So Thursday I got word that my little sister was diagnosed with a stage two invasive breast cancer. Its essentially the same one that took our grandmother and great aunt. Im seeking a 2nd job to help with upcoming medical bills and will do my best to keep up with my commitments here becuase i'll need something to distract my mind. If i seem distant or vacant feel free to give me a nudge i wont hold it against you.
You and your family have my sympathies, as well.
Look out for yourself and your family first, but we'll be here when you have time for a fun diversion.

Cool item.
So first question would be...it can be flipped as an immediate action, but does it have to be in hand to do so? How is the action it would take to retrieve it handled? Or does it teleport into your hand if being targeted?
Also do you need to have a hand free (for example being targeted while climbing or casting a spell)?

I actually discussed these concerns with my friend when he first pitched the idea to me.
Regarding the first question, in order to keep the item from being made useless due to needing a move action to retrieve, once the bearer drops to 10% HP, they find the coin appears in their off hand.
Regarding the second question, after watching my friend demonstrate being able to flip a coin while still holding both various household items and weapons from his display collection, I'm going to say that you do not need a free hand. If you're in the middle of casting a spell, though, it will require a concentration check to weave the coin flip into the somatic component.

Who got the light crossbow +1 :)
if no one Miya would like
The Studded amor +1 is free again
Unless someone needs the braces +2 as they cant use Amror
:)

Miya Setsuko Fuyaki |

Rrruh Crossbow is your if everyone is happy.

Miya Setsuko Fuyaki |

Circlet of Persuasion is yours Randu if everyone is happy.

Miya Setsuko Fuyaki |

Did someone claim the Belt of Str +2
I ask as the braces do less for Miya than the Belt as a +1 to hand to hand would be good. Happy to switch out.

Layla Varenne |

Randu already has something for the headslot I think. Randu, can you even wear armor?
If he can't like most witches, then I think Randu should get 1st shot at no armor AC items. And if Randu getse the bracers, you can keep the studded armor and get the combat boost from the belt.

Randu already has a headband of vast intelligence +2 which helps his spells. So the circlet of persuasion should likely go to someone else. And nope, Witches are not proficient in any sort of armor or shield and Randu is no exception.

Miya Setsuko Fuyaki |

Im ok you haveing the belt Rrruh if others are.

Layla Varenne |

Okay so we're looking at
Layla: 20 +1 merciful bullets
Miya: Bracers of Armor +2 (unless you want to wear the armor and give Randu the bracers since he can't wear any)
Rruh: Light Crossbow +1, Belt of Giant Strength +2
Randu:
Still up for gabs:
Pearl of Power (Lvl 2).
Soldier's Lucky Coin
Circlet of Persuasion
Cloak of Resistance +2
studded leather +1

Miya Setsuko Fuyaki |

Miya will give the braces to Randu and use the studded leather +1
Dibs on the Soldier's Lucky Coin as it seems fun. hehe

Randu |

That's very kind of you, Miya P. I wasn't going to make a big fuss over the bracers because well, it's useful for anyone but it is nice to get a bit more protection. VERY Nice. Whew.
And yeah, I think the Magic Coin fits a Fox related character :)

And yeah, I think the Magic Coin fits a Fox related character :)
This is actually humorously appropriate.
The friend who asked me to playtest the magic coin has the nickname "Coyote" among our friend group, and his wife likewise has the nickname "Fox" among our group. She loves everything fox-related, including kitsune characters in media.
They will both be delighted to know that a kitsune ninja tested out the coin.

Flips the coin and sees a head.
I have been a bit ill of late, so have at long last bitten the bullet and decided to take a year off work and write, just write, Get all these made ideas down from my head and into some form of writenessnes.
As my mate once said.
"We walk in other worlds, us writers"
Hope is to be one to.

Miya Setsuko Fuyaki |

Good news all round today :)

Layla Varenne |

Miya, that's a 95,000gp item. That would take up your share of any loot we come across for pretty much the foreseeable future, for an item you can literally only use once a month with some pretty problematic consequences.

Miya Setsuko Fuyaki |

Holly Molly, ok did not expect a 95k items to drop, that adds a hole other level to this.
But I think even if it was worth a Billon gold, Miya would not want to sell it. She said to use it for the greater good or destroy it.
And there is the problem for the rest of the party.
Q: Is would your PCs be happy to sell such an evil thing? Miya is not, that's why she said 'Use or destroy it'
But Even IF used for good, The moral query... Using it or selling it for coin to be sued for good, Is this not just
greed for a greater good, and could it be not, just evil in another form?
That kind of greed can be very bad for one's life, spirit, and even soul. Heading one down a very slippy road...
Miya is a pragmatist but also does not want this to fall into the wrong hands. But is she wrong? is she starting on a very dark path, the same as the group if they sell this evil item...
As the saying goes,
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions. "
:)

I love it, makes us player think what our PCs would do.
