Welcome both! Just fyi, we have a discord server we use to chat randomly and as our means of communication should Paizo go down for weeks at a time. Galenus, Galinndan, Kanzen and I actually played a one-shot with one of my friends from another game via discord while Paizo was down.

Kanzen, I can't for the life of me remember what you played in that game (airship pirates banshee). Can you remind me?

Odak and Zoltan:

You stumbled upon each other while wandering the Underdark and stuck together for mutual aid and protection. You have now wandered, trying to find a way back to the surface, into Neverlight Grove, home to many sentient fungi called myconids. You weren't able to communicate with them until they released a puff of spores and then were able to speak directly into your minds and you with them. You were introduced to two of them, Sovereign Phylo and Sovereign Basidia, who seemed particularly in charge. Phylo invited you to join it in the Garden of Welcome, an enclosed area of the grove. Basidia seemed somewhat concerned about this but didn't say anything. Phylo leads you merrily into the grove...

This is where you are when you meet the PCs in a little while.

Maybe you know of my history. I may not remember you, but having someone in the group knowing how far he fell when the accident happened would be awesome. Maybe our families were rivals and, not knowing me personally you had celebrated a blow to the family. That could bring some interesting character development when you actually get to know me.

It's occurred to me that Zoltan or Odak could have feasibly heard of Gallindan.

His background is folk hero, mainly from fighting orcs threatening his people then hunting drow, which is what led him to being captured.

He was a lot more cheerful before having to fight a lot of orcs and drow.

Irdril, I've been re-reading magic stone lately and I think it's not nearly as good as we thought it was. :(

I don't think it grants a bonus action attack, just a bonus action to enhance stones which then can be used to attack. Consider that it doesn't have any wording saying you make an attack as part of the bonus action of casting the spell, unlike spells like green flame blade "As part of the action used to cast this spell, you must make a melee attack with a weapon against one creature within the spell's range." Let me know if you find something different to support our old interpretation. I would, of course, let you retrain this cantrip if it's less interesting to you when it doesn't grant an extra attack.

There's some decent ideas about house ruling Magic Stone to be a bit better, in that thread. We may want to consider some of them.
