Grim The Wanderer |

So one down, 1 more to go. replied grim to the warcry.
Moving to be in combat with the last enemy
dagger: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 2 = 131d1 + 1 + 3d8 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (3, 8, 3) = 16
well that is a miss.
Hajar can you lower your voice when you shout that warcry. i feel like you are including all of us and it troubles my concentration Its a lame ass excuse, but on such a short notice it will have to do.

Iryna Marita Pantaeva |

Iryna follows into the room, coming around Kronus' left side and throws another bolt of fire at the troll-odyte.
Move to C10; Firebolt! No Cover, but in Melee: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 3 - 4 = 10 Damage!: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Shenanigans! lol

Kronus Deathmaw |

The creature claws across Kronus' chest piercing his armor's defenses and leaving internal blood-whelps gushing out once more. The healing from before unable to sustain the past injuries.. and they too open up. Kronus grunts in horrible pain, But sees an opportunity when Grim approaches from behind.. The Trollodyte however is too quick and leans away parrying the blow with a meaty arm... But leaving itself open to Attack!
Flanking Powerful Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Powerful Claw Damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Flanking Powerful Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Powerful Bite Damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Flanking Powerful Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Powerful Claw Damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Kronus strikes, digging sharp claws into the Trollodytes underarms as it tries to swipe at him again missing.. as the beast flails madly in pain Kronus bites down upon a wrist artery with steel-like teeth and rips a chunk out causing its coordination to go out of whack with its left arm as it bleeds heavily.... He grinds the flesh in his teeth and looks much like a Predator to prey.
two hits 17 damage

Hajar nar Jundi |

Grim, just pretend you double moved instead of attacked, you were like 60' from the troll.

Iryna Marita Pantaeva |

Iryna watches as the Trol-odyte crushes the white gnoll's shoulder in it's maw, her Angel flares to life as she channels Sarenrae's healing into the group.
Move to F10 and Channel Pos for Channel!: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5) = 11, excluding the Trol-odyte. Her new location should put her close enough to everyone to give everyone the healing :)

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar wil finish what Grim started...
Go swiftly to your gods!
Tempest: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20 Damage: 2d4 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 5 + (5) = 12

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar heals the gnoll, which looks close to death.
LoH: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1) = 11
Kronus, you rise another day, the Dawnflower would see you defeat the Carrion King.

Kronus Deathmaw |

Kronus lets a pained gasp escape his throat as the Trollodyte crushed his shoulder and teeth grinded down.. its jaw slackened and he was able to toss the creature off.. bleeding. He was enough of a Distraction that Grim, Hajar and Kuralaak delivered a masterful trio of deathblows. As he blood trickles from his body he once again feels these warm glows from this Human Hajar and Iryna. It confirms his suspiciouns for rarely had he felt the same from his own tribe.
Kronus seems.. thankful and frustrated at the same time. " Grrraah! I owe you a debt again... If I continue to need such help perhaps the current King is king for a reason... You keep speaking of this 'Dawnflower' who is this?" Nodding to Hajar
LOL max damage AGAIN ... so close to death haha

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar smiles at the gnoll's mention of Sarenrae,
My holy lady Sarenrae is known as the Dawnflower. It was she who in times long past battled the Rough Beast, Rovagug to a stalemate so that the elder gods might bind him in the earth. She is the lady of the morning. She sees your worth Kronus Deathmaw, and she knows each day is a new begining.

Iryna Marita Pantaeva |

Iryna picks up where Hajar left off, "Sarenrae is very concerned with redemption. She teaches her faithful that no being is without merit, and that each being should be allowed to be better than what they were. All that she asks is honesty-live your life in light, truth. As to the Carrion King, he is king because he is strong, and because he has not had any to challenge him. He too will be offered redemption, but The Dawnflower does not wilt in the heat of battle. Be assured that you do not owe us any more than we owe you." As she finishes her speech, she chants a short prayer, and touches Kronus on the claw. Warmth flows between the human cleric and the gnoll warrior, more of his wounds closing and his strength returning.
Cure Light Wounds CLW!: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar smirks a bit at Grim and continues
Holy Mistress Iryna, all this is truth. Hajar pauses a second and his eyes flash crimson
But we will not tolerate the minions of the Rough Beast, this Carrion King has made his bed, and he will lay in it.
Hajar gestures to the temple around them, a Temple of Rovagug, the enemy of life.
To Iryna
I gave you a wand purchased from the stalls of Katapesh and blessed in the light of the rising sun. It can close the wounds of our band easily enough.
To the party,
Let us not tarry here long, this place is cursed.
Hajar sheathes Tempest and begins keeping a close watch on the interior of the temple.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

After everyone is healed sufficiently. You continue on I suppose.
C5.
Several ten-foot-wide, C-shaped alcoves stand to either side
of this forty-foot-long hallway. Pillars run down the center of
the hall, and scattered in several of the alcoves lie the remains
of ancient offerings, most of which consists of tiny cracked
perfume bottles and crumbling wads of burnt incense.
The western door opens into area C4, while the eastern
door leads out to an open pathway that runs through the
courtyards of the main temple. Close inspection of the
door to the east reveals that it has been sealed shut via a
stone shape spell. The door no longer opens as a result.
C5a: This door opens to a spiral staircase within the
southern minaret. The stairs climb upward to a small
platform in the minaret 60 feet above, but are quite rickety looking
and riddled with cracks. Each round a Medium or
larger creature stands on the stairs, there’s a 25% chance
the stairs collapse. (Its not hard to figure this out.)
C5b: This door opens to a spiral staircase within the
northern minaret—it is safe to traverse.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Assuming you go down C5b:
The spiral stairs lead you down into C7a. You open the door cautiously.
C7.
This long hall ends at a curved wall to the east where a brace of
heavily barricaded double doors blocks further passage. Before
the door stands a haphazardly constructed bunker of rubble
and mud brick.
Area C7b is a small circular
storage area that contains several broken weapons and
bits of scavenged armor awaiting repairs that will likely
never happen.
It is obvious this is a sleeping quarters area however no Troglodytes are here.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

