Made my opening post in gameplay. Figured I may as well kick us off :)
Kethaera Nightbreeze
I hope everyone doesn't mind that I portray our new lord-mayor as a racist pig. In fact, he probably is! Not to mention I'm also assuming that the Asmodean church is the same way.
Hey, GM, I hope you put in the story where Kethaera gets to give the fat Asmodean priestess a piece of her mind not to mention a beheading! And yes the Asmodean cleric is indeed actually a fat bimbo who couldn't carry a tune to save her life!

You do you! lol
Kethaera Nightbreeze
Lol! Also I hope you didn't mind me having my character bump into yours Jules.
Also, nice introduction of your character.
BTW, y'all I might multiclass Kethaera with the fighter archetype phalanx soldier, but I'm willing to hear any suggestions or other ideas.
I sort of what to do her like a dragoon. No not the archetype we have (how dare they call it a dragoon!? Paizo!!!!! Why didn't you give the dragoon the ability to leap fifty feet into the air like the dragoons from Final Fantasy!??!?!? Sorry bigh Final Fantasy fan here! ;P ).
Anyhow, I was thinking of having her wield a polearm or maybe a glaive, but what do y'all think?
Jules Corvid
You're fine, I'll play it off my opening post and thank you. :)
I'm still unsure about any multi-classing or archetypes for the new unchained rogue so I'm likely to stay pure until i feel it out if Fox is okay with adding archtypes later.

As long as you get the archetype before it replaces something you already have it should be good. I'm thinking that a couple levels in hard would be good for Pulls, but I'm not completely sure yet. Usually not a can of multiclassing my characters, but it can lead to some interesting concepts.
Tarnagius Vashnarstill
I have no plans to multiclass or prestige. Maybe if there's enough of an arc to justify a change to good alignment maybe a couple levels of Chevalier wouldn't be too bad. Automatic DR bypass and poison immunity can be pretty awesome even with a bad charisma modifier. But that's for another time.
Jules Corvid
I think I just told her to write Les Mis... Lmao.

Yes, now that I have the crowd eating out of the palm of my hand, it's time to reveal that I'm secretly evil and declare myself the new Lord Mayor with the citizens' full support! Mwahahahaha!!
Kethaera Nightbreeze
I'm surprised that Tarnagius hasn't jumped on the soapbox yet. Wow that sounds like a messed up Barney song: jump on the soapbox! Hey kids it's the soapbox song. I can hear the stomping feet of angry lawyers heading towards me. I'll need my holy angry lawyer bane longsword +70
Sorry I was trying to do a joke I once heard about how someone described the lower planes: the abyss is like a dorm for juvenile delinquents filled with endless binge drinking, nude frat parties of debaunchy, wild toga parties, and evil mischief making; the nine Hells are filled with evil angry lawyers carrying pitchforks and law books.
That's as much of the joke I can remember.
;P
Kethaera Nightbreeze
Makes sense. I'm just glad our gm hasn't accidentally given us 10,000 gp worth of art objects, gems, jewelry, coins, etc on our first before we get to level 2!
Which um...I did actually when I ran my first pathfinder campaign...
DM Hell's Fox
There is a surprising amount of loot in this adventure, but not quite that much lol.
My first pathfinder campaign resulted in a total party kill in session 1. It was a very dark day
Kethaera Nightbreeze
Running my first d&d campaign I let one person play a gargoyle Druid and another person play a half-goblin paladin of Ilmater. I also think by the time we ended the adventure we had 15 people playing. XP it was pbp.
Speaking of TPks I do anything in my power to prevent even if it means that i have to have the red dragon get hit by a meteorite or the vampire gets eaten by gelatinous cube (which actually did happen btw).
DM Hell's Fox
Oh my god. That is amazing. Both of them.

My last home campaign was mythic. My character turned on the others and ended up killing the other two players.
Twice.
In the same battle.
The GM kept pulling ways to keep them alive. I was a tiefling Vanguard (Rogue Genius class)/Archmage. It was a good day.
For me.
Jules Corvid
GM: Would it be possible to use acrobatics to navigate the crowd faster ?
Kethaera Nightbreeze
Just to let everyone know it should be tear not fear. Sorry about that. Stupid iPhone autocorrect.
DM Hell's Fox
Hi guys, sorry for the longer wait time. I'm sick at the moment, but I promise that you have not been forgotten. Things should pick up pretty quickly.
Kethaera Nightbreeze
Sorry for not posting yet. Been busy with work today.
I'll try and post as quickly as possible.
Jules Corvid
Holding my post for after Fox resolves the bad guys.
DM Hell's Fox
Sorry about that, guys. I've had one heck of a day.
Kethaera Nightbreeze
Take your time! No need to rush! Hope your day gets better!
Jules Corvid
No problem! I was just noting here to keep activity up!
DM Hell's Fox
Thanks guys. It's been a good day, just filled with unexpected things along the way.
DM Hell's Fox
He will in just a moment =P
Jules Corvid
Tarnagius, I think you forgot to double your strength on the crit :)
DM Hell's Fox
Still waiting on Pylos. I'm headed for bed, new post after I've woken up and had more coffee.

Sorry, will have my action posted when I go to lunch. Is this my normal turn for the round? Or an AoO? I think I got lost somewhere lol
DM Hell's Fox
It's a normal turn. Here's a little help:
- Only brute2 remains
- Tarnagius is next to you
- Lirandra is behind you
- Kethaera is about 10ft. behind and to your right.
Jules Corvid
Heads up, today and tomorrow I wont be able to post much. Back to back bachelor parties! Hopefully I live to see sunday and am concious enough to post lol
DM Hell's Fox
Have fun and be safe!
Jules Corvid
Can make saves. Can't hit to save my life lol.

I have a feeling that this will be my shortest-lived character ever made. If I die, would you prefer me to roll a new character or let someone else join in?
DM Hell's Fox
I'll spoil a little thing for you: Unless someone does something unbelievably stupid, no one is going to die. I have a personal rule that I will not kill a character until level 4. At level 4, all the gloves come off and the dice roll as they may.
If we end up in a situation where a character truly does die, there are possibilities for resurrection, and if that fails, I'll ask that player to roll up a new character.
So don't you fret too much, I'm on your side =P
Kethaera Nightbreeze
Are we supposed to lose? I'm getting a feeling that's the case.
Pylos Thrune
|
That's actually a nice change of pace. My old home GM believed in actively trying to kill us. Granted, we always started out at level 5, but still.
DM Hell's Fox
1 person marked this as a favorite.
Well according to my CR calculator, you guys are dealing with enemies worth a CR 4 encounter. Although that's definitely skewed due to arriving at different times.
DM Hell's Fox
Oh and Pylos, that rule applies to our RotR game as well.
DM Hell's Fox
I'm botting in 6 hours.
Kethaera Nightbreeze
I'll try and post something later tonight. Busy with work. Also I'm not sure if we are meant to be captured or not. It feels like we are supposed to be captured. So I've been greatly confused.
