-=Languages=- Common, Elven, Celestial ---===Special Abilities===---:
-------------------------------=SPECIAL/CLASS ABILITIES=------------------------------- Sneak Attack The rogue's attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every 2 rogue levels thereafter. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet. This additional damage is precision damage and is not multiplied on a critical hit. The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with total concealment. Hidden Blade A knife master adds 1/2 her level on Sleight of Hand checks made to conceal a light blade. Sneak Stab (Ex) A knife master focuses her ability to deal sneak attack damage with daggers and similar weapons to such a degree that she can deal more sneak attack damage with those weapons at the expense of sneak attacks with other weapons. When she makes a sneak attack with a dagger, kerambit, kukri, punching daggers, starknife, or swordbreaker dagger, she uses d8s to roll sneak attack damage instead of d6s. For sneak attacks with all other weapons, she uses d4s instead of d6s. This ability is identical in all other ways to sneak attack, and supplements that ability. Domains: Travel, Freedom Channel Positive: 1d6 Granted Powers: You are an explorer and find enlightenment in the simple joy of travel, be it by foot or conveyance or magic. Increase your base speed by 10 feet. Agile Feet (Su): As a free action, you can gain increased mobility for 1 round. For the next round, you ignore all difficult terrain and do not take any penalties for moving through it. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. Liberty’s Blessing (Sp): You touch a willing creature as a standard action, granting it a boon. A creature with this boon can, as a swift action, make a saving throw against a single spell or effect it is suffering from that grants a save. The DC of the saving throw is equal to the original DC of the spell or effect. If the saving throw is successful, the effect ends. This boon lasts for 1 minute or until successfully used to remove a spell or effect, whichever duration is shorter. You can use this ability for a number of times equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. Caravan Bond (Su): At 1st level, by leading a group prayer for 1 minute, a Varisian pilgrim can select a number of traveling companions equal to her cleric level + her Wisdom bonus. She may use her domain-granted powers on any of these traveling companions as if they were her. She can use these abilities on her traveling companions at a range of up to 30 feet, even if the ability normally requires her touch.

---===Background===---:
Iavas was born to her parents at a late age, in the south of Brevoy. Her parents were delighted to finally get a child, and raised her with love. Her earliest childhood they lived in Brevoy. She spent most of her time outside, playing with their neigbour's daughter Miril. When Iavas' parents thought she was old enough, they decided to get on the road like all good Desnans and took her to their travels around Golarion. They teached her in all kinds of trades, and the girl picked up more from other travelers. The nomadic life guided her to Desna's arms, who saw promise in the child, and blessed her with her favor. Iavas learned the ways of Desna from the goddesses traveling priests and priestesses. They also trained her from the use of Desna's favored weapon, the starknife, from an early age. Most of her childhood was spent traveling around the world. From Osirion, where they met Khemet I during the revolution, to north, seeing the brave take the challenge of defeating a linnorm to become king, to east, learning the spiritual life of Vudra and the far east Tian people. The traveling life required her to learn a variety of skills, not mastering but knowing the basics of most aspects of life. Later, reaching adulthood, her aging parents couldn't take care of Iavas anymore, and her parents returned to their home in Brevoy, while Iavas left for her travels of her own. Her earliest time alone was spent with a nomad tribe of the north. From teachings of her parents, and priests of Desna, she helped the tribe as a healer and midwife. She spent quite a long time with the tribe, as their nomadic life went well with her wanderlust. As the children she had helped to the world grew to adulthood, she was allowed to take part in the traditional coming-of-age rituals, and was thus accepted as a full member of the tribe. One of the boys she watched grow, named Garad, decided to go see the world, and Iavas joined him, both as a guide and a companion. They traveled to Varisia, and joined a carneval traveling around the western lands. Iavas usually just helped around in everyday work, but as all were expected to be part of the shows, she decided to study dancing. She gained quite imressive technical skill but her presentation was mostly just good, not outstanding. Nevertheless, she enjoyed her time, and stayed with the carneval until her northern friend decided it was time for him to return home and start a family. They parted ways, and this time Iavas headed east. Her travels took her to Galt, where she witnessed the negative part of chaos. Symphatetic to the cause of oppressed people, she tried to aid the revolution. Her efforts were in vain, as the lack of government made any permanent progress nearly impossible. Although worshipping the goddess of freedom, she decided that complete freedom leads to suffering. From Galt, she traveled to Cheliax. Her open worship of Desna wasn't received well, and she had to hide, among the underground societies. She learned the ways of stealth and cunning from her associates, and became certain that a middleground between oppression and anarchy is the way of a kingdom.
