Voin_AFOL- One step ahead of you! I have already made several conversions of NPCs, along with notes for upgrading encounters for a gestalt campaign.

Well yeah, every GM is gonna have something kitbashed for their own table, I meant as a larger-scope, community-based, thing, if Paizo would be cool with something like that. Like some eratta updates or something.

GM Kingslayer wrote:
1. No, do not assume 1-17. Assume 1-20+, as I am planning on using the 'continuing the campaign' material for those still interested in playing. As you have the main books, you can get an idea of what is coming, even if you are going to be completely in the dark as to how I execute some of that juicy plot continuation.

Ah, the juicy beyond stuff, huh? :D

GM Kingslayer wrote:
2. In regards to violence/gore, I was planning on a GoT threshold for it as well. No need to make it a Mortal Kombat splatterhouse, but no need to make it squeaky Disney-clean either.

I can get behind that moderate approach.

GM Kingslayer wrote:

3. I am perfectly fine with handling sex in spoilers. I mean come on, there are several obvious paramours in the AP, plus the option to build BROTHELS!

4. Humor is already set in place to provide occasional levity. Certain types of creatures in the Stolen Lands are quite exceptional at that! *HINT, HINT*

5. MY level of experience?
I've gamed since the halcyon days of Dungeons and Dragons, in the days of AD&D when alternate settings blossomed and people weren't afraid to use them.
I remember the days of Castle Ravenloft being the penultimate adventure for my Ravenloft players, the arguments that were made over 2.0, the unjustifiable rage over 3.X, the abomination that was 4.0, and such.
I've played since my middle school days, something that should tell you something since I'm 30-ish.
I've actually done several homebrew campaigns, one of which I'm working on getting published now, as well as having designed TWO APs, both of which are also in the works for getting published as well, something a few of my designer friends have been...

Excellent!

Another question before I get back to writing my character: will we be using the material from Ultimate War, Ultimate battle, &/or Ultimate Rulership?

Also, will we be using any of the "Unchained" rules options? Several of them looked quite good, albeit some are mutually incompatible.

Will we be using Hero Points?

Well since this is still open I will rejoin the hunt. Let me know if there are any questions.

Two days till end of recruitment?

Well I guess I might as well leave my late entry here then.

Erana Vasanti
A White-haired Witch/Brawler that may seem to be serene like a monk, until her temper flares again.

Why yes, her hair is literally her main weapon, while magic falls to a support role. It gives up those oh so lovely Hexes, but this setting is the first where the build can fall into place.

Appreciate the clarification, what I'm ok with is far more than I feel OK reading at work. Assuming that I'm accepted, that is fine by me, and as long as that's the way it stays, I can continue to read posts at work. If a page becomes questionable, I'll have to stop reading at work for a bit. Technically, I should be skipping that anyway.

Last minute character submission! Saving the best for last and all that :)

Background:

Oeren never knew his parents. He was raised by a master duelist who found him abandoned as an infant.
He trained to follow in his adopted father's footsteps when he was young, but as he got older, he realized his true passion was for magic rather than swordplay.
He hired out his skill with the sword for the town guard for a time, and then as an adventurer for hire - but only until he put enough money together to be able to afford a wizards apprenticeship.
This is the first time he has been hired as a wizard rather than a generic swordhand...

Personality:
"The end justifies the means" could be his mantra.
He really does seem to have the greater good in his heart, but his methods are often absolutely abhorrent to more "heroic" people.
He has no problem using dark powers in the name of fighting a greater evil.
He has been branded a vigilante many times.
And he obviously doesn’t care what others think about him.
He is always looking out for ways to improve his own power level, so that he may make a greater difference in the future.

Sorry, work, then internet failure this week, new modem on order, later this week. Using emergency hot spot to connect enough to do e-mail post apology.

Still interested, just can't post much right now.

As for beyond stuff, are you thinking of using it past the end of the campaign, or finishing the campaign with the last book, and inserting some of the material in between to bring us to 20 and beyond, or are you planning on taking it past the standard AP endpoint? Either is fine with me, I'm just curious. As I've stated, I'm running Kingmaker and have therefore read all the books, although I've never read any of the Kingslayer material, so that should be interesting. I'm just trying to gauge how different the tables will run, because if they're looking pretty similar I might change up some aspects at my own table.

Either way, will be getting my background up for review as soon as possible. I've re-flavored the Pioneer trait a bit, having it explain his having traveled from Galt into Brevoy rather than living on the outskirts of civilization.

He's stated that this will be easily 1-20 and he heavily modified the AP.

Huh. I'd best get that backstory done all the way.

alright backstory done and all gear purchased and ready to go. Thanks for your consideration either way.

This is Amir, a Swashbuckler|Solar Oracle.

He's missing a complete inventory, but otherwise everything is either there directly, or linked within the Alias.

It's gestalt though - you can deal with redundancy, and more casting in the party is always nice.

things will get interesting in a party of full casters. :P

I sure hope not for all the non-casters out there. Me included.

