I don't know anyone specifically. I'd say open it up.
We are specifically looking for someone to fill a role opened up by our losses including
1) A pilot
2) A ranged damage dealer **!!**
3) a healer type
It doesn't have to be all three, but some combination would fit in nicely with our group of
1) Melee soldier (Gunner)
2) Melee solarian (Gunner)
3) Technomancer who is almost useless inside combat (Pilot, Science Officer, Engineer)
4) Medical Doctor Envoy (Captain)
Most importantly though, we need someone who isn't afraid to push us along in posting.

From above it looks like you need a ranged damaged dealer and a pilot. So I was thinking of taking a mechanic. I'll have to build him first to see which role he can fill best. But I think I can manage ranged and pilot cos I was thinking of taking the pilot background.
This is basically my excuse to play Rocket Raccoon here :)
But if that's not your thing I can make him less rocket raccon and more something else. There are some great race choices I wanna check out in the alien archive if they're allowed. I'll look over everything tonight.
A mystic Star Shaman or Xenodruid is also appealing. But yeah gimme a couple hours to read over them and will let you know which concept sticks.

Personally. And this is just me...but a long range expert with an Exocortex seems pretty awesome.
Also, did you take both Longarm Proficiency AND Heavy Weapon Proficiency?

I spent the last hour and a half formatting my character sheet to put in my profile and it didn't save it! Ugh, pulling my hair out. Sigh.
I think I only get one feat at first level so took Lonarm Prof for now. Next will be Heavy and will have to beef up my Str.
But it's only a -2 to fire it so it's not too bad.

Ok, Ysoki Mechanic was my first choice too as a Starfinder Character. I got him at Engineering 13 and computer 11 at level 1. But he wasn't too good for combat.
I'm looking forward to see your Ysoki statted out.
Though I half expected you to come as kind of Obi Wan Kenobi with that avatar ;)

Umm. Having computers and engineering while being useless in combat is a role already taken thank you. =)

Well not so much of an Obi Wan, more like a down on his luck merc with 6 shells of ammo left and a battle droid looking for work. ;)
He's got skills and should be alright for combat especially in another level. He's statted out hope I didn't miss anything.
Still need to type out the droid stats though.

I did realise that for my drone I didn't have enough cash to buy him a weapon. So for now he has a broken longarm that sorta exploded that he's got attached to him.

I guess piloting is the new perception. You don't have it, you're going to die. Horribly. Suffocating in vacuum. Shooting at +4 while your enemies are shooting at +12 is just a disaster waiting to happen.
Someone else going to do something? There are more gunner seats available for example. The Sunrise Maiden has a gun in every direction in addition to the turret taken by Boreal.

It is that thing about a melee soldier having sweet blue all to do in starship combat.
As a gunner you don't need piloting, you can use BAB, so a soldier with dex can do it quite well.
Tannhauser and I have the same issue, we wen't strength based which makes us crappy in starship combat

I'm working on apost that could include you Boomer.
Basically, the sunrise maiden was damaged and could use some repairs. Eric was once a lab technician that assisted repairs on software upgrades for craft...he met Boomer while Boomer was between jobs moonlighting as an engineer.

Ok, so a couple things.
Firstly, loot listed as "Equipment" sells at 10% of value. So it BEHOOVES us to claim whatever we can since we lose 90% of its value when it is sold. Please take a look at the Loot list and claim whatever you want. You can post about it here or edit the loot log.
We do have a substantial amount of nonequipment related loot which sells at 100% of whatever listed value is. (NoQual Fragments, Trade Goods, Art)
As it stands, we have about 8000 credits worth of things to sell. So divided by 5 that's 1600 credits each. We also have 800UPB for crafting.
Eric claimed a few items. Static Arc Pistol, Engineers Toolkit, Freebooter Armor, Spell Ampx2 (Lesser Restoration), Clear Spindle Aeon Stone

Not much for Manteca to grab, but did make my claiming of an azimuth laser pistol canon. Also, I'll use the UPBs to make some knockout drugs or anti toxins or whatever we decide is going to be the most helpful.

I'm going to get a MK I Personal enhancement - I'm thinking either a dex boost to improve my AC and to-hit, or if we need to fill in more of Allison's missing skills, I could go Int and pick up an additional skill. If I keep captaining, Intimidate wouldn't be a bad idea, or I can double up on Engineering or Computers so EH-RK isn't required to do both.

...so I feel like I should go for the Int upgrade, get my medicine and knowledge skills up higher, and then also just snag ranks in Intimidate. But that will mean that Manteca will continue to be the damselfly in distress, and I don't want anyone to feel like they're spending their PbP protecting our sweet, sweet naive doctor.
Any objections?

Sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile, I've been trying to force myself to post something to no avail. I'm just finding I care about Starfinder less and less due to a bunch of things, it doesn't have anything to do with any of you though so don't worry about that.
