I just changed my cantrip to firebolt, so a +2 Int may work out rather well. Also, so might Elemental Adept, and have the ability to bypass fire resistance. Hmmm... Decisions..

Galinndan Siannodel |

Honestly, I'd say a tossup between dungeon delver and more int.

caster4life |

Duck camp? That sounds pretty interesting. What is that?
Also, Galinndan: You are doing such a great job RPing this madness. Inspiration. Though you need not use it to attack your friends.

Galinndan Siannodel |

A positive and negative trait of Galinndan : he is rarely slow to act when he sees immediate danger.
And cheers!
Edit: Oh, the bitter irony about those he's ended up attacking...

Galinndan Siannodel |

A critical question: How much does Galinndan remember of the last fight? And of what he saw?

caster4life |

Galinndan remembers being swarmed by demons! Now he wakes up surrounded by friends but at 1 hp...
Also 158 xp each for that last fight. I'm giving you 100 bonus xp because, though those enemies aren't that tough, the short term madness effects certainly are. That brings Cyrus, Galinndan, and Kanzen up to level 4.
Also note that I had a question for everyone in discord so please give your input on that here or there. It regards the possibility of a 7th player. A good friend of mine is looking to get into PBP as he just moved to Europe. I want the party's opinion on adding him as a 7th. He'd likely play a divine soul sorcerer.

caster4life |

Also, note that my offer to turn a cool image of your choice (within certain limits) into a backgroundless avatar on the map. Galinndan and Irdril are the only ones who took me up on this so I kept waiting for others to share images but it didn't happen. But now Galinndan and Irdril are on the map in their full glory and will continue to look awesome. It's up to the rest of you to decide if you want to look awesome too. ;)

Galinndan Siannodel |

We're looking well!
And damn, those madness effects can be brutal.

Galenus |

I am very happy with the image of Galenus that I have. Thanks, though!

Cyrus Darkwater |

I'm fine with adding your buddy.
I was pretty sure I dropped an Image awhile back.
HD: 1d10 ⇒ 7

Kanzen Millithor |

Bring on your mate, caster :) (In Australia 'mate' means your good buddy, not someone you procreate with!) To be fair, lately I've been a serial offender in terms of your desired posting rate, so I have no cause to object adding someone else - so long as they're not slower than me!
Also, re: character token, I'm good with what I have.
Edit: Level up, woo!

caster4life |

Cyrus, I looked back and didn't see an image posted by you but I have a vague recollection of one. Was it in a PM? If you could re-send it somehow, that'd be great.
Ok, all. I'll tell him to gear up. :)

Cyrus Darkwater |

It's in main chat but I can probably get a better one.
Did you want "full body" like the ones on the map now or does a portrait work?

caster4life |

It's your image so you can choose what you want. I can go back and find the one in gameplay if that's the one you like.

caster4life |

Found it. Will get that added later today. Feel free to bug me if it's not there by tonight.

Galinndan Siannodel |

I may be delayed in posting over the next two days. Bot as needed!
Edit: Thinking this feat, to round Dexterity up to 18. It think it suits Galinndan's stabby nature. (The other candidates were Acrobatic or Stealthy)
Elven Accuracy
(Xanathar's Guide to Everything)
Prerequisite: Elf or half-elf
The accuracy of elves is legendary, especially that of elf archers and spellcasters. You have uncanny aim with attacks that rely on precision rather than brute force. You gain the following benefits:
Increase your Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20
Whenever you have advantage on an attack roll using Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma, you can reroll one of the dice once.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Excellent!
Level 4 Revised Ranger
+8 Hp -> 36 Hp
Class Features:
Ability Improvement: Feat

Galinndan Siannodel |

Oh wow, dex does a *lot* for a ranger.
To hit, damage, init, dex save, and key skills just went up!

caster4life |

Indeed! Dex is the super attribute for many classes. Barbarian carefully states that it's bonus damage only applies to str-based attacks, else dex barbs would be very, very good.

