Hamzah Hamas Al Dajannah |

When the scouts get back, let's head in on the west side.
"Well done Akim. It will be good to gaze upon a sculpture of The Dawnflower. If she has stood this long, it is hopeful that she will stand again within the monastery welcoming those that seek hope in the desert."

Al-Akim Naziri |

I don't have knowledge religion, but if it is a statue of Sarenrae, I would probably recognize it as she is my deity
Having satisfied himself that the area is safe enough for the rest of the party, Al-Akim exfiltrates the monastery and rejoins his companions.
"I think it is safe enough for you to rejoin me. I found several Pugwampi tracks however, and those of a primate, Baboon maybe. If we are careful, there are some rooms that we can check further. I did not advance beyond them because I feel it is safer than being surprised alone."
Turning to Hajar and Hamzah, "Brothers, there is a statue inside, and I believe it to be our lady the Dawnflower. However, it is quite worn and I am unsure, you should take a look once we are inside. Perhaps the lady will bless our liberation of these grounds."
If the party follows, Naziri leads them back into chamber A13.

Hajar nar Jundi |

Sir wizard, Yes I can sense the presence of evil in its myriad forms. I will work to ensure that such desecration is ended.
in a conference today so roll for me if you need to dave

Hajar nar Jundi |

Brother Hamzah, this will be my penance for my failure with Rukk. This monastary will be cleansed. Pugwampis you say Akim. These creatures dare to defile a sacred place.
Hajar flushes crimson.
Friends, please allow me to give these fiends one chance to depart before we destroy them. They will undoubtably refuse and my vengeance will be swift.
Hajar will follow Akim & Grim. Conference back underway, roll for me if neccesary.

Leyli Wildspeaker |

After Grim and Al-Akim shared to the party what they have seen,
Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
"Those are indeed, pugwampi tracks. I've never expected them to be so prevalent considering everybody wants them gone. I will trust your guidance on where we should go next."

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

A short set of wide ceremonial steps leads down to a cavernous chapel in which the congregants would gather for sermons in happier times. The vibrant orange and red starburst of Sarenarae still stands behind a film of rusted rainwater and dirt along the north wall overlooking the collapsed altar. Between the stairs and the altar stand dozens of old marble benches, many overturned and even more broken into two or more pieces. A wide walkway bisects the pews, leading directly to the raised altar. Here and there a few clumps of the original red carpet along this thoroughfare hang on against rot and neglect.
Above the center of the chaple, dangling about ten feet from the floor, hangs a cluster of gnoll skulls in various stages of decay. Strung together like a ghoulish candelabra of twine and bone, the boulder-sized ornament hangs from the wooden rafters about twenty fee above the ground.
You notice that the ceiling rafters in the southeast portion of the chapel upper works have been papered over like a wasp's nest in an interwoven mish-mash of soiled tapestries, tablecloths, altar runners, and other bits of salvaged cloth, creating sort of a hanging tent in the rafters above.
With such a large group of you coming this time stealth is not an option.
The knotted rope suspending the gnoll-skull candelabra jerks and jumps as a runty little creature dressed in crude furs scrambles from far above to gain a foothold on the swaying skulls. With a squeaky laugh, this gremlin casts a rude gesture in the party's direction.
The Pugwampi are in the rafters 20 feet off the ground (2d6 falling damage) and the patchwork net of cloth and ropes they have created for themselves. You see a ladder that could be used to climb up to fight the creatures on your left. (A2a)
If you roll any d20's in this room roll 2 instead and use the lowest result.
The Pugwampi pull out their tiny bows and start to fire at you laughing the entire time. (If i did not make it clear before Pugwampi are size category Tiny)
6 Pugwampi

You figured out they are Fey so you know they have DR-2/Cold Iron
No Supprise Round. Round 1 FIGHT!

Leyli Wildspeaker |

How many pugwampis?
"My dear friend Hajar, may I suggest that you do your penance rather quick. Otherwise we all will be joining those skulls decorating this room."

