Maps & Handouts

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'll be running a (weighted) lottery for recruitment late Sunday night, so post here before then with the character you want to unveil the secret that so distressed the Roidirans!

I'll be looking for introductory posts to get going on Monday.

My expectations are in line with most of the games I've seen, but here they are:

I expect players who can reliably post once per day.
I care a lot more about moving the game forward with those who are posting and interacting with the story and each other than waiting for everyone to have their say, so I will commonly move forward with a two-votes system - especially if it's a "which way next?".
I will try to make at least one substantive post/day as well as reactive posts as appropriate.
If I cannot do this for some reason, I will post to let you know that if at all possible.
If you disappear during combat or other decision points and hold things up I will skip you (or bot you if sufficient botting instructions are in your profile) and move on. If you make a habit of this I may take further steps, and will certainly be less likely to pick you for future sessions.
Please no dice only posts. It sucks the fun out of this for me.

Have Fun & Roll 20s!

Scarab Sages

Level 2 Wayang (Scrollmaster 1/Unchained Rogue 1) here interested in serving. Profile should be up to date prior to your lottery.

The Exchange

Is this pathfinder society?

I have never run or played this session. I have 3 characters in the 1-5 range: 1L sorc; 3L rogue; 4L hydrokineticist. I would love to join with any of these 3.

I'd like to join in. Not sure of character yet.

Lantern Lodge

Core or Classic?

Sovereign Court

provided its PFS classic ive got a sacramental alchemist 1.1 and a nagaji bloodrager 1

If Classic:
Hskoro Tailfeather, a Nagaji Fighter 2 (Built to be a Tank)
or
Juis Helfro, a Human Oracle of Lore 1

If Core:
Hudor Nero, a Human (Water) Sorcerer 1

@ Barebates: It is PFS.

Silver Crusade

Brierly quietly walks into the room. She pulls back the hood of her cloak to reveal a young face jeweled with a pair of soulful eyes. As she shakes a mane of dark hair loose from her cloak, a white shock of hair streaks one side like a bolt of lightning in a storm. She clears her throat and says, "My dearly departed wife and I are both available if help is needed. Don't worry. She was a Pathfinder, too."

Dark Archive

"Howdy, y'all! Name's Pelotita (which she pronounces at length as "pay-low-tee-tuh"). I'm sure lookin' forward ta adventurin' with ya! I hear there's somethin' mysterious goin' on in tha wilderness, and that just happens ta be ma specialty! Hope ta see you soon!"

Level 5 Halfling Feyspeaker Druid who just completed Ire of the Storm in Campaign Mode and needs to be leveled up. Prior to that she did Confirmation PbP.

If we're doing CORE I have several characters level 1-5 to choose from.

If we're doing low tier I have several characters level 1-3 to choose from.

PFS Classic!

Dark Archive

I've got two low-tier characters who just finished up their inaugural sessions:

Avasir Farisen, human wizard

Arfsnarf Ah'sneeze, goblin alchemist
If you want to check post history, there will be none for this character as he was designated for credit behind the pregen: Mogmurch.

Dark Archive

Oh, wow. I thought all of the Goblin Boons had been used up years ago.

Second Seekers (Roheas)

I have characters in either tier but I think the ones I would be most into playing for this are

Glenn (Grippli Alchemist 2)

Blondie (Vanara Gunslinger 3)

Hanataro Yamada (Dhampir Paladin 4)

Boon? No this character didn't get one. What makes you think that?

Second Seekers (Roheas)

The only way to play a Goblin in Pathfinder Society is to have a boon.

They were given out a long time ago and, to my knowledge, have all either been used or are out of circulation at the least.

Grand Lodge

Not 100% sure the differences between Classic and Core's yet, but I've got a level 3 Bard That'd be game for a new scenario.

Grand Lodge

A half elf scurries over, quickly standing in line for the adventure. "C- count me-e in too!" he stammers, shakingly nervously.

First time Society player, but I've got a Lvl 1 Orc/Draconic Sorcerer that would love to get in the game!

