Background:

Mūn stands tall and thin, dressed both richly and fashionably in bright, finely tailored clothing, mostly dominated by reflective silvers and blues. His silver hair gains a deep blue tinge in shadow and his solid blue eyes constantly swirl and flow like iridescent paint. Lacking any iris or pupil, glittering silver flecks seem to float among the swirls of deep blue, echoing the impression of stars in the night sky.

Mūn is the second son of a Kyonin noble family, one of very few living in the gnomish Kyonin city of Omesta. To this day, Mūn believes that his family had been assigned to live in Omesta as part of an social experiment to explore living arrangements with other races—a project that might one day lead to Kyonin relaxing its border policies. What secrets underlie this convenient truth—for a truth it is—remain to be revealed.

When Mūn started to receive strange powers that clearly—to him—originated from the shining moon hanging in the sky above him, he believed them to be godly in origin. He sought far and wide to learn of a deity that held sway over or drew power from the moon. After much searching, he finally learned of an obscure Empyreal Lord called Ashava, who held both the moon and its subjects—lycanthropes!—in her domain.

All elves have their own version of “the Brightness”—that single accomplishment that will fully realize their truest self. As a result of his passion for this minor foreign deity, Mūn’s vision for himself is to one day—with Ashava’s divine assistance—become a true lycanthrope, to be fully in control of and in balance with the condition. A failure to achieve “the Brightness” in this way—he believes—will lead to an eternal reincarnation as the beast that Mūn failed with, repeating until he finds peace with that form.
