By request, here are the ground rules for posting. Everything open for discussion and I promise I'll try to be flexible.
Length: Post as much as you want. I'll generally prefer a long post for RP but one line is fine especially in a conversation.
Combat is generally one line. Feel free to describe what you're doing. Something like "Arcane swirled around him as he communed with the arcane forces of the universe. His fingers twitched and he chanted the magical words from the arcane tongue. Soon heat poured from his hands, growing steadily larger and larger until it became a mighty fireball. Bill threw the fireballs towards the orcs and it crashed in the center of their numbers. Fire spewed outward from the mighty explosion."
You don't have to go through all that if you don't want to. Only so many ways you can't describe swinging your sword.
Also the forum has an in-built die roller and I've seen it be pretty fair (knock on wood) so we're using that.
NPCs: If you want to roleplay out a small scene of interacting with the bartender then feel free to roleplay him. If you want to talk to the king then tell me because I have to roleplay him. If you're unsure then talk to me and I'll tell you if the NPC is important enough or not.
Style: Dialogue should be in bold with quote marks for ease of reading. "I'll rek you, I swear on me mum!"
Telepathic Conversation is in bold and italics. Very Telepathy. Much invasion of man's most important sanctuary. Wow.
I'll try to lay a scene before you enter anywhere but don't be afraid to make up some details. You want to describe what the tavern smells like? Go ahead. Want to describe what the high priest looks like? Leave that to me.
For example, in the first post I asked everyone to think about where they are on a typical day in the city. Someone might say the tavern gossiping with some travelers. Describe the travelers, describe the tavern, the barwench, write out some dialogue between you all, and/or even name the tavern. (The largest tavern in Stag Reach is the Bull's Eye if anyone wants to start there.)
In short, I'm gonna give you a lot of leeway because you're all experienced roleplayers. I'm trusting you to know where the line is and to ask me if you're unsure.
If you have any questions, post them here so everyone can see my answer.

Sarenrae - The Dawnflower
Shelyn - The Eternal Rose
Torag - Father of Creation (for dwarves only); The Forgemaster
Urgathoa - The Pallid Princess
Zon-Kuthon - The Midnight Prince; The Prince of Pain
Most people use these names or a small variation of them. For example, a person might say the Rose when talking about Shelyn.

Sorry Nikandros. The rules say without the Quick Draw feat "you may draw a weapon as a move action, or (if your base attack bonus is +1 or higher) as a free action as part of movement." So you can run 60 ft. and draw your weapon should you wish.
Erastil's Paladin code does allow it. "When danger threatens, I am not a fool. I seek first to make sure the weak and innocent are safe, and then I quell the danger."

GM Larkos |

At least you have one, Nikandros. While Stag Reach isn't the mean streets of Navan (most crime-infested city in the campaign), this is still Pathfinder where all non-intelligent wildlife wants to kill you, Dragons rule the skies, Fiends look to steal your soul, and adventurers are everywhere, causing and attracting trouble.

Val Autumnchild |

Val, in the interest of having you *not* be totally useless in the first fight of the campaign. I will allow you to have a dagger in your boot or maybe strapped to your thigh or something. Point is, always have a dagger on you. Always.
I do have concealed daggers, that's why I have five on my character sheet.

the dice ain't that bad. they may have crit for me.
Also, we doing xp based levels or story? I presume story but if not I wanted to advocate for this system

Okay.
Tarik is front of the bar.
Cerrick is on his ass facing the door.
Dephelia is flanking Tarik with Cerrick and her back to to the door. Were she to turn around she could run straight out the door (assuming no one is blocking her way.)
Crellick is facing Tarik but is not flanking anyone. His back is to the window
Val is flanking Dephelia with Tarik. Her back is also to the door.
Anya is behind the bar near a door that leads to the Tavern's storeroom.
There are civilians in the bar too. Zelia is on the ground between Crellick and the window. Other civilians have crowded into the corners near the window.
Willem, the owner, is cowering in the back room. Anya could see him if she leaned far enough but no one else can.

In the future I will wait an AoO to resolve. If you kill something in an AoO then whatever they were doing is stopped and that obviously affects what will happen next.
I suggest sacrificing unlucky dice to the sentient die roller god. To show you have replace its inferior, physical progenitors.

GM Larkos |

Okay. I'm implementing a new system. It's called "Call your Post."
If you want to post something without being interrupted, put something in this chat to that effect.
Before you yourself post, check this discussion and give it a minute or two to make sure you don't just miss someone.
This rule applies to group play and not when when it's just you and the GM.

Turns out I forgot about how Paladin's Detect Evil works and I don't need to do the full spell thing. Move action to get the aura of one person so I'll check the woman first, then Anya, then Tarik, then Val. Then the guard officer. 5 move actions, should be able to be done in 3 rounds of time.

Good to know for the future but it won't affect anything in this discussion. In fact, you probably won't need to count out everything in a purely RP situation where everyone is just talking.
