in your book?
Agate |
I'm going to be travelling today and tomorrow, so...
1. After releasing her concentration on the rainbow pattern, she'll take out her light crossbow and cast Magic Weapon on it.
2. She'll then try to hit Challisier with crossbow fire. She has 20 bolts (all cold iron, not that it matters). Relevant feats: Point-Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Rapid Reload.
3. If Challisier tries to escape, she'll cast Magic Missile at him.
4. If anyone wants to be able to fly, she can cast Fly on them. If she needs to fly for some reason, she'll cast Elemental Body I on herself.
GM Upaynao |
You'll have your chronicle sheets tonight. Feel free to apply to other PbPs as desired.
GM Upaynao |
And by tonight, I meant obviously the next day. #rolleyes.
Obviously threaten me with physical harm should there be a mistake on your sheets.
Also, if you are paying a share (or a double share) of gold to pay for Jamila's release, do not forget to either spend 250gp or 500 gp. The total need only be 1250 gp.
Thank you for your patience and happy gaming!
Agirran the Fury |
Um, that's just Agate's sheet.
Agirran the Fury |
Looks good here!
Also, if you are paying a share (or a double share) of gold to pay for Jamila's release, do not forget to either spend 250gp or 500 gp. The total need only be 1250 gp.
"They said they'd cover me." Agirran says with a wink and then points to the people following him.
Honestly, Agirran would rather kiss Bitterbloat than spend money on a frigid skirt that didn't give him any play, but I'll knock off 250 gp from the chronicle since Agirran is technically one of the level babies in the party.
Theophilus Flink |
Looks good here too - Thanks for the game!
Alexis "The Odd" Trismegistis |
Also, if you are paying a share (or a double share) of gold to pay for Jamila's release, do not forget to either spend 250gp or 500 gp. The total need only be 1250 gp.
I offered to help pay, but never actually committed (nor was asked to commit) to a sum; is 250 on my part good enough?
Using my folio reroll on my Day Job Roll:
Profession (Astrologer): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33 That's more like it. Please adjust my sheet accordingly. :)
GM Upaynao |
250 is fine. Sent you a PM. Closing thread tomorrow.