Cyrus Darkwater |

I couldn't really pass up a dex boost either had to choose between +1 Dex/Wis or Squat Nimbleness.
I don't think we found any mad duergar but we've got letters and notes and things.
Also I don't think anyone explicitly stated it but if no one took the Egg Cyrus definitely wouldn't leave without that.
We also forgot about the magic fungus the whole time I think.

Cyrus Darkwater |

Was taking a look thru GP to refresh things.
Did we manage to find the "Cool Alchemist's Treasure in chests and desk?" I don't see any of it in the loot tab.
There's also Droki's boots of speed, an hourglass, a few sacks of coins and a spellbook that seem to be missing. Were these already divvied up?

Kanzen Millithor |

Just a heads up, it's Australia Day weekend and I'm gigging non-stop over the next three days. Posting may be minimal, feel free to bot me as required. Also, I'll get my level up done over that same period. Thanks in advance!

caster4life |

Cyrus, you guys did find this stuff but not the extra thing that was hidden there. I'll count on you guys to track your loot. Thanks for taking the initiative on that, Cyrus.
Thanks for the heads up, Kanzen! Have fun!

Galenus |

I have them linked on my character profile. Never went back to fully categorize them.

Cyrus Darkwater |

Ok. Just wanted to make sure.
@Caster: Are there any Underdark items or mounts available that are not listed in the PHB?

caster4life |

Fantastic question! The answer is a resounding yes. Now what you find in Gracklstugh is a little less exotic than in Menzoberranzen but you don't want to go there.
Giant lizard: 75 gp. Hold breath variant is 150 gp. Spider climb variant is 350 gp.
Silent auger: Capable if quietly drilling a 1 inch wide hole in wood or equivalent material if you use a flask of oil. 25 gp.
Potion of arms of Hadar: 50 gp
Potion of armor of Agathys: 50 gp

Galinndan Siannodel |

Considering options. Was there any more gold besides the 350 worth of voucher?
Thinking silvered adamantine short sword...

Galenus |

Now that we're out of a combat environment, here's the stuff my character found regarding treasures, that haven't been used. Who wants what?
8 flasks of acid
5 vials of alchemist's fire
Alchemical recipes scrawled in Dwarvish (arcana check and Dwarvish)
One potion of healing
One potion of fire breath
One potion of psychic resistance
jar of Keoghtom’s ointment, 2 doses
potion of invisibility,
a scroll of illusory script.
Droki's spellbooo with Tensors floating disk and feign death.
Boots of speed
One of a kind hat
Darkmantle satchel
Pages of lizard-skin parchment held together between two leather covers from two different books. The pages are full of mad scribbles and arcane formulas, but a character proficient in Intelligence (Arcana) can study them for 1 hour to discover that they constitute a spellbook containing the Tenser’s floating disk and feign death spells.
A strange lump of black metal.
A scroll in a copper tube and four small pouches containing stone giant toenail clippings and skin flecks. Each pouch is tagged with a different name, and the scroll contains a list of names matching those on the tags, together with descriptions. One of the names is “Dorhun,” with a description corresponding to Stonespeaker Hgraam’s apprentice. The rest of the names belong to other stone giants of Clan Cairngorm.
Adding to group coin:
A mithral medallion of Laduguer worth 125 gp
hourglass worth 50 gp,
and a small leather bag containing 45 gp and 15 sp.
1 gp and 10 sp

Cyrus Darkwater |

I wouldn't mind some alchemy.
I believe the lump of metal was absorbed into the obelisk.
The boots are good for anybody but I'd suggest they go to a melee combatant or a caster.

Kanzen Millithor |

I'd love the potion of healing - I seem to be requiring it fairly often, and I feel bad making Irdril and Cyrus spend their actions to heal me all the time!
I'm sure anyone would like the boots, and I'm no exception, but they may be better suited to a caster to help them get in a good position, or out of a bad one. Also, I'm a dual wielder, and the boots take a bonus action to activate, which halves my damage potential on rounds where I'd activate or deactivate them. A small factor, but there it is.