You continue on into C6.
The air in this large, dark hall is acerbic, infused with the scent of
the smoky braziers that provide dim lighting. Archaic frescos fade
beneath layers of graffiti on the chamber’s walls, which are marred
in several places by brutal axe marks. Three pairs of columns line
a single walkway that cuts through the center of the room. Along
the perimeter stand small semi-circular mounds formed from
reddish clay soil. A pair of double doors hangs on the center of the
east wall, while to the west an arch opens to a large alcove. In the
southeast corner, a small flight of stairs leads up.
There are 14 soil mounds in all. Buried in each are small
clutches of sand-colored, speckled eggs, each about the size
of a grapefruit—troglodyte eggs.
5 Large Lizards and 10 Troglodites guard this room and snarl warnings to retreat when the first of you step in the room.
Map updated.

Iryna Marita Pantaeva |

Using the Wand that Hajar gave me, I will drop three charges of CLW onto Kronus... CLWx3!: 3d8 + 3 ⇒ (2, 3, 2) + 3 = 10
and two more... CLWx2!: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (1, 1) + 2 = 4
and two more... CLWx2!: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (8, 6) + 2 = 16 That should get Kronus to full 54/54 health! Only seven charges to get there lol
"Hajar, this wand heals like it was made as a joke! Is it broken?"

Iryna Marita Pantaeva |

Seriously, an average of >2 on each of the first five dice! lol
Iryna is not startled to see so many Troglodytes, They can hardly be as strong as their troll-esque brethren! She prays aloud and courage and will settles into each of the heros.
Bless, +1 to hit and Save v. Fear for everyone for the next five minutes. Is the Bull's Strength I put on Hajar still running?

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar calls out in common
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
Put away your weapons if you value your life. We wish only to destroy the Carrion King and the worshipers of Rovagug
Here is to hoping that the trogolodytes don't worship Rovagug

Grim The Wanderer |

Nay, This Redeemer here pointing at Hajar with an unarmed hand Would like to give you a chance to redeem yourself and avoid a pointless fight. So he will give you a chance to surrender your weapon and leave this place at once while we go and kill this Carrion King. You don't even have to convert to his Holy Fire Goddess in order to take that new health insurance plan. So what will it be boys? Leave and stay alive or Die here and now?
Diplo: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar is both amused and appalled at Grim's lack of faith. However, he doesn't attempt to sabotage the tiefling's success in diplomacy.
Sarenrae, thank you for working through Grim this day, lives were spared

![]() |

Bah, clax dout vrantvrakic vur jaseve! Wux re thric drongilt aldoer persvek nomeno goawy.
Shouts Raj, banging his staff on the ground for emphasis.
Previously...
That stair case doesn't look safe at all, but I have a feather fall spell and these boots will let me walk on the walls. Maybe I can find something useful up there. He starts walking up the wall.

Kronus Deathmaw |

Kronus is confused that the group and this "Sarenrae", would allow enemies to live. Granted this were weaklings.. they should be made to submit or ignored. He gives the Trogs a death-stare as they go by then turn s to the group.
" The Trogs.. Enemies, Your 'Sarenrae' offers this 'mercy' to everything? Is she that strong?; Well I guess they were weak, a slaughter wounldnt have been worth while.. only strong enemies are worthy.. "

Hajar nar Jundi |

These Trogolodytes did not serve Rovagug, they laired here as a matter of convenience. The servants of the Rough Beast do not gain quarter...

Kronus Deathmaw |

Kronus gives off a Haggard Hyena-chuckle/laugh at Hajar's response.. ending in a toothy smirk. " So slay them to the last? Then I sure hope The Carrion King is a true worshiper.. for unlike you, follower of Dawnflower, I intend to do far more than.. 'Let him go' ... "
His smirk curdles to a snarl " She is waiting, The more time I waste the more he could be claiming her for his own and dangling my necklace along his neck like some PRIZE..I'll make sure to Rip off his ears during... " visibly angered and in thought that fuels that anger more.

Iryna Marita Pantaeva |

"Or, Raj, their leaders will remember this mercy and become something more than they were."
To Kronus, "Be assued that the Carrion King will not be offered easy quarter as these Troglodytes were. His reputation requires more...stern... means. There are three creatures so unqualifiably evil that they deserve no redemption: the Undead, Demons in all their forms, and true worshippers of Rovagug. This is Her strength that She gives to each of us. As the Sun rises, so does our future."
Iryna smiles knowingly at Grim but says nothing. Truly, a servant of Sarenrae regardless of his 'claims.'

Kronus Deathmaw |

Kronus grunts and cracks his neck his frustration seemingly having a new target " Do we have to go through there? And If so..you ready? " his knuckles popping as he readjusts the placement of his claws ripping out the tooth of the Trollodyte beneath him with a sickening disregard for its corpse.
