I took a full round action to run at triple speed so I could get there by round two, though if I can only walk up walls I suppose I can't complain, as it's totally amazing to be able to spider climb with my hands free.

Raj after blasting wand through the open window, Raj vanishes and reappears inside, flanking the trogs and swinging his quarterstaff at the back of the likely puzzled trogedlytes.

[dice=Quarterstaff with Flank]1d20+4+2
[dice=Damage]1d6+1

Yea I did not take that into account. Ok so you did climb up the walls and stunned one for a round. Knocked the other out.

The next round when the one that saved woke up Selina blasts it with fire and it drops its weapons to run away only to run into Hajar busting in the door on FIRE! Hajar swings at the Trog but misses.

Does that series of events make sense?

Raj is in the Left Tower. Where a Trog is under the full effects of color spray. The other Trog Saved and was stunned for one round. When it woke up Selina Shot fire at it. Then the awake left tower trog ran out of the left tower to meet up with Hajar coming in the front door.

Grim is alone in the Right tower. With 2 Trogs away from the windows where you can not see him.

Grim The Wanderer wrote:

Round 4

happy to see a flanking buddy, even one as unlikely as Raj

So your are jumping into scorpy's claw again?

[
If one of the creature is disabled because of the color spray grim will focus on the remaining one. Current AC 24

Grim you are still alone. I did this so Raj would not bust in and take your Glory. Sorry once again for the confusion. It will all get sorted out soon just a very disjointed series of events.

You hit the one Trog for 9 damage but it stays up.

The 2 Trogs attack Grim.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Both Miss his insanely high AC.

Wednesdays are my meeting days so I'm away from my desk all day mostly.

Hajar swings again at the foolish trog who did not run away.

Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Tempest: 2d4 + 11 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 11 + (3) + (3) = 23

And he decapitates the poor thing

Not sure what round it is anymore but here is what is happening for those of you fighting the Trogs.

Hajar, Iryna, Selina, and Raj have all converged on the inside of the front doors that Hajar knocked down.

Grim is still in the Right tower.

Hajar has gone this turn. The rest of you know where to find Grim so you can move into the Right tower and help him fight the 2 Trogs that are in melee with Grim. Grim can also take another action.

My Gnolls are in Round 3. Their are 3 enemies left and they are all focused to attack Kuralaak.

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

Kronus sees the Newcomer is more skilled with that Crossbow than he thought, He looks around to see if there is anything useful to make this situation better.. Potions..A spear.. anything really.. His Necklace...

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

If not he does as before and Full defenses...

On the Gnoll guard you killed you find.

Combat Gear: potion of cure light wounds; Other Gear: +1 studded
leather armor, masterwork scimitar, masterwork composite
longbow (+4 Str) with 20 arrows (poisoned with Huge scorpion
venom; DC 18 Fort Save, 1d6/1d6 Con damage), stingchuck (1d4 plus nausea)

Don't ask me what a Sting Chuck is the AP does not go into a lot of detail other than "a devious and hideous ranged weapon they call a “stingchuck.”

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

Thank you :3. I'm aware of what they are.. I think, either way that's his turn.. because staggered huuuuurts... That Gnoll was a beast.. Hrmm Kronus Might be able to cut the arrows down into bolts Kurulaak could use.

Well i got this fight. i am Da man with the Plan... says Grim to no one in particular

ok just tell me when you want to resume our combat

Iryna looks at Hajar after his sword finally lands against the Troglodyte. "Strength for the champion of Sarenrae?" she asks. Murmuring a prayer to the Dawnflower, Iryna touches Hajar's shoulder and warm silken energy flows from her to the Paladin, fortifying his limbs.

Bull's Strength; should net +2 to Hit and +3 to Damage with yout Falchion unless you already have a STR buff :)

Grim The Wanderer wrote:

Your ready to go whenever. I thought I made that clear.

I gotta put a stop to this. This combat is so confusing no one knows what is going on.

