Stone already has a head band of wisdom and the positive channeling maybe Dev can use the charisma boost. But he will take the studded leather unless someone is better suited it will drop his AC some but increase his movement. Also an amulet of Nat armor would be appreciated.

Ok, so what I am reading, is that SEV would like an amulet of natural armour.

Stone, problem, is that you cannot wear both the phylactery and the headband, they both take the same spot.
but the studded leather, I suggest we sell, and get you something better for you to wear. .. IE . .enchant the chain shirt. :)

The overlapping problem, is why I have not claimed an amulet of Natural armour.

Severo, as a front-line fighter, should take the Sihedron Medallion.

This medallion hangs on a leather cord, a silver disc inscribed with the Sihedron. While worn, a Sihedron medallion grants its wearer a +1 resistance bonus on all saving throws. Once per day, as a free action, it may be commanded to bestow the effects of false life on the wearer. Placed on the neck of a dead body, a Sihedron medallion preserves the body indefinitely via a gentle repose effect. By the way, once activated the False Life effect last for five hours. 1d10 + 5


Yep, Devora has the Charisma headband. She also wields daggers for close up work, but avoids this as much as possible. So, go ahead and sell the Longsword.

Around 10 extra HPs and +1 to saves versus a +1 to AC?

Plus it is a free action to activate the Sihedron's False Life. It is your action you are down to 1 or 2 HPs, the medallion may let you survive.

Of course, the extra +1 AC maybe the difference between getting hit or not getting hit.

Both have their pluses. ;)

Can one upgrade the medallion to improve the resistance bonus?


The short answer is "yes." However, what would be required to do so?

1.) Craft Wonderous Items feat, which Elektra has.
2.) Material cost. The difference between a +1 to saves item and a +2 to saves item is 3000gp. So half this cost 1500gp.
3.) Then a day and half to actually upgrade it to provide a +2 Resistance Bonus.

GM, is there any way that we can get or have Elektra, or some other Mage change the Sidhedron from Resistance bonus, to Natural Armour ??

This way, it will still do everything the current medallion does, but does not interfere with wearing of an amulet of Natural Armour.
and if there is a cloak of resistance, the first bonus is not affected, as they are the same bonus.

Currently the only way I can see it right now, is basically having someone rebuild one. :(


I guess the same principle applies to adding a new magical effect as that of enhancing a magic item. The issue, is that it may be easier to just create a "Brooch of Natural Armor" or a Bracer of Natural Armor." The cost would be far less to make a new item than giving another magic item a third ability. The point is to create an item that can be worn into a slot that does not conflict.

To be honest I do not think changing an existing and also quite iconic item would work. Enhancing the shihedron for better Resistance sounds good especially as one can then wear a different cloak then.

Well, Severo won't give an apathetic sunday morning... visit about who gets what money. But as a player I think it wouldn't unduly affect her to be left out of the cash pool. Bards are pretty equipment neutral (Save for that Banner of the Ancient Kings), so she doesn't need as much of the good stuff as say, a barbarian would. With Inspire Courage and modest arrow damage at a distance, I think she'd be fine with the extra we pick up.

Then of course, we can save up for cool stuff for us. Just one opinion of course, but I thought I'd share.

My thought was the giants, as the dragon can be kept occupied via summons for a bit.

The giants are in the city, and need to be dealt with.

okay, here's the thing. i'm in favor of handling the dragon. it's a more immediate threat.

the Giants can be tracked, a flying dragon not so much.


I know that with Brandark there are days he is unable to post. So, discussions in this PBP format can be slow and cumbersome.

Goblins ate my post. But what I had said was that the dragon is currently being detained by Electra's friend. And the Giants are currently attacking the town. So while the dragon is engaged we should take care of the threat that is currently affecting the town. Or we could split up and take care of both the same time.

So that is 2 votes for the dragon, and 1 for the giants.

I thought Severo and Flynn were outvoted in favor of Giantslaying by Brandark, Stone and Electra? Either way, we'll have to hope the Bralani can keep the dragon busy for a while since we're closer to the giants now.

A related question for the GM; Can we slice open the bags the giants are carrying people away in? See, I have this adamantine sword here, and well...

To be honest I was counting that Electra had a chance to cast the spell, as the giant and the bralani have to move a lot, due to flying around.


Of course you can slice open the bags, but you could risk hurting the villagers inside.

Well, if it wasn't for my crappy dice luck, we would be through these giants a little quicker.

But I am glad that I am finally getting a chance to use my companion for what he is supposed to be.


I thought this series of encounters would be well suited for Brandark. Moving fast from one encounter to the next is an important aspect.

Good question. I would have to go back and see who was affected when Elektra cast the spell.
