You collect your gold from Savah, and bid her good day. She replies back, reminding all of you to speak favorably about her and her business here in Sandpoint, and you close the door on her shop.
To the general store? Zeldana says with a questioning look upon her face, only to be greeted with nods. She turns and leads the way through the streets of Sandpoint to the General Store.
Walking through town, you cannot help but feel a small sense of contentment over being involved with the community, having come to it's aide not a few days before , finding hidden goblins left over from the raid, a budding romantic interest or three, and discovering a hidden dungeon below the city's bedrock below your feet. Passing you on the road is a young girl, pushing a small wagon cart half filled with animal pies. She wears a half mask over her nose and mouth, soaked with some sort of fragrance that is a sad attempt to stifle the offensive odor that exudes from the wheeled structure. Hello! she says in a merry tone as she passes, and then suddenly coughs. She pulls down the mask and spits a large glob onto the ground. Uggg, i can just taste it today! she exclaims, wiping her lips with dirty (you dare not think to hard about putting two and two together) hands before lifting up the mask again. She leans into the cart slightly, and it begins to roll easily, taking it's smelly cargo from the streets to be deposited where the offal is offloaded.
Finally, you enter the General store, and see standing there Shayliss. She turns and says automatically Hello and welcome to Vens- Sazzat! Oh my dear Sazzat! Youve come back!! she squeals loudly, her voice rising high to a crescendo/ She rushes around the tabletop where she had been folding fabrics of cloth, and straight into Sazzat's arms, and laying a heavy kiss upon his lips. Oh ive missed you! she says, holding him tight and squeezing hard, snuggling into him.
"Good morning Shayliss!" Tamm responds.
Bandit chitters enthusiastically from his shoulder.
"I'd have come and found you last night after we got back, but I was filthy with blood and splatter from the goblins and spawn we fought over the last day."
"Not to mention the craziness we found when we did return." Zeldana pointed with with a slight chuckle.
He blinked at the sudden display of affection given by the young woman to Sazzat. He was beginning to think thats indeed how humans were and he had just never noticed it before.
"Uh hello miss, indeed we were a unpleasant mess, why Dewdrop still has spatters of gore on his undersides i bet."
He added tilting his head and studying the two of them. He wondered if he should just pull Shalelu in like that... no no she would stab him for sure he was sure of that.
"how much lamp oil do you have? Any uh carts or wagons?"
He asked with his best smile.
Yeda smirks at fortuitous embrace as they enter the general store.
Ah, so we're getting the good prices then!
She slaps Tamm on the back jovially.
"But the good news is that I found a new friend!" Tamm says pointing at the raccoon on his shoulder.
"Isn't he great? I named him Bandit. He's really smart and I swear he and I know what the other is thinking."
Shayliss pulls away from Sazzat. A raccoon?! And you named it bandit? she says in a stern voice, raising her arms and putting them on her hips, in that way that all women do when they are displeased. She scrunches her face, her lips pushing down into a deep frown. A raccoon, who knows what youre thinking-
Blast that Katrine! Where has she gone? Shayliss! a voice shouts out from the back room of the store, growing in volume as it turns the corner standing in the doorway Where's your sister- oh, it's you. Old man Ven Vinder says, seeing everyone standing in his store, a scowl darkening his already soured face.
Now dad, be nice. Sazzat and his friends have helped out Sandpoint. And no, i dont know where Katrine is, for the third time today. Shayliss snaps back.
Ven growls, again, you surmise, for the third time. Well, she was supposed to be here today to help run the store while I went to Magdil's Farm to gather fresh produce to sell. He stomps off out of the room into the back.
And get that raccoon out of here he yells again
Shayliss shouts back Yes father. before turning back to Sazzat.
Well, we can discuss you and your...thing...later tonight over dinner at the Rusty Dragon. Now, how can I help you all today she asks, letting her arms fall to her sides.
"Racoons are actually some of the smartest woodland mammals.They are really cool when you get used to them."
He added to the pretty girl who seemed less than thrilled by Bandit. He didnt understand why. Animals were great to have a round. He did pause and glance back torwards where her father had disapeared too. He did not seem like a nice man at all.
"I was really hoping you could help me find a little pouch and some leather straps so we could rig up a little backpack for Bandit." Tamm says brightly.
"Aside from that, my friends have a shopping list, some goods to trade, and some money to spend."
Shayliss snorts at Corrin before looking at Sazzat, and then at Bandit. A backpack. For the raccoon? What, like something he would wear? she asks in a sarcastic tone.
For the rest, yes i can help you get what you need, if we have it.
"Actually there is a familiar pouch... Wait... That was sarcasm. Sorry. I'm still working on detecting that every time it is used." Zeldana said with a small sigh.
"No...no...no...I'm not kidding." Tamm says.
"Bandit's going to pick up stuff here and there and he's going to need some way to carry it."
"I can help in a way, I make a living by trapping. We can get a leatherworker to make a very efficient back for him in no time i bet. The saddlebags I got for Dewdrop are very useful on long trips thats for sure."
He said with an assured smile.
So.... it kind of sounds like Shayliss isn't game for this custom order...
Yeda asks, bringing the masterwork flute, silver earrings, and pouches of silver and gold dust to the counter.
Do you want to look over these and agree on prices while they design... the raccoon backback.
She grimaces self-consciously as she utters the last phrase.
Shayliss looks Zeldana up and down, silent, yet her eyes taking in everything, from the style of Zeldana's clothing, her hair, the way she stands, even the quirk of her lips upon her face. Shayliss arches an eyebrow Hmmpf. Indeed it was sarcasm. Oh Zeldana, if you didnt have your hair poofed out, why everything would go right past you.
She stops and looks long at Sazzat. [b]he's a raccoon. the only thing he'd grab is trash normally found in the gutter.
Bandit, who had been sitting upon Sazzat's shoulder looking at his tiny black paws, rubbing them together and licking them clean, stops and looks at Shayliss, cocking his head.
Why...why is he looking at me that way? Shayliss says, taking a step back.
We have some leather... she continues, distracted by Bandit, keeping her eyes upon him as she answers. ..yes, let's see what you have. Shayliss breaks her gaze from Bandits, and walks around the countertop and begins to inspect the items for trade.
Shayliss spends several minutes looking the things over, picking each up and turning each over, looking for flaws.
I can easily enough exchange the platinum for gold, the bottle of wine is worth a few gold, the gold and silver dust, the flute is worth something...I'll give you all