---===Background requested bits===---:
Enemy: Terenzio Piraino is a wealthy Cheliaxian slave owner, who Iavas met on her time in the resistance against house Thrune. Cruel even in Cheliax standards, on a failed slave rebellion Iavas witnessed him being the loudest voice demanding the heaviest punishments available. The executions of slaves wasn't enough for him, he wanted to do it in the most painful way possible. Cheliax being crowded, he got interested in the free lands in the north, and decided to make a fortune with a slave-labor colony, mostly by gathering natural resources to be sold in Cheliax. Friend: Iavas has spent most of her life traveling around Golarion. She likes people and is friendly toward anyone she meets on her travels, but everyone coming and going the friendships are not that tight. She probably knows every Desnan priest above the rank of novice. The only stable place in her life is her birth home at Rostland, where her venerable parents, father Rhiw and mother Ethuil, are now living and she visits regularly. Their neighbors, living some miles away in the sparsely populated lands, kept their house in shape when Iavas' family still went together on travels. Now the neighbors have moved to Kyonin, but Iavas' childhood friend Meril is now living there and helping Iavas' parents on daily living. Friend: Garad is still alive, but about 70 years old and quite happily living as a grandfather in his tribe. Iavas meets him whenever traveling through northern lands, but even with her persuasion he hasn't thus far wanted to join her again. Lately, he's been feeling that his time in this world is coming to its end, and he might take another trip, just for old times sake. Noble: Baron Volkovich met Iavas when she joined his travel group on a journey from Brevoy to Varisia. The baron wasn't too impressed at first as the elven woman didn't state or show any definite area of expertise. His view slowly started to change as it was clear she had her hands on about everything happening on the caravan, and she performed all the tasks with high skill. Not outstanding in any task, but very good in about everything. His attitude changed from acceptance to sheer admiration when he noticed they were going to be late and had to leave rest of the caravan behind to make it in time. The slender woman, acting as a guide, kept pace on foot as the baron was riding his horse. On their last day, when their destination was at the horizon, Iavas told she'd go ahead to make sure preparations for the barons arrival were in order. The baron chuckled a bit, but when she said a quick prayer to Desna and ran ahead, soon leaving the baron on his galloping horse behind, he knew this woman was of extraordinary talent. Noble's letter: With great pleasure, I recommend this accomplished elven lady, Iavas Gwilwileth of Rostland, also known as Autumn Butterfly, for any and all tasks, journeys and commissions that carry a need for a variety of skills or that carry any risk of the unexpected. For in our time and travels together, I have witnessed her ability to find ways to furthen the mission at hand, whatever the situation has been. Do not be alarmed as I am not presenting a single area where her expertise would shine, as it is that she shines in all of them. We of the younger races cannot realize how wide knowledge the elves can have. I have not met any condition she wouldn't have had a solution for. On our travels she was introduced as a guide and scout, but recommending her for only these duties wouldn't do her justice. On any task, anywhere, she will be a valuable addition to any team. Sincerely, Baron Ivan Volkovich Character goals: Iavas wants to help people, and make the society grow on the principles of good gods. Mostly she prefers the same ones her god does, Shelyn, Sarenrae and Cayden Cailean. She also understands that not everyone can be a traveler, and thus accepts followers of Erastil warmly. She is worried by the conditions in the Riverlands, and has thought that people there should be united, not through laws, but through common way of helping others, and getting to know each other by traveling. Player goals: I'm interested in developing the characters and the kingdom through interaction. I would like to take part in many different parts of the story, not necessarily being the focus character, but helping everyone to get their goals. I'm interested in this because it would help me get a better understanding of the kingdom we're building as whole. If I would concentrate on one aspect, I'd know that well, but less of the others. A bit of everything sounds better.