Kanzen Millithor |

Kanzen level up: Paladin 2
Hp: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Hp +7 >> 32
Fighting Style: Mariner (as long as not wearing heavy armour or shield: swim and climb speeds of 30'; +1 to AC)
Divine Smite
Spellcasting: 2 1st lvl slots/long rest (DC 12, spell attack +4)
Looking at spell loadouts, the first three that come to mind are bless, protection from good and evil, and shield of faith. Cure wounds is also a possibility if we want more healing options. I'd love to hear other party members' advice!

Galenus |

As an alchemist, I can make potions of healing daily. I've been slowly turning my PC into a healer and buffer via potions and vials.
So if our rangers, bard, and paladin want to focus on other areas, I can cover for the healing. At least a little bit. :)

caster4life |

Yes Cyrus, the lump of metal was absorbed.
Irdril, most mundane items can be looked up on sites like this while magic items generally are not available for purchase except for some exceptions (potion of healing for 50 gp).
Galenus, sounds good! Also, note that the new player will be a divine soul so he'll add a little healing too. You guys are pretty solid regarding that.

Cyrus Darkwater |

@Irdril: Regarding magic items there are also the two potions he mentioned earlier. Arms of Hadar and Armor of Agathys. 50gp ea.

caster4life |

Galenus says (in Discord) he needs to step down as treasurer (but will still play). Cyrus kindly volunteered to be treasurer.
Galenus, will you let Cyrus know if/when the loot sheet is up to date?

Galenus |

Sheet updated.
I'd like to take the Spellbook, Alchemical recipes, and any potions/Alchemical items others do not want for themselves.
For my 350 worth of supplies, I'd like an Alchemical kit for 50 gp, and the rest to be spent on adding spells to my Spellbook. That will give me 6 levels worth of spells.
I can grab Tensors Floating Disk (50) and Illusary Script (50) based on our current supplies. Feign Death is level 3 (150), and I'm not sure if I can add it now (Ruling on this?). Gives me 50 gp more.
Also, earlier I rolled 4 hours to study the Alchemical notes (I think?). Have we had a four hour break yet?

caster4life |

Galenus, that's the price for copying ones you've found, which you have some and is fine (as long as you can cast that level). But if you want to copy other spells from wizards in Gracklstugh, you'll have to find them and probably pay them.
Regarding the alchemist's notes, you figure out how to make acid and alchemist's fire. From the materials in his lab, you could make
1d4 ⇒ 2 of them if you went back.

Galinndan Siannodel |

Apologies for the delay. I've had a tiring few days.

Cyrus Darkwater |

Still need to find a home for these marvelous objects:
Boots of Speed.
2 Potions of Healing.
Keoghtom’s ointment (2 Doses)
Potion of Invisibility
Potion of Fire Breath
potion of Psychic resistance
Acid x6
Alchemist Fire x3
I can always roll randomly if no one speaks up.
Also,
Scroll of Illusary script: Galenus can copy this later right?

Galenus |

I'm asking for all left over alchemists stuff. So the fire and acid flasks, whatever potions people don't want, etc..
If no one is going to take the boots of speed, I'll take them. It would certainly help Galenus keep up with everyone else!
Regarding scrolls, I can transcribe any spell that's 2nd level or lower, at a cost of 50 gp per spell level. I have 200 GP of supplies available for it. Looks like it's a 1st level spell, so I can! :)

Galinndan Siannodel |

I think Galenus should take the boots, and Galinndan would appreciate healing potions. Actually, the potion of psychic resistance too.

Cyrus Darkwater |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |

Done and Done.
Kanzen gets the Ointment
Irdril gets the potion of Invis.
Eddrick gets Fire Breathing.
Does that work for everyone?
