Huzzah! That makes up for you using the Dragon Disciple as your example!
I'll add Mass Daze and Swarm of Fangs.
"Tis a good kitteh! I'm glad you've found peace in this world. Go and visit the Cat Lord."
Kappi Matarito
Kappi smiles at the strange moment. Not so long ago something like seeing the shade of a dead cat and speaking with it would have been the weirdest thing he'd ever seen. But lately, not so much...
The party pauses a moment for Edward to heal everyone with his magic boots (or whatever, Kappi still didn't quite understand how it worked).
While Ali stands guard, the others search for the stump monster's hidden treasure hoard.

My troll-fu is strong. ;-)
It seems the beast's treasure hoard was solely what was offered to Davosh.

It's the weirdest thing TODAY, but it's barely past breakfast, so who knows, it might not make the top 3 by dinner

Once the party is completely healed and Vojtek recovers from his fatigue, they keep exploring.
Kappi goes a little ahead of group to scout.

A tangled mass of overflowing weeds and thorny brambles grows in profusion here. A scattering of bleached bones lies entwined in the barbed tendrils of the wiry thicket.
(It is located right at the bend on the map, though it's not visible to anyone but Kappi right now.)
Kappi Matarito
The rogue quickly slinks back to his comrades and informs them of another DAMN plant monster. The lad searches the bag of holding for an Agent Orange bomb in vain...
Kappi is ready to use his Vanish trick and sneak attack the monster. If everyone wants to go forward and attack.
Or we can head back to some of the other doors or paths.
GM thunderspirit
Yes, let's call it a pause until next week.
GM thunderspirit
Kappi reports the presence of another man-eating plant and seeks consensus on what the party should do next.

"I'm all for taking another one out. Especially if WE have the drop on IT." Liska nods.

"I'm all for taking another one out. Especially if WE have the drop on IT." Liska nods.
Kappi does like that idea. He smiles and thinks about using his Vanish trick to land a vicious cut on the creature.

Well if it's a man-eating plant, perhaps I should take it on myself. Ali grins and glances sideways at the wiry barbarian ...unless Vojtek wants to join me.

For just a moment the lad gives the elf an odd look. Clearly the joke passed right over him. But after half a second he gave it no more thought. Quite often Ali or especially Davosh would say things the lad could make no sense of.
Can we get a plan together? Kappi can use his stealth and Vanish trick to land the first blow and hopefully start on the far side of it. To setup an easy flank for Vojtek or Ali.
Davosh the Wanderer
"I can open with a bolt of lightning Kappi, right after you hit it of course. I'll also give you some magical Aid first. Ali should be holding a spell ready, and Vojtek can charge forth."

"Sounds like a giant flytrap. Not sure if you've seen the normal ones. They're weird. They need to eat insects do to the poor nitrogen content in the soil. Really they're a very niche organism. Fascinating stuff. Fascinating. You'll be fine."
Liska yips, "Oh yeah, they can engulf you and dissolve your flesh if you get to close."
Alright team, no mental effects, wouldn't try to debuff. We go in hot.

The Varisian lad listens to OjosLocos words. With nervous energy he bounces lightly on the balls of his feet and shakes his wrists/hands out. He looks to the others to make sure everyone is ready.

Davosh first grants the Aid of the Ancestors to Kappi: HP: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13. Kappi gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and saves against fear effects, and 13 HP for the next 9 minutes.
Davosh will levitate once close and pull out some fur and a glass rod.

Davosh will levitate up so that he can safely target the plant and ONLY the plant. He'll hurl a lightning bolt as soon as Kappi stabs it.

MONTAGE!!
Ed limbers up his bow, and with a near silent whisper and clasp on the shoulder he imbues each person with the guidance of Apsu, saving Vojtek for last.
Ed knows the dragon tongue gets Vojteks blood boiling so he speaks it. Northman, I feel the blood pulsing though you getting warmer and warmer. This enemy can swallow you whole, so challenge it, but be mindful of Davosh above. I want you to first challenge it to distract it from Kappi, then you can loosen your weapon, and remove this creature from our borrowed hut.
Everyone has guidance for their first d20 roll

Go ahead and place yourselves on the map then, where you wanna be when initiative is rolled, and we'll get this man-eating plant party started.

Ed decides to call the plant Bruno while taking a small step forward. Bruno they are not your dinner. Put them down now.

He then launches 2 arrows at Bruno the plant.