---===Appearance and Personality===---:
Eyes:Green Hair:Reddish Skin:Fair, tanned Height:5 ft 11 in Weight:110 lb Iavas is average, for an elf woman. Tall, slender, red-haired woman who clearly has spent time outdoors. She is polite and kind, usually taking part in conversations by using experience from her long travels to find wisdom. She has seen a lot of the bad sides of the world, and it shows in that she has a kind of sadness in her, but with a hope for a better future. She is sensible, perhaps even overly so, and her greatest delight is seeing others enjoy themselves. She loves open air as all elves, and open road as all worshipers of Desna. She is delighted if she can help people with her skills, but doesn't stay long in one place. She is happiest when she can make the world a better place by nudging a bit here, a bit there. Iavas practises meditation and herbal healing. She holds mediatational tea moments for her companions to join their souls under Desna's protection. Dramatic experiences:
Quirks:
---===Justification for traits etc.===---:
Warrior of the Old: One of the skills all travelers have, is the ability to defend themselves. For downtime, it's easy to find trainers for combat. For worshipers of Desna, it's with starknives. Fate's Favored: A child with great potential, who comes to arms of the goddess of luck, will be blessed by her. Or she might be her usual fickle self and forget the child. But for now, Iavas is in Desna's favor and the goddess is awake. Wanderlust: Iavas has traveled her whole life. She could have stayed put after her parents got old, but she had to continue. Overprotective: Iavas wants to help her friends, and everyone she's met is her friend. If there is someone in need, she'll go to help. Breadth of Experience: When traveling, you learn a bit of this, a bit of that. Take 170 of traveling and it's a lot of this, a lot of that. Two-weapon combat: The combat training of Warrior of the Old, combined with Desna's starknives, it's a natural choice as starknives suit well to two-weapon combat. Tribal Scars: She joined a northern tribe for a while, and was accepted as a full member after completing the coming-of-age ritual at the young age of 130. The nomadic raptor totem tribe felt familiar to a priestess with travel domain. Skills: Most of the skills are from the freedom-fighter times. She does not have bluff or disguise, she did mainly sneaking and observing, this is a conscious choice. She wants to be herself and speak the truth. The truth shall get them free. The baron: The letter concentrates on the amount of skills Iavas has. She doesn't have very high bonus in anything, +9 is highest, her combat and spells are not that impressive. The amount of skills is more than many higher-level characters have, so that is what someone would notice.
---===Optimization===---:
Iavas is not an optimized character. The damage might get high, but by joining with some high-per-attack bonus class, say inquisitor/paladin/ranger, it would have been easily more. Also, the lack of full-bab d10+ class hurts. For example, with divine power at level 10, attacks are 1(base)+1(two-weapon)+1(divine power)+1(iterative)+1(improved two-weapon)=5. Assume sneak, dex 26, +2 weapons. 1d4+5d8+8(dex)+2(enchant)+3(divine power)+1(fate's favored)=39 per main hand attack, 35 offhand. 187 total damage if all hit. Single-class archer inquisitor or two-barrel musket master can beat that. Without sneak, it's 16,5 per mainhand, 12,5 offhand for 74,5 if all hit. She's probably going evangelist on rogue side at level 6. Her initiative will be high, counting only current feats, 26 dex & evangelist it is 8(dex)+2(race)+2(trait)+1(evangelist)+1(fate's favored)=+14 without improved initiative or ioun stone. Still easy to get even more. Rogues need high to position and sneak attack. We'll see how it will go.
