Have you seen that spell component pouch though? Totally worth the five gold, let me tell you.

Considering what they put in potions in the olden days, I'm not surprised this came up.

The last time I setup a caster, the spell component pouch had a hole in the side of it from the start. So it was tied around the waist, and stuffed with the most important spell components for a sorcerer. Very comfortable, and silk lined was worth the five gold.

...Oh god, its contagious.

*cackles madly*

It worked! My magical innuendo curse has finally worked!

*cough cough*

Uhm I mean yes...

On a separate note the absence of the GM for a couple of days from the Paizo boards entirely is .... noticed? Hopefully not indicative of anything...

He probably just has trouble choosing. I know I would have.

damn it you made me put on my snooping glasses and you're right, he made several posts across his aliases on monday saying he would continue as normal and then ceased after that. troubling.

Mhmm he has other games that he was running. Dunno, just an observation is all.

yes all the games he was running stopped on monday.

Maybe he's still helping out his friend, that's not something I would have imagined getting settled quickly.
(Or maybe he has orchestrated an intricate ruse to create even more tension, involving PMs with all his other games. This is most definitely it.)

well, while i was snooping around one of his posts said he had found an actual lawyer for his friend...

I feel too stalkery

I know looking around at that stuff feels a little odd, no? Sometimes its helpful for context though. Guess we will see what happens though...

I know what you mean though. It's like when I come up on a thread that has a whole bunch of posts that I haven't read, and I'm just looking for 1 specific piece of info. Do I go back and actually look for that needle in a haystack of otherwise irrelevant material, or do I post a question (and risk sounding like "that guy" who didn't read the stuff that came before) asking about that specific piece of info? I know about typing in search boxes and stuff, but sometimes there are questions where the computer algorithms can't understand the phrasing.

Yeah, I get that one. Sometimes the only good ways to search are on phrases that aren't a 100%, so you miss it even with searches, or it's something that shows up 30 times a page.

Wow, tons of posts.

Good luck to all.

I'm in his WotW game, mentioned he'd be back on Monday, after finishing up with his friend. I'm imagining it may have taken more time than he expected, as the new lawyer probably wanted details on everything he'd done so far, etc.

He disappeared for a bit previously, but he did show back up. I'm guessing its just taking longer than he expected.

Ahti is done, but for story reasons I've kept her sheet hidden, giving or wonderful GM a link to it. >.>

I married an Attorney, so I understand, am glad you DID actually find one to help, and I hope things are going well. As a non lawyer, I can sometimes understand what's going on, but others, no idea, and that it's usually best to seek an expert in your budget range. Yes, they do exist, but are harder to find.

Is it too late to make an awakened raccoon gunslinger with a sapling treant companion? ;P

I am ashamed at how long that took me to get.

If you can hire vin diesel to make audio tapes to go along with the stories for the GM To upload you might have a very strong case.

hope he and his friend are doing alright.

So, are the bards among us planning to...

(•_•) / ( •_•)>⌐■-■ / (⌐■_■)

...build this kingdom on rock & roll?

I'm pretty sure that if I'm allowed into this group I can be convinced to be part of an adventuring guild known as "Jefferson Starship" :p

So I sincerely hope that the game gets going but I am going to formally withdraw. My own recruitment thread is getting a lot of attention all of a sudden and I don't want to spread myself too thin. Good luck folks and I hope Archlichey! returns soon.

So I'd like to think about throwing something in the ring over here, but I'll keep a lookout to see what's up. Don't want to stress the GM out more than necessary. Provided that's what's going on.

Has anyone heard from the DM privately? Is this still a going concern?

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

nope all his activity ceased on monday.

he made 3 posts around 4:30 AM pacific coast time on monday and then hasn't posted since on a single alias.

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

maybe his schedule would be more forgiving on the weekend?

Clearly, our GM has been eaten by a Grue. Alas, another name for the Kingmaker Obituaries...

Don't blame this one on me, I didn't get to him in time before he turned on the lights.

I think that zombified T-Rex got to him instead.

If our DM doesn't return, would anyone be interested if I took up the reins? It's been less than a week, so obviously not immediately, but I like what I've seen of many of the characters.

Imagine a kingmaker with all of us...

If he doesn't return, you taking up the reins would be fine. I have a feeling he'll return--I suppose more of a hope, really--seeing as he's already running two games here on the forums. If he shows back up then there isn't any need for it, but if not I'd play with you as the GM.

If the rules are... bent ever-so-slightly, we could gather up 15-16 people for a single kingdom (not including Vassals or Heirs). I mean -Nethys knows what that'll do to the CR, but it would be fun to watch.

Now we just need two of them and we'll be set!

Oddly, this is the second gestalt in the last 4 months to get a huge response, and then the GM vanished. It's probably just a coincidence, but it's still odd. I do hope the GM returns. I'm honestly fine with anyone who's willing to entertain Shi. He's a fun character to play, but odd enough to be hard to get into games.

I'm still hanging out over here waiting before I throw in. I have noticed that gestalt is extremely popular too.

I mean, at least this time he's only... partially vanished? He's popped in a few times, and seems to be intending on running these games, but then we don't hear from him for a while...

Oh well, hopefully we won't need to try and find ANOTHER GM for our Way of the Wicked game.

there'd be enough of us for each of the groups and then some.

And then it hit me: Nethys is a gestalt.

But yeah, if our original GM vanishes for too long, I wouldn't mind someone else taking up the reins.

"A huge crowd of adventurers gathers in response to the charter."

"Alright, you lot, fight to the death till you thin out your numbers. We'll see who's ruthless enough to rule."

^^^
I like the sound of that!

Whoever gets the highest initiative is likely to win that race.

Init: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Very dead I think.

My 2 copper on it is, that in optimal circumstances, our GM comes back, starts up 2 tables of 7, AND you start up a table of 7... there are still at least 2 tables worth of interested players not chosen.

I've only been around the boards for 4-6 mo, and sadly, this is not the 1st, 2nd OR 3rd fairly popular recruitment, that I've been interested in, that has had a case of GM vanish. I'm still hopeful that Archlichey! will be back.

Perhaps we have a wandering monster that's targeting GM's? Or perhaps just PbP posters?

(I'm interested in Playing KM, at somepoint. I really like the amount of effort Archlichey! has planned to smooth over the rough parts, so that it works better as a PbP game. From what I've seen, I may just need to run it myself for my table top group, when we finish RotRL in 2-4 years {We don't get to game all that often}. That said, I'd be willing to join someone else's table if one opens up.)

Still chilling and hoping to play with my gunslinger.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Hehe

Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

(Now just wait for it to be a Nat1.)

Edit: Oh hey! I was right. :/

Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

well here I go.

edit: alright I guess.

init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Prepare to suck color spray crowd...

Activate combat expertise...

All kidding aside my home group played this while I was down range and I,missed it, I want to play it bad, and dont care how I get in as long as little puppies and tiny babies arent stompped in the process

Alright, if people are interested, I just opened a recruitment thread for a very similar game to this one. All are welcome.

Check it out.

initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Boom!

This is the second time in 4 months that a GM has posted a game thread, accepted Shi, and then gone AWOL. Even worse, it's the second time someone stepped in to take over, and then said 'No Shi!'. *sigh*

I'm ok with waiting for the originator of this Kingmaker. It was his alterations to the Kingmaker AP that drew here, not just the gestalt.
