Mylvwara Elberion |
"Hmm, looks almost like a mouth... sized for that strange piece of material... maybe we should 'feed' it?"
Mylvwara places the card in the slot.
GM Chyro |
The slot sucks in the grey card, and a small bleeping sound is heard, before the card is ejected half way for the user to retrieve...
The metal doors slowly slide open.....
Ting Tang |
Watching with great interest as the cardkey is placed in the cardlock, Ting mumbles, "I's'l 'ave ta gets me's one's o' 'em, wroight."
assuming the coast is clear
He then walks into the corridor beyond. Sword resting gently on his shoulder keeping a keen eye out for traps and such.
On we go, ting will take 10 (21) on perception moving forward.
GM Chyro |
The dull gray metal walls of this H-shaped chamber are adorned here and there with rectangular panels of flickering glass mounted at head height. Bits of garbage and rotten food lie strewn across the floor, and the air is thick with the rank stench of unwashed bodies.
Nothing of note, aside from the awful stench, catches Ting's eye, as he explores the room.
Ting Tang |
Twisting his beak as he breaths through his mouth, "'at's a bloody wroipe stench wroight." Nodding forward, Ting suggests , "Shall we's go ta tha doubly doors?" He then goes and inspects the double doors, then attempts to open them.
he will take 20 (31) on perception, then use the card or take 10 (30) on a traditional lock.
GM Chyro |
The doors show a similar space for the card shaped object, and they too open. Somewhat to your disappointment, it leads to stairs descending back into the arena.
GM Chyro |
Awww…
is all Brallenera has the time to say when the explosion comes
...is what happened in timeline 17, where this door was actually trapped.
Thankfully, timeline 1 does not have this, and Ting opens the door with the 'key-card'.---------
GM roll: 1d5 ⇒ 3
---------
When three of you have walked through another door, also unlocked by the key-card,
This large room is lit by tracks of glowing panels of light set in the ceiling, ten feet above. To the west, the room ends in a ragged wall of rubble, rock, and twisted metal, while to the east, a tenfoot-diameter circular platform sits on the ground before a pair of large doors. Rectangular panels of glass adorn the walls between crude paintings of a mechanical talon.
You find you have yourselves a reception, as well. A half-orc stands near a large table-like metal disc, with eight others in armor & robes ready to engage you.
The 1/2 orc: "Faithful of Hellion! Our god demands their death, kill them!"

The reception, round 1
Acolytes group 1:
(Blue, Cyan, Orange, Purple)
The acolytes fanatically head towards Brallenera and Drexel.
These fodder will be wiped in 1 round, i reckon.
Blue gauntlet vs Drexel: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Cyan gauntlet vs Brallenera: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Orange gauntlet vs Drexel, flank: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 2 = 21 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Purple gauntlet vs Brallenera, flank: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 = 8 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Crit Blue?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 Extra dmg: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Not confirmed.
The acolytes give Drexel a swift beating, most likely their last today.
The ones attacking Brallenera are quite incompetent at their job.
Malakai casts a spell on himself.

Ting Tang |
Ting will attack whichever one Brallenera didn't
Seeing the attackers at the same time he hears the half-orc, Ting lifts his blade off of his shoulder, telling the speaker, "You's wait's wroight 'air, wroight." He then studies the one that hit Brallenera and swings his sword at them.

Brallenera returns the strike against her in kind, with a quick double hacking from her axe. It takes out cyan, who falls to the floor bloodied.
Ting does a more brutal strike, carving right into purple's shoulder, blood gushing out when he pulls his blade back out, that was an outright kill.

F!@*ITYF+#$ITYF+%!FOCKFICKFIKEFOKEFORK!!! This thread's been pulling the 'silent treatment' on me. It's been a while. You could have PM'd me, or mentioned it in the other game, since you saw I was mostly keeping up that one; might've been suitable cause for suspicion on your part.
Given that you only just got around to getting out the puppet-strings, would you permit me to retcon that?

Mylvwara is sort of stuck, without space to move.
"Oh dear, quite the predicament."

Nemesis Melek |
Okay, last time was just dress-rehearsal. Now....
"Faithful of Hellion! Our god demands their death, kill them!"
"Where is your god?" Bellows Nemesis in retort, as she rounds the bend just enough to expose her unholy symbol to the room.