Raj, Grim, Iryna, Selina, and Hajar defeat the last 2 Trogs with no problems.

End of your Combat!

The 5 of you will use 'Trog map 1' for combat.

Look at 'AP map' for navigating the area. I will put a star showing where the party is located.

Gnolls you guys continue to fight and you are using the same battle map you have been using.

C1. Faded tiles have cracked and crumbled into small piles at the foot of mud-brick walls. Once colorful mosaics are painted with sloppy, blood-scribed warnings written in Draconic and punctuated with gnoll scalps spiked into the walls.

By the way C2 is where Raj and Grim Climbed into the windows.

C2. Narrow windows open along the slightly curved outer wall. Propped near each of the windows leans a handful of javelins. The remainder of the room is stripped bare.

The floor in the southern room is scrawled with strange chalk marks that form some sort of grid of four 5-foot-wide squares, and littered with smooth, polished stones. The grid and stones are used in a primitive gambling game the troglodytes play to pass the time. Grim has heard of this game. You drop a mouse into the center of the grid. Each other grid has a large scorpion, one leg tied to a spike driven into the center of each grid by a length of twine, so that each scorpion can reach just to the edge of its square. A better stands at each corner, and any mouse fortunate enough to make it out of the grid earns the better guarding its square a coin or in this case a polished rock. While the mouse gets rewarded by being placed back in the center to await the next round of the game.

After glancing around for more threats Hajar moves into the larger room. C3 He is scanning for threats using his ability to sense evil.

Kuralaak is sick so I am going to post for him.

Round 3.

Rapid shot.
Shooting Brown: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Shooting Brown: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 He lands a shot right between the Eyes of the beast and it goes down with a Loud Thud!

The red Gnoll shoots his long bow at Kuralaak 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

The Red Hyenadon charges at Kuralaak 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

Both still Miss.

Round 4 Starts.

Kuralaak Rapid fire.
Shot at the Gnoll: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 11 - 2 = 17 Hit 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Shot at the Hyenadon: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 Hit 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Red Gnoll has taken 12 damage Total. Red Hyena has taken 4 total.

Kronus take your action. For round four I assume drinking a potion and putting on the armor?

Attacks on Kuralaak 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Miss 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 Hit

The Hyena charges Kuralaak again and chomps down on him. 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

The Hyena stops running back and forth now and just stands in melee with Kuralaak.

Kronus You have an action in round 4.

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

Round 4
--------

Kronus rummages through the guards belongs pulling out a vial which he knows to hold a curative perfect for this occasion, Hopefully this gnoll Kuralaak was strong.. and as he inspects the vial he hears the beast he had been fighting drop with a heavy thud.

Maybe he is a strong one as well, would he count...and If not why did he help? I dont have time for thinking on this.. need to get.. healed

Move action is all I got.. picking up the potion, 5ft Done. Cant even drink isssh sad

Kronus Drinks the potion at the start of round 5 and it puts him to 1 HP.

Kuralaak 5 foot steps and shoots at the Gnoll

1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 hit 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 The gnoll falls off its mount to the ground.

The Hyena bites at Kuralaak.

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

Round 6
-------

Kronus makes sure the Other Gnoll can hold on for a few seconds more and slips on this guards' armor, positioning himself to jump into the fray once again, claws and mouth extended.

Armor takes minutes to don......

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

Oh Im aware.. the suggestion was brought on by the DM, at this point Kronus could do a couple of things and really no matter what he's not attacking until next round...

Well now that these were dispatch were to O glorious Abbot Leader of Your Redeemed Followers, whom you personally saved from Evil and Greed says grim in a rather serious tone (but the grin kinda spoils it)

Here I go doing that hand waving thing you know I love to do so well.

Between Kronus and Kuralaak the two are able to kill the Hyenadon.

That leaves the two gnolls staring at each other. They will catch up to the rest of the group by C4 or C5.

Grand Lodge

Male Sylph Conjurer (Focused Teleportation) 5

I think I'm with the group and away from trogs...

