Ok, guys. I got an idea to turn these curses into our favor.

Basically, when we get to the alter of this blood sacrifice god, I stop my disguise self spell and show all the blood and declare the Deep Father is speaking through me (and with the fish smell declare that he's honored me as a Kuo-tao), and the say he's commanded me to have all Deep Father worhippers to... Something...

What?

Order them to migrate away?
Order them to attack the drow?
Order peace and harmony with the Sea Mother?

What do you think? How can we make this work for us?

Irdril, technically you can't give up your action to get a second bonus action but I don't really see the need for that rule so you won't see it enforced by me, unless something unexpectedly broken arises.


Ok, yea I wasn't sure how that worked tbh. I don't see it as something I would do often. Bonus action are rarely better than a full action. Is this instance my only heals are bonus so..

300 xp for mostly defeating the tough kuo-toa, 150 XP for helping defeat the arch-priestess, 50*2 for the normal kuo-toa, and 400 for surviving your encounter with Demogorgon to finish chapter 3. Split 6 ways, that's rounded up to 159 XP each. Eddrikk, welcome to level 3.

So we're going to skip over a lot of travel here since I made you guys grind through the travel from Velkynvelve to Sloobludop. That was 8 days. It takes 20 days to get from Sloobludop to Gracklstugh on foot so I'd say it takes 8 days to go there as the crow flies. What I'm going to do is make 8 days worth of random encounters rolls and pick the most interesting/hardest day and have us go through that one then hand-wave the rest of the travel. This way, there's still some cost for fast traveling a really long distance (chance of a terrifying day without getting XP to prepare for it!).

Sorry, I've had a very busy weekend, between study, Australia's version of the Superbowl, and running a live game last night. I am very busy still, but I should be able to keep pace from now on. Bear in mind that for the next five weekends I'll be on the road playing at festivals, weddings, and other events, so my weekend posting may be spotty. But I'll try to keep a good posting rate through the week. GM: So I totally missed Galenus's reduce spell on the giant. I thought it was huge, which was why I went for the climbing thing. Otherwise I would have just grappled it - the climbing on rule is for creatures two sizes or more bigger than you. Anyway, fortunately it hasn't wrecked the encounter, just letting you know.
