What's the ingame reasoning behind titles only for deities? Gonna invoke Erastil and wondering if using his actual name instead of title will mean something different.

It's a respect thing. As a paladin of Erastil, you may say his name. The superstition is about people people outside the faith.

If you are a lay believer, basically everyone in the party except Nikandros, you may say the name of your specific deity, especially in a teaching context, but it is ruder to swear by their name than by their title. "By Cayden's Crotch!" is ruder than "By the Hero's blade" for example. People would be more offended by the name than the sexual imagery.

For a Shelynite to say something even as mild as "By Abadar" in a room full of Abadarans is the equivalent of that person walking in a room and screaming "C&%&!" at the stop of their lungs.

The god won't smite you if you say their name. The onus is the believer. However, if you were to wear a holy symbol of another religion, expect discomfort.

Hey can I ask why we have to put all the dialogue in bold? It just looks weird to me AND is kinda annoying to do since formatting on Paizo sucks balls. Hairy, sweaty balls.

It seems to be the standard on the forum. I find it helps distinguish the text and dialogue better. If the majority wants to change we can. I don't see what so difficult about Paizo's formatting.

It's just really tedious compared to the other site I RP on. As for the dialogue, I just find that it looks really weird when it's bolded like that? Like....really bad fanfiction or something. Might just be me, though.

I've been skittish about moving things along 'cause I don't know if anyone has anything to say. I'll move things along if there's no response by 10:00 am tomorrow (3/25).

In a combat scene (spoiler alert one's coming up), I will be a bit more lax 'cause everything's balanced based on everything being involved. But if you don't chime in during an RP scene then expect to be botted along.

Pain is subjective. But you do know that Tarik shot guard 2 so logically he would have taken the most damage

Unchained is out in hardback now. The PDF is going to be available on April 29th. I'm going to get it and everyone can have a look. The reviews are mostly positive and I am open to allowing people to alter their character along the new guidelines. Is anyone interested in doing so?
