Well, seeing as my last post about trying to catch up was two weeks ago and I haven't been able to since then, it's become evident that I'm not going to have the time to keep up with you all this semester. I don't know about next semester or anything after that.

I really do love this campaign, and I really love being Flint. If there's any way I could stay in the background as an NPC until I can get a better handle on my life, I'd really prefer that to simple having to say goodbye. Either way, thank you so much for giving me the chance to play in this world and putting up with my absence.

No problem, Flint. We'll keep you as an NPC for now, and when you get things more under control, you're more than welcome to jump back in. I hope the rest of the semester goes well for you.

In the meantime, Krogge, Sweet Pea, Randu, and Rrruh will finish getting the NPC-ified Jack elected mayor.

spent my skills the same way except I'm alternating swim and climb.

for my combat style I chose archery and took rapid shot.

with that hp roll he's starting to look more tanky than I originally anticipated but I think im still gonna end up going into vigilante next level, provided the story supports it. The blue Corvus needs a sidekick... or a replacement since he's an npc now haha. Kinda have a Batman Beyond idea in my head.

I'll take average HP

The last lines of this feat(Kinetic Invocation) say that as a Gathlain Phytokineticist, I get the effects for free, so as my utility wild talent, I choose Goodberry. I can cast it at will for 1 burn. I'd like to flavor it as she grows the berries on her own vines, and they're pea pods.

Other than that, i just get some numbers.

+1 Reflex
4 skill points(Acrobatics, Bluff, Fly, Heal)
2 Background skill points (Craft(woodworking), Sleight of Hand)

That point in Bluff makes my Frustrating trait actually usable.

Catch off guard and throw anything are 2 feats I've always had fun. hit one mook with a barstool, and then throw the barstool at his friend haha, especially fun when you have an iterative attack so you can do that in the same round=)

Yeah those are two fun feats, I wasnt thinking of going Jackie Chan kung fu style with Rrruh but you know what, it can be fun too. Will pick catch off guard.


Just a peak behind the DM Screen, but I wanted to give you guys an idea of what I had in mind for the next phase in the campaign.

In order to spare you any more of the politics involved in reclaiming Falcon's Hollow, you will be sent on a journey south to Almas to get the clout needed to bring the Consortium to heel. Along the way, you will have to contend with attempts on your life by the Consortium, conflict between Valers and the fey, and other dangers on the long road through Andoran.

Let me know what you guys think. I want your feedback to ensure that the campaign remains enjoyable and fun.

Just a heads up, Had to have surgery on my shoulder Friday. It was "minor" but im one handed for a few weeks. Typing one handed is certainly more annoying than i had thought it would be. Sorry if im slower responding than usual. This last Winter has been the worst ive had *lawls*

Well, it turns out it was not one week of no fix, but two. The tech help I had had family emergencies pop up and I sure couldn't tell them to forget about that.
As it stands, right now, my lap top is a paperweight... whether it will actually be salvaged or not is unsure, so I'm getting a new one. I think it arrives this Thursday.
I have limited access to another computer, and will try to catch up at least a little but may still be relatively quiet until friday.

I feel about the same, I'm liking the feel of the campaign I just think everyone left wasn't planning on being the talkiest character. The political aspect is fun but all of our characters are outsiders in one way or another. I'm a half orc woodsman, Rrruh is a talking cat from halfway around the world, Sweet pea is a fey in a town that despises fay, and Randu is hiding his true nature for fear of his livlilhood and is at very least a minority in the town as a halfling. Ooc, I'm sorta wondering why any of us, besides Randu, really care.

And I want you to know, GM Vayelan, I mean this completely constructively with no ill will. This is the first PBP I ever did and I fell in love with the medium and am now fully invested in it so I thank you for that.

As for me personally I got a little in over my head this spring with my PBP and currently have 4 games going including this one but 2 of those will be wrapping up in the next month. That being said I will try much harder to make Krogge more talkative, albeit awkward to reflect that terrible charisma haha.

Also, Krogge, thank you for your insight on the party's role as outsiders. This has really given me something to think about as I develop the next stages of the game. I will work harder to tailor things to be more engaging for your characters.

Outsider or not, I think Rrruh is mostly good. He only has a connection to the party and Jack, which is fine, His plans for teaching the folk of Falcon's hollow can become a greater focus, after all, his kung fu is good :P

Sneaky stealth things always seem to slow things down in PbP. While Rrruh has always been more of a cautious sort, in this case His plan would be simple. We all get to the wall, we get as close to the "sleeping hut" as possible. Leave Krogge, Randu on the wall for now, have sweat pea fly above the rooftop.

With everyone on the wall the inside part is a bit of a shooting gallery, we have high ground and partial cover (probably) Rrruh will slip down and take out as many as he can, and when he's discovered or it starts to go south, he will hightail it for the wall.

Any counter ideas?

Actually that sounds good to me. Randu can feather fall as a witch power (Self only) so his being on a wall is fine. As mentioned ICly, he can create a simple illusion, and if anyone has ideas on how to make that work for the best he's happy to hear it.

Pretty sure this trip is going to increasingly let his abilities 'out of the bag' as it were, but all the better really as it helps the group know what they can draw on :)

Krogge has darvision 90 feet so I should be able to clearly see the entire fort it think? I'm fine with this plan, i can pelt with arrows and jump down with the great axe for melee once the stealth part has passed.

Randu what might be the most effective is simply an illusion of where we are standing on the wall, without us being seen. with that, and the darkness we can probably stay hidden for a while even with us shooting directly down on them.

in an AP group i was in a few years ago we had a goblin caster who used that spell to make it seem like there were dozens of golbin's scaling the walls instead of just 3.

I wouldn't worry about it, I'd guess we might qualify for a suprise round so you'll probably get another attack before they can act. We got this as long as we play it safe, and hey like you were saying, Randu needs to start flexing those arcane... uh acorns.
