Thanks Tarnagius, I've recorded it. That'll keep things running smoothly.

I think you guys are on the right track. Soon you guys will reach lvl 3 and will start being able to handle some new missions.

Anywho, let's roll some dice.

The Skritt Squad is earning gold: Security: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22x1=22gp
The Street Performers are gathering information: Secrecy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 dang, another fail
Recruiting supporters: spending 20gp Loyalty: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Supporters: 2d6 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (4, 5) + 2 + 3 = 14 jeebus!! That's two levels right there! Their bonuses will come into effect next week.

Now for the event phase:
Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 4 event
Event: 1d100 + 20 ⇒ (31) + 20 = 51 roll twice
Event1: 1d100 + 20 ⇒ (68) + 20 = 88 disabled team team: 1d2 ⇒ 1 Skritt Squad. You can spend 10gp (Nisha's ability) to restore the team.
Event2: 1d100 + 20 ⇒ (47) + 20 = 67 dangerous times* danger rating increased by 10. You can make a DC 20 intimidate check to half that increase, but doing so will spread word of the Silver Ravens.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 (Just in case we decide to half the negative danger mode. Heheheh!)

I feel that we should half the danger even though it will spread the word about us.

Also Kethaera will also spend 10 gp to restore the Skritt Squad.

Or we could have Vendalfek save the day. Right.

Just pointing back to our rebellion actions, Kethaera wanted to make that intimidate check to reduce the city's danger. Doing so will raise awareness of the Silver Ravens publicly (increasing notoriety). Is the rest of the group on board with that decision?

There are a few in-game events that can lower notoriety, but laying low is the easiest option. 14 isn't high though, as it goes up to 100. If you guys were at the 20-30 range, then perhaps I'd be more concerned.

Only sometimes. Occasionally during an adventure, this notoriety check is made with a d100 to figure out if the House of Thrune or the Church consider you enough of a threat to take action. These checks occur roughly once per book, but book1 doesn't even have a check at all.

Notoriety is also used in the following ways: To see if someone recognizes you, to determine a certain event during the week (notoriety + city danger), and sometimes to put a certain event into motion (not always a bad thing).

As a side note: Laying low is a safe option to reduce notoriety, but spreading disinformation reduces more at a risk.

Okay. Well we'll have to be careful as we aren't that far off from getting to 20.

Also and this is a thought here but maybe we could try and win over the Dottari. Yeah I know that might be next to impossible, but there will probably be moments where we can convince the Dottari to either continue serving a jerk like Barzillai or do their job and protect the people of Kintargo. So let's try and be respectful to them (if we can). If we can't, we can bluff and sweet talk our way through them. I did influence the entire crowd at the start of the adventure with a 33 diplomacy check! And once I get the persuasive feat from the guardian title, my diplomacy will be through the roof!

Sorry Phillip. But look on the bright side: you get to scalp Devils and any of Barzillai's inner circle. As well as monsters and undead (yeah you can scalp undead, like vampires and zombies). I don't think anyone will be upset about you scalping those baddies.

I believe so. And instead of taking scalps from CCG members you can take their armbands and draw an x over their symbol and make a belt out of it. Or a flag or something.

Or do tally marks or something instead of scalping (except for the aforementioned baddies).

Yeah this isn't good. A shame the priest couldn't give him the benefit of a doubt.

You know I thought for sure the plan was to put those two priests on patrol to sleep.

Once they find out Pylos's true religion and what group he's with we are dead in the water. Shudders. I got a bad feeling we are about to get TPK here.

Not your fault Pylos. Is there a way we could use a DM intervention to save Pylos and the Silver Ravens?

In my experience, death is just too easy of a penalty. It rarely moves the story forward, and it is rarely fun for the player. I prefer twisting failures into more story focused penalties. Now Pylos must go and pray to the very beings he's sworn to overthrow. Not all hope is lost, for if Pylos plays this intelligently, this could potentially turn to a boon. Relations with the church? They aren't dumb, though. They are organized, knowledgeable, and zealot-like in their loyalty. I don't know if this will end well or not, but it should prove most entertaining.

Well it might.

That was my first idea. My second...involves Jules dressing Kethaera like an elderly hard of hearing half elven out of work lawyer, getting a wand of charm person, disguising the wand as a cane, getting a ring of nondetection so no one knows she has a wand on her, a ring of protection of thoughts to protect our diva from mind reading, zone of truth, and similar spells, and making that priest do a male strip tease/chicken dance, thereby making him look like a foolish lunatic who will then be removed from the church permanently. Yeah that's actually going to be our last resort plan.

My actual second plan was to have Pylos beg his cousin for help.

And then another plan is for us to use spread disinformation and make it look like that Pylos was telling the truth and thus making that priest look bad for not believing in him. Asmodean clerics have little tolerance for failure and slip ups in their church, so that helps.

But while zealots, money is the root of all evil, and thus it might get Pylos off the hook if he donated some money to the priest to let him off with a warning.

I'm trying to come up with ideas here.