Lynn Kuro wrote:

Since Lynn is a Kitsune, definitely Classic. Core just means Core Ruleset. Basically meaning Core Races/Classes only.

Grand Lodge

Have a Dwarf Foehammer and a half-orc U. Barb that haven't played but have been wanting too

Thanks! For future games, referencing it in the title or early in the first post helps people figure this out.

Playing a Goblin in PFS requires a race boon. If you don't have a race boon, you can't play it. Similar with a lot of the more exotic races. There are some exceptions like Kitsune, Wayang, Tengu, Ifrit, Oread, Sylph, Undine, and a handful of others are available to everyone right now.

Edit: As a quick addendum, some people have a stack of race boon characters. That's because, traditionally, race boons are given out to GMs who run events at conventions. If you do a lot of those, you end up with a stack of random race characters.

Grand Lodge

I am interested, level 3 Inquisitor (Sanctified Slayer).

Liberty's Edge

I have a 4th level bard.

Two 2nd level magi as well and a 1.1 dwarven inquisitor

2nd level warpriest or 3rd level rogue, reporting for duty!

2 people marked this as a favorite.

1.2 lv. Cleric Eamon Valda (a fun Taldian Cleric with a bit of a chip on his shoulder)or
1.1 Bloodrager Makon Grimug ( This character has played Solstice Scar)

*EDIT* FYI to all players on this recruitment thread, whether or not I get chosen to play. I will run this adventure again sometime after-GM Cwethan's run (say end of Jan. to start) So anyone who misses out on this one; will get preference on seats come the start of my run in a couple months..( I had planned to run it after game-day II was over but, instead I think I'm going to season 5 Libary of the Lion first.)

Silver Crusade

0 xp Half-Orc Medium 1 that I'd kinda like to get started.
If this scenario isn't appropriate for brand new char or we end up in high tier, I have other possibilities.

Hrm... I did not realize. Reading Additional Resources again...

Quote:
To create an aasimar, catfolk, changeling, dhampir, fetchling, grippli, goblin, ratfolk, samsaran, suli, tiefling, vanara, or vishkanya character, you must have a Chronicle sheet that opens the race as a legal option at character creation.

So I guess that doesn't just mean have the character on a chronicle sheet? Oh well, I still have the other character ready to go for this.

Avasir Farisen, human wizard

Silver Crusade

From the PFS Guide Appendix 1 "Character Creation":

Quote:

2. RACE AND AGE

Select your character’s race. The choices offered in the Core
Rulebook are always available, as are ifrit, kitsune, nagaji,
oread, sylph, tengu, undine, and wayang, provided you
own a copy of the appropriate source book. Other races are
available as campaign boons; the Chronicle sheet in which
such a boon is available must be the first Chronicle sheet
applied to a character.

One of these days I'll remember to add that to my spiel :-/

And as for Arfsnarf:

It's a bummer to not be able to play the goblin you were planning on making, but you can still use the credit from their earlier adventures by rebuilding them, which you can do for free anytime before playing a game at level 2 or higher.

And since you haven't posted as Arfsnarf yet, you can still change the name to whatever your next idea is!

Ah, I see. I was unsure if I could change the name since the chronicle sheet specified it. It's seeming like as long as I keep the character ID I should be okay with a rebuild.

I'm still submitting my other wizard character, but I'll post back here if I get the rebuild done in time.

Yup, thanks. I had been focusing on referencing the additional resources and missed this basic statement.

For high tier, I have a Level 3 Cleric Ecclesiathurge.

For low tier, I have a Level 1 Catfolk Bloodrager Prowler at World's End.

I've run this seven times, but I've never gotten to play it.

Always check back on that document after GenCon each year. They occasionally swap races in and out of the list. Not every year, but often enough that it's worth noting.

I would be interested, level 2 bolt ace or level 1 hunter.

I'm still hoping to finish a rebuild of the (non-playable) goblin character as a Halfling Alchemist. Thankfully I think this minimizes modification, but the background blurb will be somewhat different.