There's been some moving. Drexel was where Nemesis is currently placed. He hadn't made mention of stepping away...
Drexel hacks into the acolyte, who wobbles unsteadily on her feet.
Brallenera, on the other hand, hacks into Drexel, dishing out some hurt upon him instead.
Drexel is currently at 5/52.
Ting quickly decapitates an acolyte....the messy way.
Where is your god?" Bellows Nemesis in retort
Hellion's face appears on multiple plaques once more.
"I AM RIGHT HERE, WORM."

Drexel hacks into the acolyte, who wobbles unsteadily on her feet.
Brallenera, on the other hand, hacks into Drexel, dishing out some hurt upon him instead.
Drexel is currently at 5/52.
Shouldn't my aiding Drexel's AC last round, since Brallenera made her attacks before my action this round, have been just enough to protect him - 'janked', as you say - from the second swing?
In other news:
Nemesis stares at the face on the plaques.
"Interesting approach. A 'god of the people', as it were - but what of your tinder?" She makes a sweeping gesture toward the numerous bodies on the floor, all halfway turned to ash. "Where were you when MY god embraced them?"
Mylvwara Elberion |
Mylvwara steps into the room and finds some space beside her companions.
Then she makes some small arcane gestures and a greeny-yellow dart surges toward the remaining orc.
ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
acid damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
GM Chyro |
Hellion grins as he replies to Nemesis, not even a glance spared at the lifeless bodies of the acolytes.
"Your feeble delusions fail to amuse me, fleshling.
Your end will come within my domain."
While that is going on, the acid dart flies at Nalakai, hitting im in his left shoulder.
"Ow ow ow! You wretched….thugs!"
Round 3
He frowns.
"Very well, have a taste of this."
He grabs a scroll from his robes and starts chanting in orcish.
A purple miasma appears near the group.
Dark energy: 2d8 ⇒ (4, 7) = 11
Brallenera: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 4 = 10

Ting: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Nemesis is hardly fazed, as it deals but 2 dmg.
Aside from Brallenera, who takes the full 11 and becomes sickened for 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds, the others are hurt but for 5 dmg.
Brallenera, Nemesis & Ting

Being reasonably annoyed, Ting charges the half-orc, "We's'l see, Wroight." Swinging his bastard sword at Nalakai then pecks at his eye, just for fun.

Nemesis Melek |
"S'matter, 'Lord'?" Nemesis sneers back at the Deus In Machina. "No magic to offer even when your devout are on the other side of the room?"
She whips her head around, and again presents Ymeri's icon. The terrible, cold burn from before sweeps across the room at Nalakai in a concentrated wind!
[dice=Channel Force, DC 17, Nalakai is also pulled forward on a failed save]3d6[/dice]
Would've beaten Ting to the post had I not needed to look some things up, so maybe my action should be treated as preceding his, for whatever it's worth.
GM Chyro |
Hellion: "Your pitiful comment will only make your death that much sweeter, insect."
He grins with malice.
Save Nalakai: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
The half-orc resists the pull that comes from Nemmy's channel, and he laughs.
As he laughs, Ting charges him, making an overhead chop, which splits the guy's head clean down the middle. The laughing expression is silenced and frozen forever on his face, eyes twitching from the abrupt death.
FATALITY!!
Combat over.
GM Chyro |
Nalakai has, like Helskarg, a grey card object.
The acolytes have regular gear, consisting of spiked gauntlets and light shields.
Nemesis Melek |

My healing wand is half-depleted, so let me know those amongst you who have healing wands of your own, and I will use them on you instead:
Ting has a wand, he will apply CLW to his, to help save yours.
Pocketing the little grey card as Nemesis heals him, Ting nods his head, "Tanks! Shall we's moves along?" He then heads to the double doors beyond the half orc, inspecting them for a moment, he then attempts to open them with the card.
He will 'take 20' (31) on perception, inspecting the door, then attempt to open it. I'm assuming a card is in order, instead of disable device. If not he will take 10 on disable device.
GM Chyro |
At the time Ting cleaved Nalakai's head, Hellion disappears from the glass plaques, just before Nemesis fully gloats her comment at him.
She takes care of most of the party's injuries.
GM Chyro |
As Ting opens the door,
The north wall of this room is a tangle of ruins and debris, while in the center of the room stand four tall pillars with glowing bands of pale purple light pulsing along their sides.
Mylvwara Elberion |
I don’t have clw but if you want a lesser restoration or mage armour at any point, Mylvwara has you covered.
Mylvwara looks cautiously into the room and uses her powers to detect magic in the room.
GM Chyro |
No magic signs ping on Mylvwara's radar.
The only thing of note are two heaps junk and the pillars.
