It isn't. That is an object in the prayer hall. The room you're in is the one to the right. :)

It isn't. That is an object in the prayer hall. The room you're in is the one to the right. :)
Duh, you said east and I went west...If we detect magic, Ting will root through the pile if not let's move on.
Ting looks at his fellow pathfinders, waiting to see if any of them cast any spells to dicern the nature of the objects in the pit.
if no one casts anything in 24 hrs. ting will move on to the other rooms and eventually any stairs leading up.

![]() |

sorry about the delay, holiday got in the way.
Avoiding the pit, Ting returns to the previous chamber, testing the door into the southern room, he opens it and enters.
Take 20 [31] on perception to investigate the door, he would take 10 [21] on perception investigating the southern room and then take 20 [31] on perception investigating the door if everything is clear he would head up the stairs.

![]() |

Sorry for the delay, computer problems. Could Mylvwara have bought a wand of CLW back at the temple of Brigh?
Mylvwara scowls into the pit, ”Sorry, just pondering a treatise I read last night. Hmm.”
She casts detect magic into the pit.

GM Chyro |

Their outpost is not large enough in population for the wealth of wands. It is, after all, a set up in a literal junkyard.

GM Chyro |

Mylvwara scans the pit, but no magic radiates from it. Perhaps slightly disappointed, if not unsurprised, the team heads back out to let Ting inspect the next door.
The door indeed has a card lock, and the stairs behind it leads further down.

GM Chyro |

In reference to Nemesis' comment at the heal rolls, whose wand is used?
--------------
We've advanced to the new slide.
A flight of metal stairs descends along the outer edge of a partially buried metal structure here.
A door allows access into the structure from a landing below, while brilliant lights cast illumination out to the south, into a large, damp cave. Far below, a pool of foul green fluid bubbles and smokes.

![]() |

Aww, my wand is empty now, sorry. I would have gladly give it to you if that wasn't the case. But maybe you're able to fix it? To put it full of magic again? How does that work?
It may sounds Strange but the blonde barbarian seems genuinely interested about that topic.. of course, that was before something interesting appears downstairs
Awww, Beaky, have you seen? Is that a trap, or a foe?

GM Chyro |

As in very very down below. :P
30ft at least.

![]() |

I will take the one wand usage for Ting off of Ting's wand
Seeing the pit at the bottom of the steps, and the door beside them, Ting gestures at the door to the north ? "I's don't like's tha idea's o' leavin' an uncheckified door's behind me's wroight." He then inspects the door and attempts to open it.
Take 20 [31] on perception to investigate the door, then will attempt to open it with the card if it's clear.

GM Chyro |

As Ting studies the door, Hellion manifests on a monitor again.
"Mongrels! Turn back, or die!"

GM Chyro |

Hellion frowns in anger.
"Primate, you've just signed your own death warrent.
So be it. Enter, and prepare to die."
The screen flickers, and everyone feels a throbbing in their heads.
Everyone, will save DC 18 please.

GM Chyro |

Will Drexel: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Will Nemesis: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
While Brallenera, Mylvwara, and Ting resist the effect, only feeling a slight tickly feeling, Drexel and Nemesis have a disoriented look in their eyes.
They are affected by confusion for 8 rounds. We're going into init for this.
Brallenera: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Drexel: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Ting Tang: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Mylvwara: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Nemesis: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Round 1
Nemesis 1d100 ⇒ 31
"Whazzz...thlup?"
Drexel 1d100 ⇒ 90
He has a battle eager expression on his face, 1d4 ⇒ 3, and suddenly takes a swing at Nemesis.
Falcata: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10, it cuts a mean one across her shoulder.
Brallenera, Mylvwara & Ting
So the question here is, what will you do?

![]() |

A thousand pardons for my absence. I've been having...trouble. I don't know if it's too late to roll MY OWN Will save instead?

![]() |

Noticing the one named Drexel take a swing at the red headed theologian, ting blurts, "Well 'at's just bloody floggin' wrong, wroight." He looks at Brallenera and asks, "While' 'em twos, work out's whatever disagreement's they's gots, shall we's go find 'at demon feller?" He then attempts to open the door with the plastic card.

![]() |

”Ting, their minds are haunted as yours was yesterday. They might kill each other.!”
”If you throw stones at them, and then flee, they will pursue you wildly but I doubt they could outpace you.”
Mylvwara shakes her head, embarrassed by her simplistic solution.

GM Chyro |

Is misstress of mayhem planning to intervene?
This is otherwise going into a chain of retaliations, provided they keep hitting each other.

![]() |

sorry, hard day at work
Awww. Don't you have a spell to Knock them out, so they Don't maim or worse, kill each other? Should we wait until the magic fades and they get their minds right?