Well, as entertaining as that was the Carrion King almost certainly knows we're here now, so we should get to him as soon as possible before he has time to prepare. By the way, I thought we only found one redhead? Where'd the other one come from?

This query occurs as he follows Hajar into C3.

C3

Two sets of double doors sit along opposite walls of an open-air court. On either side, narrow wings extend for fifteen feet. Three large pillars run down the center of each of the wings. Swept against the walls lie piles of rubble from a collapsed ceiling.
The walls hold faint traces of calligraphy written in Ignan, though the writing style is antiquated and the engravings are barely legible, and judging from the surviving fragments, they are short prayers to Rovagug.

No evil here.

Nodding to Raj's suggestion, Iryna adds, "And before Sarenrae's blessing on Hajar fades."

Move along with the rest of the party.

Kakooyapesh the Gnoll Barbarian

To Kronus. After a moment of long silence. Are you going to eat me?

Hajar's Consumables Male(Human) Paladin 3 Oracle 9 (Abbot Protector of Kelmerane) | HP86| AC/Touch/Flat 22/11/21 | Fort/Ref/Will +14/+11/+14| Init: +1 | Percep: +8

Hajar looks around the room and reads some of the scripture

This place is cursed and vile, we conclude our business here and be off.

Hajar moves through the doors into C4

Kakooyapesh the Gnoll Barbarian

Kuralaak surprises Hajar by appearing behind him. Hello old friend. I found a Gnoll back there who wants to play nice. Maybe we should send him in first? Kuralaak grins. Hajar just might be finally figuring out how to tell when Kuralaak is joking...

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

Kronus reaches over after ripping a tooth from the Gnoll they dropped before. He equips himself once more and then looks to Kuralaak the silence gone from both sides. A grimace and raspy voice " No.. I'm not going to eat some Who helped me. Why did you help me in the first place? Are you the Humans' Pet or something? *spitting blood on the ground* Regardless I owe you a debt.. what would you ask of me... and What is your name? "

He looked over the rest of Kuralaak's group with a grim face but too heavily hurt to complain.

Kakooyapesh the Gnoll Barbarian

I am Kuralaak, Seige Engineer of the Thunderhills tribe. If you do come with us, I promise you much flesh to eat. The humans I travel with keep my meat sack stuffed. Kuralaak digs in his bag and pulls out a piece of giant scorpion meat. Why this just last night we killed. And we ate.

Iryna Marita Pantaeva wrote:

Move along with the rest of the party.

Sarenrae's grace will not leave Hajar until combat starts IE start the timer on that spell when combat starts.

For the sake of the game the gnolls have cought up with the rest of the party. The other Gnoll guard had +1 Studded leather as well as all the other gear the Gnoll Kronus looted had.

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

" Then I am Kronus.. Paragon of the Deathmaw tribe. You say you come from the Thunderhills? Were they not crushed or destroyed not long ago? I come here for more than just Flesh.. I wish to overthrow this Carrion King... he has taken much from my tribe.. No one else deemed themselves to fight back for fear of death.. I no longer fear him and I showed myself the be the strongest of my tribe.. I no longer rely on what I do not have myself.. and I will only grow stronger. I will rebuild my tribe. "

Kronus gives off a raspy chuckle reminiscent of the hyena-like heritage they both shared. Pointing to the Crossbow Kuralaak wielded " You seem to be strange.. and adept at that thing.. a different form of strength. Good... Good. Your talk of meat does make me Hungry those whelps had been 'petting' me for the past three days..."

FYI the crossbow is a homemade heavy repeating masterwork crossbow. Kuralaak is a rare breed of Gnoll engineer.

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

He is speaking in Gnoll... oh and of course he looted the other Guard as well.. but did not touch the corpse besides that.. he didn't kill it. He will ask Kuralaak if he can drink the potion

The potion will heal you 9 if you do drink it.

