Don't forget your plunder!

Thank you, Mr Fox. [/QUOTE

Woo hoo! Now it's up to me!

To start my fight with Svard, I'll recharge my Eagle Knight Dress Armor.

I'll take my chances with Wisdom for fighting Devil's Pallor...

Wisdom 7: 1d10 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7

I'll discard the Mace as a result of defeating the ship. And I get a random weapon in plunder.

I'll discard the Longsword to fight the Villain and display the Knight's Pennon to get +1. I'll also take advantage of Ezren's Magic Weapon.

Combat 15: 1d8 + 3 + 1d8 + 1d6 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (5) + 3 + (8) + (2) + 1 + (3) = 22

And the villain is defeated!

Scenario Development:

What a regatta! I don’t quite know who won, but I certainly know who lost: Gortus Svard! He’s gonna have to swim to shore, or maybe he’s diving to Besmara’s watery depths. I know one of you faced his ship head-on at the end there, so as far as I’m concerned, you’re the winner. No, wait! You’ve all won! You sink or swim together, like true mates. And best of all, the Pirate’s Council saw it all... if they were sober at the party, that is. Mayhaps one of them might be taking an interest in you and yer crew. If that happens, rest assured: yer next journey won’t be as easy. I hear tell there’s treacherous waters ahead. Set a course for the next adventure!

Scenario Reward: Each character draws a blessing from their box.

Your deck upgrade comes from the the party's cards plus the plunder under your ship.

For completing the 4th scenario, each character earns a character card. This is also the last scenario for the adventure, so each character earns a die bump (which I don't think we used so we each have two).

The Adventure reward is that, at the start of each scenario, each character can temporarily replace a card with a loot card with Adventure deck number 2.

Ship Plunder:
Vika - Parrot (Ally B)
Ekren - Longsword, Cutlass (Weapon B x 2)
Jirelle - Carver, Captain, Conch Shell, Jolly Roger (Ally B x 2, Item B, Item 2)
Koren - Cat-O'-Nine-Tails, Rapier (Weapon B x 2)

The group card pool is as follows:

Weapon B x 3
Armor B x 2
Armor 1
Armor 2
Item 1
Ally B
Blessing B

To recap - everyone gets a Blessing from their box of B, 1, or 2 (non-random as it doesn't say) and then you can take a deck upgrade from your plunder above or from the group pool.

I'm adding a Blessing of Iomedae instead of a BotG and I'd like the Armor 2 which I'll add as I take an Armor card feat:

Koren(jduteau) wrote:

Hand: Mace, Longsword, Lance, Weapon of Awe, Detect Evil, Cure, Eagle Knight Dress Uniform, Full Plate, Paladin's Helm, Fortified Shell Armor, Sage's Journal, Knight's Pennon, Retriever, BotG, BotG, BoSarenrae, BoIomedae

Note: Note: +1 Str, +1 Con, 1d6+1 when discarding an armor or blessing, Ally, Armor, 2 Die Bumps

The Exchange

Shouldn't I have Plunder from the two times I beat the Mark of Yunnarius?

Vika, Bellicose Blacksmith wrote:

Yes, you should!

Plunder 1 = 1d6 ⇒ 3 = Magic Leather Armor - Armor B
Plunder 2 = 1d6 ⇒ 4 = Liquid Ice = Item 2

Sorry.

How many feats of each type should we have? And what's a character card reward?

Ezren, Seeker of Knowledge wrote:

That should have been "card feat" instead of "character card".

At this point, you should have 2 skill feats, 2 card feats, and 2 power feats (and 2 die bumps).

The Exchange

I think the Blessing draw is supposed to be random. I can't find a reference in the Society Guide, but the WotR RB says:

RULES: DRAWING CARDS wrote:

Unless a card says otherwise, drawing means taking a card from
the specified source and adding it to your hand. If no source is
specified, draw it from your character deck. When you draw a
card from a facedown deck, such as a character deck, a location
deck, the blessings deck, or any other deck the game tells you to
create, draw from the top of the deck. When you draw a card from
a faceup pile, such as your discard pile, the blessings discard pile,
or any other pile the game tells you to create, draw a card of your
choice. When you draw a card from the box, unless you are told to
draw a specific card, draw a random card of the appropriate type.

But I seem to recall something about class deck play operating differently... So many rules.

I too recall it being different, but I did find the following in the Society Guide:

Quote:
instead of taking a card from the box, take a random card of the same type from your Class Deck box.

It's been awhile since we finished the other scenarios, so I suspect I'm just remembering it wrong. It should be a random Blessing.

That made my Blessing be Sarenrae instead of Iomedae.

The Exchange

Card Feat: Item
Deck Upgrade: Item 2 (From Plunder) - Helpful Haversack

Random Blessing:
Gods, Gods, Abadar, Gorum, Pharasma, Gozreh, Pharasma, Pharasma
Random Draw: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Don't want it.

Note: STR +1, CON +1, Hand 5, "add 1d6 +1", Item +1, Blessing +1

Looks like I forgot one of my skill feats.

I'll take an Armor feat and would like the Armor 1. That will give me:

Deck:
Sling
Acid Arrow
Dehydrating Touch
Force Missile
Sphere of Fire
Detect Magic
Augury
Augury
Magic Weapon
Magic Wooden Armor
Sapphire of Intelligence
Arcane Robes
Eye Patch
Fox
Sage
Acolyte
Toad

2 die bumps

Feats:

Hand Size: 6

+2 Int
+1 Armor
+1 Ally

After you play a spell that has the Arcane trait, you may examine the top card of your deck; if it is a spell, you may recharge it or put it in your hand.

When another character at your location attempts a combat check that has the Arcane trait, add 2 to it.

My blessing draw is useless, so I won't bother.

Just waiting for Jirelle's decisions on card feat, deck changes, and then we can move on to Adventure 3: Treacherous Waters!

Blessing = Gozreh.

what were my plunder cards if I may?

Jirelle The Pirate Queen wrote:

Jirelle - Carver, Captain, Conch Shell, Jolly Roger (Ally B x 2, Item B, Item 2)

plus the party-wide cards that are left:

Weapon B x 3
Armor B x 2
Item 1
Ally B
Blessing B

I will take Blessings as a card feat and add Gozreh

Dexterity d10 +1
Acrobatics +1
Finesse Melee +2
Constitution d8 +1
Fortitude +2
Intelligence d4
Wisdom d8
Survival +3
Charisma d8

Hand Size 7
Proficiencies; Light Armor, Weapons

If your check has the Swashbuckling trait, you may reroll one die

Reduce structural damage by 1

Weapons 4
Spells 0
Armor 1
Items 3
Allies 3
Blessings 6
