Ali engulfed, 2nd round.

digesting: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
plus acid: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9

Engulf (Ex):

If a giant flytrap begins its turn with an opponent at least two size categories smaller than itself grappled in one of its mouths, it can close its jaws completely around the foe by making a new combat maneuver check (as though attempting to pin the foe). If it succeeds, it engulfs the prey and inflicts 1d8+9 points of damage and 2d6 acid damage as the cavity floods with digestive enzymes. The seal formed is airtight, so an engulfed creature risks suffocation.

Engulf is a special form of pinning, and an engulfed creature can escape in the same way as he can from being pinned, but since an engulfed creature is contained wholly inside the plant's jaws, the flytrap's victim cannot be targeted by effects or attacks that require line of sight or line of effect. A giant flytrap that is grappling or pinning a foe cannot attack other targets with that bite, but is not otherwise hindered.

    Davosh:
Sure, with Davosh's Kn (nature) rolls he knows the following:

All are plants and have plant traits.

Assassin vines have blindsight, are immune to electricity while resistant to cold and fire, and can cause nearby plants to animate and grasp at foes.

A basidirond is immune to cold damage, though a successful cold effect causes it to become slowed for a short time. Also, its slam attack coats the unfortunate victim in spores.

Shambling mounds take no damage from electricity, but any electricity attack used against them increases their fortitude and gives them temporary hit points.

Kappi leads the intrepid party toward the row of fenced enclosures along the path. The first is filled with what appear to be a collection of overgrown weeds, swaying back and forth in what would be a breeze...were there any breeze present here.

Suddenly the intense odor of rotting tomatoes and potatoes offends the young Varisian's nose, and he can see a semblance of movement coming from the second enclosure. It is nearly a nine-foot tall mass of rotting vegetation and brown-green vines, some eight foot wide, very difficult to pick out of the growth...but it is indeed there. It does not appear to have noticed the rogue.

The Varisian lad points out the overgrown swaying weeds in the fenced in spot. He also points out there are NO winds to be swaying the weeds.
He whispers to Davosh and Ali Can either of you call down Ancestor Fire or something into those overgrown weeds? Clearly something needs killing...

Kappi controls a shriek of horror as the horrible black tentacles of horror close around the chamois mounds. The lad then gives his attention to the small fenced area with the enemy hidden in the swaying weeds.

Kappi's alchemsit's fire hits, but to his horror it doesn't seem to have any effect on the damp mass of vines!

Ali reaches to her belt, and touches the Quickening rod, using the last of its power for the day to cast Haste, hastened-like. Then, she casts another spell, and her form shimmers and blurs for a moment, but it's hard to tell exactly what happened--until she speaks and her voice comes from about 2' from her apparent position.

    Round 1 Kappi runs away

Seeing the massive plant mound monster somehow shamble out of the Black Tentacles of Doom is horrifying to the lad. He immediately thinks to flee. He does heft his favorite ax in hand to throw if he can...

Not sure on rules, Would like to throw an ax and run away. Will also post an acrobatics roll to make sure he doesn't give an AoO to the ShamblingMound.

    Throwing attack 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 14 - 2 = 19
    +1 ax 1d6 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 4 = 10

    And acrobatics if needed 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 18 = 20

The lad runs back toward Raging Vojtek.

    Ali displaces herself!

Using a ranged weapon while in melee range provokes, and Kappi is clearly trying to avoid that. So I'll say the Acro check goes first, using the first roll, so the 25 successfully exceeds the shambling mound's CMB.

That means the 2 is the attack roll, which will unfortunately miss. But Kappi gets his tomahawk back (yay, blinkback belt!)

Kappi scampers away, but his flying axe sails well wide of the plant creature!