"That sounds great!" Tamm says.
Bandit nods along excitedly.
"Don't go being mean Shayliss." Zeldana calmly stated. "Just because I don't catch everything doesn't mean I can't tell when people mean insult." She added with a slight cross of her arms. "And insulting the friends of those you're dating is a poor look on you."
Yeda lights up and accepts the offer as quickly as it comes.

The warrior is completely ignoring the drama in the room and ready to start working down their shopping list.
Shayliss, is this the place for any potions, wands, or alchemical items?
"What about alchemical items? I think we are looking for some tanglefoot bags to trip up some goblins." Tamm asks.

"Eggs? I love eggs. Are they robin eggs? Sparrow? North Varisian spotted owl eggs?"
He began with as good an innocent smile as he could make... He was kidding of course, but he moved that way anyhow. Letting his eyes wander in case he saw something that struck his fancy.
"Let's head to the Feathered Serpent and see if we can find a wand for healing."
You spend the rest of the day visiting shops throughout sandpoint, going from dealer to dealer, exchanging gold for neccessary items you feel you need for the next step ahead as you seek to bring justice to Tsuto, the goblins, and who-ever sprung the crazed half-elf from jail.
You bring your goods back to the Rusty Dragon inn, where you see Loxley still sitting in the exact same position as you left her, hunched over a table, drinking from a goblet, that strange book spread wide before her.
Yet, oddly enough, she isnt alone. Aldern Foxglove sits next to her, reading over her shoulder, equally engrossed in the obscene tome.

After following the others around to additional shops, Yeda is happy to get back to the rusty dragon. She does a double take when she sees Loxley hasn't moved an inch.
So... what did you find in there? The source of all of our recent troubles?
"Hey Loxley!" Zeldana said with a wave as she walked up with the others. "And hello Mr. Foxglove." She added pleasantly.
Loxley sat in the same spot as when the others left, her attention focused on the book.

At the calling of the others Loxley turns her head but her eyes don't actually leave the page until she can no longer physically look at it. With her full attention on the others she sighs slightly. "Nothing I can definitively call a source. But there are some fascinating insights." She frowns. "I thought you all were going shopping. Did you change your minds?" She asks straight-faced, completely oblivious to the time that had passed.
Loxley catches something out of the corner of her eye and turns to see Aldern standing right behind her. She squeaks in surprise, nearly knocking the chair over as she stands. "Mr. Foxglove, please do not sneak up on me like that." She says as she tries to compose herself, straightening the chair and running her hand through her hair.
Yeda uncouthly draws her greatsword and thrusts it into the top of the table!

He turns his attention back to Yeda. A large smile fills his face. He walks up and stands next to Yeda, his hand reaching out and touching the side of the great blade. His fingers slide up and down the steel, a gentle, smooth motion. He continues his caress while he looks upon Yeda.My dear Yeda! so glad to see you back. Perhaps youd be willing to have dinner with me tonight? I would love to hear about any recent adventures youve been up to since our hunting trip.
Zeldana giggled a bit, covering her mouth with her left hand, as she gave Yeda the side eye. A small bit of teasing for Yeda teasing of her earlier.
"So, Loxley, what have you found?" She asked.
"I may need to find a tailor that can make a cloak for Bandit as well." Tamm says.
"Probably something in a dark color to match his stripes and mask."
His eyes opened wide as he ran a hand through his green hair his grin growing ever so wide. He had never thought of dressing up Dewdrop. It seemed a grand idea.
"I should get Dewdrop a cloak. He would look great in one dont you think. That is the best idea Sazzat!"
He quickly added in almost ignoring Mr.Foxglove. He did grow quiet and watched for a moment. If his understanding of the humans of the town was correct, any moment the man would take Yeda into his arms and kiss her. At least thats how they seemed to show their affection here.
"Oh! I suggest a nice deep green." Zeldana said to Corrin. "That or a pale blue. Both would look very good."
Yeda turns and stares at Aldern blankly for several uncomfortable seconds.

