I also don't think you would want to be inside of the structure when it happened. I wonder how long it would take the ocean to drain into the Darklands?

Whoo-hoo! I’ll get Barkot leveled up over the weekend & work on making sure the loot sheet is up to date. Barkot will want to keep the wand of spiritual weapon, and I assume we’re hanging onto the consumables. Any other thoughts on what we should keep or sell?

May I move weapon focus to greatsword? Only argument I have is that fighters can trade out feats every fourth level. If I had started at 1st with this guy, I would have modified that at level 4 which is where I began. No big deal if not.

So at 5th level Reillana would add +2 on her Inspire Courage, which is very helpful. But I think it would fit the theme I'm building here to have a 1-level dip into Swashbuckler in order to fight more effectively with the whip. She'd probably need to do some retraining so the feats make sense as well.

Does anyone here have a preference?

I can see retaining the feats, but what does the level dip in Swashbuckler do for the scorpion whip other than add +1 BAB? Isn’t it a slashing weapon?

Well free weapon Finesse, then Reillana could retrain to have WF (whip) and Slashing Grace right away, probably Combat Reflexes for her 5th level feat.

She's never going to be on Deric's level has a melee bruiser, but she should should be handy enough using reach from the second row.

I would enjoy a flanker. +2 IC for the entire party is powerful. Interesting to see what you do.

Okay, to make this work I think Reillana will take Arcane-Duelist5 to get +2 on arcane strike damage and +2IC for the party, we've got a lot of people who attack with weapons so that's a big boost for us.

Next three levels I think will be Lore Warden fighter because whips are feat intensive. Retrain my current feats of WF (whips), Weapon Finesse, and Slashing Grace.

Lvl6: Whip Mastery
Lvl7: Improved Whip Mastery, Improved Trip
Llv8: Agile Maneuvers
Lvl9+: back to Bard :)

It's not anything like a power build, but I hope it'll be fun.

I tried to build a whip/tripping master once. It didn't work out for two reasons:

1. Monster CMDs go up really fast, plus extra legs and size... 2. My party at the time was very un-tactical and wouldn't take advantage of the tripped opponent.

Maybe I'll try it again some time when I am in a group that is not quite so RP focused.

Squint and Ulyi have leveled up. Squint took a class dip in Vigilante!

Kidding. Straight on with the Inquisitor. I now have Summon Monster III spells available. I retroactively fixed my Mounted Combat error by taking the Mount Eidolon feat. I got a new 2nd level spell. Ulyi got some Improved Natural Armor and a bunch more hit points.

As far as as loot goes, there's nothing that really floats my boat in that haul. The golembane scarab would be nice for Ulyi, but not essential. Because Squint is a Charisma-based caster, I'm not super-excited about the Intelligence headband. Very happy about the money, though.

No penalty for power attacks. Beefed up intimidate and grapple as they both did surprisingly well.

@Deric - Furious Focus is HUUUGE. I run the party BDF as a GMPC in our home Runelords game and between Power Attack, Furious Focus, Greater Weapon Focus (greataxe), Vital Strike, and Weapon Specialization, he hits like a truckload of bricks even against high AC opponents.

Here’s what I’m probably looking at for Barkot:

Level 5: Oracle

FCB: +1 spell known (1st level)
Feat: Favored Prestige Class (Runeguard; favored skill, Spellcraft) - won’t get any benefit from it until I take a level in the prestige class, but the goal is to start Runeguard at level 7, and taking this feat now allows me to take Prestigious Spellcaster at level 7 so I don’t get delayed a level of spellcasting.
Skill increases: Knowledge (Local), Knowledge (Planes), Knowledge (Religion), Perception, Spellcraft; Background skill increases: Linguistics* x2
Spells known:
1. Comprehend Languages, Obscuring Mist
2. Resist Energy
New languages: Azlanti, Shoanti

One way or another you can consider yourselves healed of regular damage. Any remaining ability damage will heal at the normal overnight rate.

Take what time you want for purchases or anything else. I don't think this is actually a good time for extended down time activities (like retraining). Lady Heidmarch would prod you out of the manor before that would complete.

Does anyone want the lenses of detection (Paëral?) or golembane scarab (Deric?), or should we sell them?

If we keep them, we have a total of 4,877.05gp to work with; if we sell them both, we have 8816.8. We could invest around 10% into the medkit? Also, does someone else want to put 2 prestige points into a wand of CLW?

The scarab would be quite valuable IF we encounter golems. Not certain of the overall loot situation, but unless we need that gold I recommend keeping that for a while at least.

That’s my inclination as well. I think it's a safe bet that at some point we'll be glad to have it. Why don't you take it as our main damage dealer, at least until you get an adamantine weapon?

Squint will go in for 2 prestige on a wand of CLW. He seems to need it the most.

I'm vacillating between two different magical items with my money, or a good solid adventuring stand-by. Allow me to present the options.

1.) Sell my masterwork lamellar leather. Buy +1 mithral chain shirt. Cost - 2100gp. It would be lighter and give me a +1 to my AC (20AC). *yawn*

2.) Knight's Pennon of Honor. Cost - 2200gp. It would be affixed to my lance and allow me to cast protection from evil once daily (CL 6th) on myself.

3.) Boots of Readiness. Cost - 2650gp. It would - prior to my 1st action in combat - give me a +2 to my saving throws (+3 in actuality because it's a luck bonus and I always get a bonus to any luck bonuses) and 12 extra hit points. Once I act in combat, those things go away.

I really like #3. I'd have to sell some things in order to make that work, but I think it's cool as HILLLLLLL.

I'm taking votes.

I think Barkot will pick up a cloak of resistance - boring, I know, but if the primary healer goes down, it won’t end well for anyone - and restock his alchemist’s fire.

I suggest either Deric or Squint hold the potion of CMW we found, in addition to the 2 potions of CLW each from the medkit purchases. They’re both usually up front, and Squint seems to be a hit magnet. Maybe Paëral or Reillana hangs onto the potion of invisibility?

Squint will sell his light repeating crossbow for 125gp (that's 50% market value). I'm still 300gp short on my boots. Any petty cash that I can borrow from, or anything else that we're selling that might be able to boost things?

Otherwise, I'll sell my wand of rejuvenate eidolon (that I've used so rarely).
