Round 54

As the vampire spawn come upon you, you are likely relieved as they have to double move to get to your line of allies. Though two of them get slams off targeting Johanna missing as she dodges them. Rai hits the spawn that was just coming over the edge of the staircase. Seraphina burns the main target of her spell and singes the other one which was luckily Rai's target as well finishing it off. Alembic and Ingvarr hurt two spawn with their positive magic. Toki backed up and is ready to defend.

The quartet of Ingvarrs continue the ‘fall back’ signal and try to fortify the defensive line at the tower entrance with his song and battle cry. Frustrated at the group staying in the darkness, Ingvarr again shouts, ”Fall back and reform the line!” while hoping they know what they are doing deep behind the enemy line. He uses his horn’s healing ability on anyone who looks heavily injured on the new front line.

Seraphina claws tear at one of the spawn and takes it down as its corpse begins to turn to ash. Ingvarr waits to heal looking for wounds...

Koldur & Sable:
Koldur you smash three skeletons as the zombies approach. The black gem falls to the ground. Sable works to keep you as clear as possible.

Hundor comes forward slashind with his greatsword cleaving into two wounded spawn.

I will update map tomorrow if able, that means 5 spawn gone. There is plenty to fill those spaces. Everyone roll 2 Will saves DC14 at beginning of turn or be dominated for round 56, also roll 2d20, with their negatives only natural 20s hit. There is only 6 real threats out there now... Start round 56!

Koldur is gratified to not only see Sable stepping in time with his attacks but also Hundor as both wielders of large steel cleaves into the ranks of his enemies already split open by his charge. As he stoops to obtain the orb and stuffed it down his belt pouch, he feels something strike him................

Johanna was the only one adjacent I saw with damage, so she gets the 9 hp curing from last round and should be back up to full. Those of you taking the song, recall your +2 bonus to Will saves. Prayer also give a +1 on saves. Also, I think several are affected by Protection from Evil, which should block the domination effect.

I actually think he beats it with all his bonuses figured in. We have Prayer (+1) and Raging Song (+2) active which boosts his save to +10. Protection from Evil grants a +2 bonus vs evil mental control for +12 which should make both saves even with a rolled 3. And then if he fails, the Prot from Evil spell ends to provide a second save with yet another +2 bonus.

Forgot to mention that I have the crystal on my sword, so it counts as a magic weapon. Probably was the non-silver DR that got me, but just wanted to make sure.

Oh wow! Excellente! I was tired and just posting what I knew... forgot all the bonuses!

So he still walks like he was under their control but next to Seraphina he would bring the blade down upon them...

They all miss... but he didn't on his first swing!


Round 56

Total spawn dead: 5+1+2+2+1=11

Koldur takes 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 from a zombie slam. And the deeper darkness centered on him is gone. Koldur you can see three more and the true vampire just gloating over there with more.

Rai's spell splits and he takes down two with his attack. Johanna cuts two more down with efficiency. Seraphina hits with only one claw but that cuts another one down. Ingvarr keeps the buffs coming.

Same thing for round 57. But if you guys do about the same amount of damage I think their numbers will be low. No PC so I can't update the map yet. Tomorrow! You can do it only a few more rounds!

Koldur:
You see you are on the edge of the darkness which moves a bit... past the horde of undead you see that there is darkness surrounding the vampire. Then there is likely one on the ground on the far side of Sable. You can see the ogres that seem to be vampire spawn as well moving around trying to get to a spot to attack you. Two of them start wailing on Sable. The other ogres move around the horde and two of them become mist... gaseous form?No more vampire spawn are looking at you so no more will saves. You see Olivira, Jevar, and that large dwarf charge forward running towards the vampire.

Round 57

Seraphina takes down another spawn as her claws rip through it. Hundor grows to medium size and smiles more as he takes down three himself. Ingvarr heals Koldur. Rognarr channels once more though it does not seem to hurt the undead as much as before. Sable cuts down the three zombies that got to him. One more zombie strikes Koldur doing another 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 with its slam. The vampire withdraws.

Toki and his wolf mount take down two more spawn before them! He looks at Seraphina and asks, "Do you want me to keep them off that side too? I can hold the line there!" Alembic shoots another disrupt undead at the closest undead. A bright light encompasses the area, Fort DC 22 to not be dazzled. All darkness is gone and you can see what is left of the undead horde before you and surrounding Koldur.

Dazzled:
The creature is unable to see well because of over-stimulation of the eyes. A dazzled creature takes a –1 penalty on attack rolls and sight-based Perception checks.

Enemies have already been moved for round 58, if anyone kills an enemy then another will move up on their turn. Hundor and Sable go after undead.

The sudden bright flash of light fails to rattle him, his grip on his weapons unchanged. Once the gap opens, the ground beneath seems to have released unseen pressure as a tough dwarven battering ram proceeds on its charge to slam a mighty overhead slam on his target!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Koldur smashes a few of the undead around him as well. His axes a whirl of metal death spinning around his body.
