I think the player guide is free to download. I have the PDF somewhere. From what I know of the ap it's set in the desert and will require a good knowledge of desert survival skills. A ranger or Druid might be a good thing. That's pretty much all I know, oh and gnolls lots of em.
Dave will we be using the campaign traits. If so I'd like a ruling on one of them as soon as I find my player guide PDF.

As standard take at least one trait from the players guide. Either of the traits I'm going to post are also ok for your second trait. Be prepared to link or explain your non LoF trait.

Traits
The following are regional traits for Katapesh.
Merchant’s Child (Regional): One of your close relatives was a gifted merchant in the bustling bazaars of Katapesh, and taught you early in life how to see the innate value in any object. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Appraise checks,
and Appraise is always a class skill for you.
Pesh Addict (Regional): You spent several years addicted
to pesh, a habit that you may or may not have kicked. You start with only half of the normal starting cash, but your knowledge of the pesh lifestyle grants you a +1 trait bonus on Bluff, Knowledge (local), and Sense Motive checks. One of these skills (your choice) is always a class skill for you.

Check this one out and let me know what it means to you Dave.
Also, the players guide has a bunch of Katapesh specific traits. I'd have to look at them all.
Honestly it doesn't mean much as all it reall tells is the benefit.
I'll check the players guide and see.

Hey I would be intrested in this! I like posting several times a day!
Few things. Don't build an AOO reliant pc :P
Two weapon fighting should be pretty good in this.
Include all skills. Skills snould be importiant in this game.
Roleplaying is more the focus then combat.
High posting rate. I am on constantly and post quite a bit (unless I am sleeping :P)
With all that, I am thinking is an Ifirit or Aasimar focused around fire, a viking from the cold north that is completely out of his element and constantly complains about the heat, a kobold or goblin of some sort (because I love goblins XD), or something else :)

Is there a Player's guide for this AP? I'm not able to locate it on the Paizo site atm. I haven't played this AP yet, so I was looking for a little inspiration. If anyone has a .pdf copy of the player's guide, can you pm me, and maybe email it to me?
I've got the players guide PDF I think but it's at work.
You use the link nilesr linked ( if you copy and paste there is a space in the last word that should not be there) and look at traits.

Ok, I am running a robotics camp for kids this week. And during the regular school year I am a computer teacher so I am online every single day. I am able to meet your minimum posting requirement and probably even exceed it as I am on the boards 5 or more times per day anyways.
I should hold off on my back story until such time as you have chosen an AP. I will write my back story accordingly.

I'd be interested in joining Legacy of Fire. I am a very consistent poster, though unfortunately this can't be seen in my paizo record since it was all on the GITP forums. My average posting rate is 2.5 per day, though if other people are also posting often that could easily increase. The house rules are fine by me.
Character Concept:
Race: Sylph
Alignment: CG
Class: Wizard
Specialty School: Conjuration
Appearance:
Dark skin, shaved head, large body.
Background:
Was born in Kelmarane, but was kidnapped by an out cast gnoll that couldn't decide if he wanted to eat him or sell him. Settled on eating, but was killed first by a janni. Boy to this day has no idea who his saviour was. Wound up in a port city, then Absalom. Enrolled in a second, possibly third rate wizard school after being recommended to pursue magic by the Pathfinder Society, but discovered he had a real talent for summoning.
*Seeking Adventure Trait*
Not actively violent, except against gnolls, but he's not a pacifist either. He feels he is connected to djinn somehow, and he has a constant desire to learn more about his heritage. His father used to tell him stories about his ancestors at Pale Mountain, and he wants to learn more.

Legacy of fire
Any class and race
If you don't know anything about the ap you will start as a mercenary to help reclaim a city that was overtaken by Gnolls years ago.
It is an Arabic themed setting in the desert of Katapesh. You will have been hired in the city of Katapesh. This gives a reason for strange races as you can find beings from other worlds trading here.