GM Chyro |

(GM is slightly wondering why on Golarion waiting would be a sound tactic) ^^
Pin a (both) combatant(s)?
They can't move if they are.

![]() |

Awww, that's Worth trying...I'll take the girl.. No wandering hands, mister Beaky.
At the first Opportunity, Brallenera jumps on Nemesis
Grapple: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

GM Chyro |

Before Nemesis has a chance to focus on returning the painful favor on Drexel, Brallenera gets a hold of her arms.
Grapple successful.
Ting grab vs Drexel?: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
Ting likewise catches his target by surprise, putting his arms behind Drexel's from his back, preventing any 2-handed strikes from being done.
================
Round 2
Nemesis looks irritated in her confused state, at Brallenera.
"Shhtupid dwarrrrff."
Longsword vs Brallenera, grappled penalty: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 2 = 4 1d8 ⇒ 4
She tries swinging her sword, but Brallenera's grasp is firm, and the angle of their height difference isn't favorable for Nemesis either.
Drexel tries swinging his falcata at Ting in retaliation for grabbing him.
Falcata, grapple penalties: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 9 - 2 = 19 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
He manages a cut across Ting's arm, with much effort.
Brallenera, Mylvwara, Ting
Confirming another grapple check gets them pinned, leaving them only the option of a counter check to break free, but otherwise unable to attack.

GM Chyro |

Brallenera, you had a +5 bonus to the check, for having her grappled to start with. So you pass. ;)
Both Brallenera and Ting maintain their hold on their comrades, with Drexel in a neck lock, distracted by Mylvwara covering his eyes.
========================
Round 3
Nemesis CMB to break free, DC 18: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Drexel CMB to break free, DC 23: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Nemesis breaks free from Brallenera's grasp, Drexel does not from Ting's.
Brallenera, Mylvwara, Ting

![]() |

If it was a pin, he’s just gone to grappled now, right?
Also, they still need to make confusion checks. If lucid they might let themselves be restrained.

GM Chyro |

Mylvwara, i'm unsure about that, but it seems plausible.
I'd say no to more confusion rolls, as a confused creature that is attacked fights back against the last creature that hits it.
Grabbing them would count as such. If somewhere something says otherwise, feel free to point.

![]() |

Fair play: totally forgot about the fighting back rule.
Also, just checked and he is free of a pin in one round. Moving from pin back to grappled first is an old rule from 3.5! I feel old now...

![]() |

Ting, if someone is pinned then it’s a free action to tie them up with rope. Do you have any rope?
Sadly, no, he used it years ago and never got more, could he use a bandolier?

GM Chyro |

Was it during Darkest Vengeance, perhaps?
Bandoliers are ill meant for that purpose, i reckon.
Nemesis makes a swing at Brallenera, who was making another grabbing attempt.
AoO from non-improved grapple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 Minor dmg: 1d8 ⇒ 3, but she doesn't hit Brallenera.
Ting, when you start a round while grappling/pinning someone, you get a +5 bonus on the check to maintain it, and with penalties from grappled included, Drexel is still restrained.
Mylvwara, anything else?
============================
Round 4
Nemesis strikes out at Brallenera.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 1d8 ⇒ 2
Crit?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 1d8 ⇒ 5, cutting her for 4 dmg.
CMB Drexel to break free: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Drexel almost breaks free, but Ting's still holding him tightly.
Brallenera, Mylvwara & Ting

![]() |

Grapple: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Awww, tis but a scratch.... Stay calm now, I can hurt you way more you can hurt me
Brallenera seems annoyed by the wound

![]() |

I honestly don't remember when he used it, but suffice to say we will take that +5 to grapple :-)
Hanging on to Drexel for dear life, ting watches as Nemesis cuts, Brallenera. Encouraging the 'Mistress of Mayhem' he calls out, "'ang on's Ta her, Brallenera! 'angs on!"
Ting grab vs Drexel: 1d20 + 9 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 9 + 5 = 25

GM Chyro |

Mylvwara and Ting are keeping Drexel well in check, whilest Brallenera is swung at again, for trying to grab Nemesis.
AoO from non-improved grab: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 1d8 ⇒ 5 Miss.
Brallenera dodges the sword, and is holding Nemesis again.
================================
Round 5
Nemesis tries hitting Brallenera, before she might be pinned again.
Sword, grapple penalty: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 2 = 20 1d8 ⇒ 8
Close miss.
Another miss, and a smile on Brallenera's face.
Drexel CMB vs Ting CMD 23: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Everything seems safe on that front.
Brallenera, Mylvwara & Ting