What, you don't think we should keep the casting in the party? :.(

Well uh no its just that well it seemed like maybe there were talking about....well...you know..."alternate casting rules"....if you catch my drift.

I mean I don't wanna judge or anything its just...well...some of *those* types of "somatic" components are...well....just not what I'm used to is all.

I'm used to plain old vanilla gestures and what not...that's all.

I haven't abandoned the group, just writing furiously to make it by the deadline. I know what I want my character to be like, it's just a matter of getting the words from my head to my hands and from my hands to the keyboard (dang carpal tunnel).

Well with Witches there is the one-day limit on Hex targets on some of the abilities unless someone casts Hex Vulnerability. Though there are only three part-Witch Entries, my own included.

Part of the reason why Erana Vasanti doesn't have Hexes. The main reason being I really wanted to make use of a build that could use the White-haired Witch archetype.

I'm trying to figure out what classes are low/not used in the pool. No Alchemist, Barbarian, Hunter, Investigator, Brawler (One my own), Paladin (One), Hmmm...

Druid also seems to be surprisingly low, given Kingmaker's setting. I think I'm the only one applying with one.

I think you've still got until tomorrow. GM Kingslayer posted yesterday saying the deadline was in two days. So not much time left but some.

at least if he closes on exactly the same time he last posted.

Vladislava “Duskdream” Ognerodinoya - Witch/Savant (Int-Based).

(Link goes to Character sheet on Myth-Weavers. Scroll to the bottom of the linked page for Description, Background, Personality, and all that. I'll do the fiddlier bits like equipment if I'm selected for the game.)

Sorry, not sure how to set up aliases (looked on my account/profile page, didn't see a link), and don't really have time to figure it out the day of the deadline, especially since I already know how to use the Myth-Weavers interface. If you want me to copy-paste the stuff to a different format later, I can do that.

@Voin_AFOL
To setup an Alias, click "My Account" at the top, sign in, and scroll down underneath the "Message Board Settings" box to "Message Board Aliases" and click "Create New Alias". From there, give the alias a name and an avatar.

After giving the name and avatar, from the "My Account" go back to "Message Board Aliases" and click on the Name of the Alias, not the "Edit" button. From there, click on the Profile tab and then "Edit my Profile".

There, you can enter the information. I don't know for others, but there is a time limit to enter details, so keep a copy in a Notepad of what you are trying to enter in the Profile's About box, or save changes constantly.

@JonGarrett
Missed the Druid one, and on that note that Druid Monk looks like a beast. (Pun intended).

WOLead wrote:

Well, the witch class is quite awesome. Full of fitting folkloric flavor (unlike the the theme-vague Oracle), a full caster with a diverse spell-list, and the hexes mean that unlike the 2-pump-chump Wizard, the witch doesn't become useless when spells run out.

WOLead wrote:

Well, Investigator would probably do better in a more... urban-set AP. Hunter would fit well. Druid is an obvious choice, but maybe too obvious.

Thanks, I'll take a look at it. In the meantime, can everyone see the linked page with the character sheet and backstory and whatnot alright?

Surprised there is no wizard clerics. With the point buy here it would be feasible. And can you imagine all those spells? Daunting but powerful.

Even if I don't get selected, this was definitely one of the most fun (and provocative) character concepts I've come up with for a while, and one that would definitely be worth recycling to another game.

Vladislava Ognerodinoya, on Satyrs...
"They have horns and a tail, I have horns and a tail, and "polite" society has "politely" told the both of us to sod off. Is it any wonder we get along as naturally well as we do?"

So, Amir is pretty much finished! There are things I'd like to add more to -there's a lot of backstory I'd like to add, and it would be great if I could add his appearance, but for now this is it.

Looking through some of the applications, there's some really great stuff -odds are I'll be watching this campaign closely even if I don't get picked, just to see what people do with their characters.

At this point I'm just waiting to see what comes of it all, and if all 32 of those people are still interested in the campaign even. I know turnover is high on the internet. I never apped expecting to get in (I was like, the 20-somthing-th applicant), but I'm still kinda hopeful; I've gotten attached to my character already!

Here's to hoping I'm in time.

Iavas Gwilwileth, priestess of Desna and former freedom-fighter.

Surasshu's rage can be smelled on the positive energy plane...

I remember being surprised on page 2, with how few submissions there were. I'm less surprised now! I do not envy the decision, and look forward to seeing how things play out.

Yeah, this is probably the biggest train of hopeful applicants for a game I've seen in a while!

Sorry to be nitpicky, but you've got Gall under pure caster classes when he should be pure physical. Sadly, Fighter/Barbarian doesn't really get any casting ability. xD

Either way, this is going to be a cutthroat competition for a place in the campaign, looks like! Best of luck to all of you guys.

I'm not surprised so many are interested. Gestalt is always popular. Add in a willingness to entertain 3PP material, and you've got a game that allows characters that can't be played anywhere else. I know that is what peaked my excitement.
