Hey gang,
Chased the Eclipse today - pretty tired going to turn in and check game tomorrow.
Cheers!I will quickly place my Token though...
Edit: GM, I am unable to quickly locate the link to the Maps. Could you place a link in your Avatar Dashboard and/or Campaign Header (or both)?
Just wanted to say that I took care of this and placed a MAPS link in my character header right after "conditions" so looking for Kiilo's latest post may help

Thank you, I'll also put a link to the folder in the header of the campaign.
Hope you got to enjoy the eclipse!

GM,
If you create a profile for your GM alias, in the "Gender" section, you can type the following link:
[ url=https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1w7GhdwKRa6KKVBhtRNBLvoyvDCfHYPdxVaWr_Lj4snE/edit#slide=id.g2c9ff1c74d8_0_0]Age of Ashes (Dahak) Maps[/url]
Just remove the space after the first bracket, and it'll link directly into the combat map, clickable whenever you post in that alias!
@Markus - I went ahead and created a token for you, and sat you up front!
=)

GM, maybe link the maps on the campaign?
There should be a link to the google folder on the short description of the campaign, and there should be a link to the maps just under my name when I post under Dahak GM Delta Arena.
So, I'm catching up to the optional rules we're using. Since we're going with Ancestry Paragon, we get a 2nd Ancestry Feat. I went with Natural Skill, which provides me with 2 skill trains. I picked Medicine :-)
Medicine and which is the second one?

GM - would you mind housing the map link directly in your posting alias and campaign header?
Cuts down the hunt and peck.
They should already be in both, whenever I remember to change the post as as to the right alias. I did forget to change the Alias last post.

Force Barrage is the Remastered name for Magic Missile.

Kiilo wrote:Can someone confirm for me that all I need to do is specify a 3action casting time and Force Barrage (magic missle shards) will do 3d4 +3 against a single creature? Thanks :)Do you have the text and/or link of the spell?
https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1536
Def knew it was the same as magic missle, now they are not "missles" they are force shards. I guess I just never did the math; if 1st level casters can basically make 3 attacks on the same person for a total of 3d4 +3, that is pretty awesome.
Cast at 3rd level, that appears to be 6d4 +6 also

GM,
Are there explicit mechanics for:1) Putting out the fire?
2) Hurrying folks out of the building?I am not seeing them anywhere in your posts.
There are no explicit mechanics, I have guidelines as to how much progress can be made based on what you are doing. There are also some examples of things that would work and would not work. But I am mostly responding to your ideas.
Kineticists, for example, didn't exist in 2e when the AP came out but they do have an ability to suppress their element. In this case, based on the bulk mentioned and how many actions it takes to perform, I decided that it puts out 2 squares of fire.
There are mechanics for how the fire grows and what happens during specific turns, but other than that it is pretty open.

Dahak GM Delta Arena |
Sure, if there is an idea you'd like to double check before spending actions let me know and I'll tell you how viable the idea is. I think a lot of it is very intuitive, like Vorgon supresing the fire or Mosquito spending his actions to get people out, whether by pushing them around or by guiding them, it would still get people to move.
A lot of it comes down to how many actions you are using to help out against how many of them are spent facing the Mephits.

It wasn't a Reflex save roll, but the amount of damage the reaction can do to the Mephit.
The Mephit still needs to make a "Basic Reflex Save" (1d20+?) "against the higher of your class DC or spell DC" (in this case DC 16) to see how much of the d8 damage the Mephit will take.

For the following encounters, should I have all enemies act in one block to speed up combat? Or should we continue playing with each type of enemy having its own initiative?

Dahak GM Delta Arena |
I think any effort to speed up combat is good.
BTW, I just noticed that Daze does 1d6 damage. The ability modifier is for the legacy version. Should I roll, or do we start doing it right next time?
You are right. Let's start doing it next time. Your ability modifier is right at the average of 1d6, so I don't think it would change much in the current encounter.

GM,
I'd like to step down from this game.
Would you please remove Jakub Thorn from the campaign?
1) Click "Campaign Info" tab
2) Click "Edit this Campaign"
3) Scroll down to "Players" and click the "Active" toggle of the players you want to remove
4) Scroll to "Characters" and click the "Active" toggle of the characters you want to remove
5) Click "Save Changes"
You kids have fun!

Nearly killed before even embarking on his first excursion - and left to die in a building come ablaze! - Jakub rethinks his impulse to heed the Call of Heroes, once again weighing the quiet life against one intentionally fraught with danger.
Returning to the soup kitchen, he quietly folds himself back into the operations there, and after 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 2) = 10 days, takes his leave of Breachill entirely.
In his own way: silent, vigilant, and proactive.

Mosquito. |

He will take War priest armor at 2nd.
At 3rd, he will be Trained in Martial, so he will Delay any Dedication stuff until then is my plan.
Are we cool with that? Always wanted to play a Hellknight and this seems appropriate.

Dahak GM Delta Arena |
From a mechanical standpoint I don't really mind. From a lore standpoint being a Hellknight of the order of the Chain seems Anathema to Cayden. I might even say that all but the Order of the Torrent, "a goodly organization based in Ravounel dedicated to hunting kidnappers and recovering the kidnapped," (Lost Omens: Character Guide, pg. 78) would be Anathema to Cayden.

Dahak GM Delta Arena |
From what I could find, the order of the Torrent is only mentioned in that one line. It doesn't have order feats like the major orders do.

Mosquito. |

I have seen that also....
This may be too complicated although I really would like it to work.
I could rethink his loyalty but...
Mosquito was a Fighter in his initial run at AoA. Cleric does complicate matters, although I like the flavor better.
We are only first. Let me mull this over a bit to see which Order may be workable.

Dahak GM Delta Arena |
I'm sorry, something happened today and I need to gather myself before I can put my next post together. I'll be back at it tomorrow.

Dahak GM Delta Arena |
Kiilo, I'm sorry I forgot to mention that it was also your turn in my last post.
I also apologize to everyone for the extra wait that causes.
In the future, if someone notices that I am missing someone's turn, feel free to call that out.