She lets that linger for several seconds before turning back away. She shoots Zeldana an evil look.

There is none other, Yeda. Aldern says loudly, bringing his hands to his chest, a wounded look upon his features. My dear, you were so brave in cutting down all those goblins! Saving me from their evil machinations. I cannot dare dream of what they would have done to my should they have made me their prisoner. His gaze looks up and over Yeda, towards the far wall, and beyond. His brow raises slightly as a look of sorrow blankets his face. But, to see you, swinging your sword, the way your body moved so gracefully, hefting such a large impliment of death in your hands, cutting those nasty things in two with ease. Aldern moves his body side to side, mimicing the way yeda moved in combat. He brings his gaze back to Yeda I mean come now, my lady, i cannot think of anyone more impressive, more beautiful, than you when you wield your weapon of choice. Please. Have dinner with me. I understand you must talk with your...companions, but please, just meet with me for 30 mintues. Allow me a moment to just take in your beauty, your grace, your wit and intelligence

Loxley blinked in confusion. Had she invited him to the table. She couldn't remember doing that. Luckily, before she could begin to further doubt her wits, Yeda provided a distraction.

”You did?” Okay, maybe she had let herself get to wrapped up in a book… again. She hadn’t done that in a long time… well, at least not in the last year… okay, maybe not in the last few months at least.
"So, Loxley, what have you found?" She asked.
Loxley shook herself out of her thoughts and regarded the rest of the group. ”Well there a number of interesting things I’ve discovered in the book about the cultists, but I’m not done with the book yet.” She sighed. ”I’ll finish it tonight and then I think I may be able to expound upon it.” She said hopefully as the conversation turned towards capes for their animal companions.
She smiled. ”Those both sound adorable.” She said as Yeda once again attempted to rebuff her gentleman caller. Loxley resisted the urge to chuckle at his, ah… determination.
Yeda grimaces more and more as Aldern continues.
No thank you. I really want to focus on our mission, and I'm not interested.
She sheaths the sword and sits down next to Loxley to escape the creepy man.
So what about these cultists? Any insight into goals they might have, that would give insight into recent events, and things we've seen?
"Don't worry buddy. We'll get you some adventuring gear after we deal with the goblins." Tamm tells Bandit.
He finds a seat and a high chair and the pair sit down to have some lunch.
Zeldana winced a little at how Yeda rejected him, however she was glad that she finally told the poor guy.
"Please don't push yourself too much Loxley. We're going to have a long day tomorrow." Zeldana reminded her.
Aldern stands there, staring at Yeda, a look of pained shock upon his face. His mouth moves up and down slightly, as if saying something, but nothing is given voice. His hands, held up previously from touching Yeda's sword, fall to his side listlessly, hanging limp.
Youre-Youre not interested? he finally breaths out loud, barely audible to everyone sitting at the table.
He stands there, looking lost, and slightly pathetic, before finally taking a deep breath. He looks upon Yeda one last time, look full of yearning and sorrow, before he spins upon his heel and striding across the room. He shoves the door hard, making it crack open as it bangs upon the wooden wall of the enclosed entry.
"Tough break guy....." John says as the spurned nobleguy walks off.
He winces as he slams the door.
"Some guys just don't take rejection well at all."
"Those who doesn't normally have some sort of failure elsewhere in their lives and it comes out often in romantic feeling." Zeldana said, though it didn't seem like she was saying this in defense but more of quoting something she read before.
"But I do feel a little bad for the guy, however you cannot force someone to like you."
Yeda nods at the slamming door as Aldern storms out.
Now that's the most solid thing he's done yet! I didn't train with the best in my clan and travel the world just to be some noble's trophy!

Loxley winced a little at Aldern's departure. She glanced from the door to Yeda but choose not say anything about what had just happened. Clearing her throat Loxley sat back down at the table and opened the book again. Taking up her rink she drained it and set the cup aside as she waited for the others to sit.

He tilted his head to the side and watched the man storm off. Clearly he didnt know about the forcefully kiss your love interest thing they had going on in Sandpoint. He did get Yeda's point though, If you wanted to attract someone's eye you had to like do something they would like. He should murder about 50 goblins tomorrow, that would be a start he bet.
