And then another question, does activating a solar weapon count as drawing it? Because the rules on the solarian page say it's a move action, but then the rules for taking the Move Action say that you can combine moving and drawing a weapon if your BAB is +1, so would that apply to the solar weapon too?
Yes, you can combine a move action and activate your solar weapon, because of the +1 BAB
It's a rule that only effects first level, by second level everyone has a +1 BAB.

Hey guys, I'll be out all weekend and Monday. If Darakwinn's turn comes back up, she'll keep stabbing unless things turn dire, in which case she'll hurl a Forcedisk.

Reposting this here, it might be easier to find here if Loxx returns.
Loxx hasn't posted in almost a month. I sent them a PM about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back. For now, I'm treating Loxx to be lost in the smoke. If Loxx's player returns, feel free to join the game again as if Loxx has found the party again.

Sorry I was missing, had to spend all day at the vet yesterday. One of my dogs was sick all week and we thought he was gonna have to get surgery (low chance of survival though so putting him down seemed the best option) but we got really lucky and it turns out he didn't have the issue they thought originally, so we were able to bring him back home and just have to feed him medicine for a little while and he'll be fine

Sigh; I get back and start posting only to come down with covid. Not up to posting, but will be back when I can
Nothing in the organized play rules says anything about not being able to convert an SF1e discussion page to SF2e discussion mid-game. So I'm doing that now to give out hero points so Floota can reroll her Covid save.
I've had a crazy week and got an in-person SFS game this weekend, Floota is sick, and Sonicnarukami is starting college. Let's break until Monday.

I'm finally back! Sorry I disappeared for longer than I expected, my friends have been hanging out with me every day so I didn't have much alone time lol
You mean you're not the only person attending the college you are going to... That's going to make it hard to concentrate... :)

Thank you for the botting. I'm back, but may be a bit slow to post for a few more days. I'm better in the sense of having no symptoms, but am left really tired still. Please don't let me hold things up.

I just got back from taking my mother to the hospital. I got to pick her up tomorrow, so it might be Monday night or Tuesday before I have time to post a lot again.
We are near the end. I need to get all of your info for them. I might have a few minutes here and there to work on them.
Organized play #

I think that's all I need. If I'm missing many things on that list, let me know.

Really, there's no need to rush, at least not on my account.
The health of your mother and your mental peace around that is more important than this game.

Requested reporting/chronicle info:
player: Redelia
character: Floota
838-718
Wayfinders
chronicle #1
no XP
In terms of real life stuff, please do take care of yourself and your family first. If a few minutes of escape a day would help you, we're here, but we can wait if this would not be helpful to you.
I also want to apologize for how scant my posting has been. I'm 'recovered' from covid, but it's left me thoroughly wiped out, and some days I just can't make myself post. I will post if I can, but please don't let me hold everyone up.

Sadly, my mother passed yesterday. Here a copy of the post I made about it in the main Starfinder forum.
Maybe I'm from Eox, My mother just died.
4 days ago I was playing ball with my 81-year-old mother 3 times a day. Then she had a series of multiple strokes. I had to go home from the hospital last night to let Hospice in to set up a bed for her. This morning I went in to see her before they moved her home. As I get 20 feet from the hospital door, the doctor calls and says she doesn't have long. I make it to the room just in time, and everyone leaves me alone with her. I tell her shes been a good mom, and they tell her to just let go. She immediately exhales one last time, the end... It was peaceful.
So why am I writing this here? On the way home, I passed the game store where I play Starfinder Society. I have the Player Core PDF, but the idea popped into my head if I buy the hardcopy of the SF2e Player Core now, every time I play the game, I will remember my mother.
So why Eox? You should have seen the look on the nurse's face after my mother died and I asked. "So how long will this condition last?"

Thanks for the update. I got your chronicle info and saw the game thread post. I'll get the game updated after I recover from dealing with my relatives.
Take care of yourself, I wish I could give you some real-life hero points to recover quicker.

My friend, it truly touches my heart. A year ago, my mother passed away on August 28, 2024, after four months of a hard and brave battle with the disease. She was only 67 years old, but that is exactly how life is sometimes. I think I understand your emotions now.
I wanted to apologize for my sudden disappearance. The sale of my parents' house, where I grew up, caused me to be overwhelmed with emotions. I needed time to sort out things, prepare documents, etc. Emotionally, it was just too much, so I shut myself off from the world for a while. I came here to write about it along with my apologies, and then I saw your message...
One day, we will meet those we love who are no longer with us, and we will not be separated anymore. I send you a hug. Take care of yourself.

Thanks, Loxx. I get the house part. I lived with my mother as her caregiver for years. So now I'm trying to decide to stay or sell the house, and I have relatives going through the house taking things, like I don't even live here anymore. No one other than me has even stopped to remember her.
Also, thanks for letting us know what happened to you. When you left the game, we were at a good spot to have your character get lost in the smoke. I did it in such a way that it could make sense if you came back. We are in the last combat. Are you looking to join back in the game? I'm not sure how that would work for game credit.

No, I don't think that makes sense. Besides, I once played this scenario, although I don't remember it at all, and I was going to spend a replay. Thank you for the beautiful idea of smoke and character disappearing!

After the combat, there is the mission debriefing, which is a little more involved than I expected, but shouldn't take too long.
This was my 2nd time GMing Starfinder and 2nd time GMing a play-by-post. If you have any feedback back feel free to post it here to send me a private message.
I improvised two parts, so courious what you thought of those.
One was the asteroid lice encounter. I was hoping to create some suspense by listing more opponents than there really were.
Round 1
Aphelion
Balin
Darakwinn
Floota
Loxx
Vega

The other was the door skill challenge with the team skills that stacked.
After I had the Trox knock down the door, I remembered that the door had something on the front of it that you needed to find, so I replaced the skill changes you would have needed to do to open it with picking it up. This scenario has a lot of skill challenges, so I thought I'd try something different with skills to break it up.

I think you did a good job. The pace was good and the descriptions of the action were good.
And, of course, I always enjoy when people play along with my Shenanigans so calling the last bad guy Alice was much appreciated.
I will admit that the Something in the smoke and steam bit left me wondering what was going on and anticipating an ambush that never happened. The only critique I will give to that part is that I don't remember it being resolved and I wondered if it was more/different opponents or neutral watchers or what. A post saying that the other lice scatter after the first ones are defeated or that they swarm the place where we were after we move on would be good.
Also, the skill challenge was pretty seamless. It felt like a skill challenge that would be in the adventure.

Thanks, good point about needing to say what happened to them after the fight was over.