Kakooyapesh the Gnoll Barbarian

Ah, nothing more dangerous than a Gnoll with nothing to loose. Drink that potion up, warrior... Kuralaak sniffs the air. Come, my friends are in danger. Kuralaak runs for the others yipping with glee all the way.

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

Kronus downs the potion breaking the glass in the ground and grinning as he felt his life-essence return with a satisfying slurp. "Well.. I guess I should catch up to him.. should'nt I...and meet these Humans he calls friends." A wide smile creeps across his scarred muzzle as he got on all fours and sprinted faster.. much faster than a normal Gnoll.. but to him.. he had met a Gnoll like him.. something special... though in a much different way... This one was smart.

He cast Longstrider his Movement is 40ft for the next 4 hours.

When they reach Kuralaak's "Friends" he is somewhat hesitant... this could be a trap... He wasn't sure.. and he did not have his necklace..he was less helpless however.. Kronus simply was wary. Waiting on them to respond

Grand Lodge

Male Sylph Conjurer (Focused Teleportation) 5

Very well, I suppose some extra fire power wouldn't go the wrong way. Inwardly he's still wary though, particularly of the newcomer. Though most would miss it, he could sense something a little... off, about her. [Take 10 Knowledge Planes Check = 21]

Raj alternates between detect magic and detect poison spells, throwing in a resistance spell every minute or so. Discreetly, he does a quick inspection of Irnya and Selina with Detect Magic.

Don't know exactly how far a 21 Planes and detect magic will get me in learning about these two, leave that up to them and Dave I guess/

Hajar, seeing the newcomer covered in blood with blood around his mouth intently scans the gnoll for evil.

The archer seems unfazed by this creature
In Gnollish Hajar speaks to Kuralaak the Archer
Kuralaak, you have found someone?

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

Just to be sure Hajar is speaking in whispered tones of Gnollish to Kuralaak?

I wouldn't say he was whispering. Feel free to engage in the conversation

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

As Hajar focuses in on Kronus he notes a very odd thing.. this creature.. though clearly less tame than his compatriot Kuralaak did not radiate the evil taint many Gnolls before did. As Rajar inspect further he notes Kronus lapping at the stains on his mouth and readjusting his hands which end in wickedly sharp claws and are also covered.. bones popping from the flexing. Kronus dead-stares at Hajar and smiles. Speaking a harsh tongue yet about as eloquent as Kuralaak;

" Yes He found me Human... He deemed me the time of day to...assist. I Owe him. Who you be? Leader of Pinkskins? Is he your pet? Do you come to kill the Carrion King like I? Well.. what is it then..? "

This Gnoll seem's to stand at 6'8" heavily scarred even before the recent injuries with White-Grey fur and a Thick hide. He holds himself in an intimidating posture even now.. though not directly at anything as if to give the image of a relentless predator.

Dam is getting overcrowded in here. So Hajar has more Geeses to add to his Flock Hey ? Does that mean i can now have that paid vacation O Mighty Abbott ? says grim...obviously having fun

[ooc]Also no one thinks it strange that Hajar burst into flames just a few minutes ago?[/ooc{

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

I dont think Kronus saw any of that... but I would assume its happened before with Hajar.

lets see: Flames + Sarenrae + Holy Abbott ? Nope nothing new or strange. Move along soldier Nothing to Redeem here.

By the way before we get into real danger can someone close this minor good i got recently? he says pointing to a shoulder wound

Male Human (Gnoll Heritage) Alchemist (Vivsectionist Beastmorph) 1

Kronus looks to Grim confused, sniffing the air and the blood from the wounds with a sly grin. This one was not human, though he smelled like human. In a raspy common he changes his view to Grims direction.

"What you mean by Join this hairless' Flock? And how you heal wounds? You have plenty of potions?"

Ignoring the jibes from his tiefling companion Hajar studies the new Gnoll further

Hajar, noticing the wounds and seeing his compatriot Grim's easy nature with the newcomer, walks over and places his hand on the newcomer's arm.