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Hajar steps forward and has Gunk translate his words for him. He tells the Pugwampi that if they leave this place peacefully then no harm will come to them and that they have his word in the name of Sarenrae. Gunk yells this up into the rafters for Hajar.
In response the Pugwampi throw back a copy of The Book of Light and Truth(Sarenrae's holy book that they must have found in the monastery) that they have defecated on and set on fire.
I think that will give Hajar cause to show no mercy =P

Al-Akim Naziri |

Al-Akim, unable to get a clear view of the Pugwampi from below the grim candelabra draws his bow and moves back up the steps in an attempt to gain elevation and a clearer line of sight.
"You will not desecrate this holy place! Lady of light, guide my arrow!"
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Despite the improved view of his target, Naziri's hands are shaking from his quick movement up the stairs. His arrow flies wide of the Pugwampi, clanging into the rafters and falling back uselessly to the stone floor.

Hamzah Hamas Al Dajannah |

Hamzah's face contorts, "Hajar, Akim, The sun and the fury be upon them." He pulls out his sling, loads it with a bullet, and lets it fly at a Pugwampi.

No you are out of the aura just take a -2 to hit because you have such a strange angle. That goes for anyone also. You are only 30 feet away though.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Three Pugwampi Shoot there bows at Hajar. The other 3 are laughing too much at the burning book to do anything.
Bow1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Bow2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Bow3: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
All but one of the arrows fly off harmlessly.
One of the tiny bolts hits Hajar but does not pierce his armor.
One of the Pugwampi suffers bad luck on his own and looses his footing and falls 20 feet.
Fall: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
His fey blood stops him from taking any damage as he just bounces off the floor looking confused.
Round 1. 5 Pugwampi in the rafters 10 feet apart. 1 Pugwampi on the ground.

Climb (Leyli): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Climb (Leyli): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Climb (Furball): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Climb (Furball): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
"Let's go Furball, handle the pugwampis on the right, I'll try to get personal with the ones on the left." says Leyli as she and Furball climbs the rafters on the left.
Is the space big enough to offer flank? If we can then +2 bonus to attack roll.
"Stop this evil deeds," says Leyli as she slashes her way through with her scimitar.
Scimitar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Scimitar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Leyli is forced to use the ladder to climb and even that is harrowing due to the unluck aura.
Furball is unable to climb do to bad luck.
Leyli once you reach the top of the ladder you see a thin balcony that once overlooked the chapel floor, some twenty feet below you. This balcony you are standing on is in very bad shape now. Two rows of tall-backed wooden choir chairs dominate the southern reach of the balcony, which hugs the chapel's concave walls. The balcony then falls away-collapsed for a span of perhaps ten feet-just on the other side of the choir area. To your left, rickety time-worn wooden rafters stretch across the whole chapel. Two huge sections of these rafters have been engulfed in a sort of nest comprised of a patchwork of random bits of cloth.
(You climbed up a ladder. You are standing on an old broken balcony that the only thing left is the area next to the wall you climbed up and some choir chairs. To get to where the Pugwampi are you will have to jump out 10 feet and land on a rafter. Acrobatics check X2 to do this.)

Leyli Wildspeaker |

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
"This balcony is broken. Be prepared!" says Leyli as she jumps towards the rafters.
What's the DC for a ladder climb? Freaking unholy aura. Spread your holiness my holy friends.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Leyli deftly jumps across to the beam. She attacks the first Pugwampi but barely misses the tiny thing.
1d100 ⇒ 74
The rafter under them breaks from the weight of Leyli Not saying she is fat....
Reflex Save1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Reflex Save2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Leyli is unable to catch herself on the way down and falls to the ground.
Falling Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6
She takes a bad fall as she cracked a few ribs.
(To climb a ladder in the unluck aura DC 5)
Reflex Save Pug: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
The Pugwampi is able to jump off the rafter and on to the balcony where Leyil was moments before.

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar charges the Pugwampi on the ground.
attack1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
attack2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 = 8

Furball (Str): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Furball (Str): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Would I be able kick that ladder to cause the pugwampi to fall?

Hajar nar Jundi |

in a conference all day =/ i'll be in it till sunday night so...
Hajar will ensure the pugwampi on the ground isn't moving. If it isn't he will sheathe his falchion and draw his shortbow.
thats my move action and standard action. I know that you aren't tracking that Dave, if you wanna let me attack with the bow I'll roll below in case
bow1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
bow2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Round 1 Raj grimaced as the repulsive creatures tossed the desecrated holy book down. He wasn't a fan of any of the gods, but sheesh, show a little respect... He backs away from the main fray towards Al-Akim, and pulls out a certain small bag with a candle in it, and as he chants, it lights, then blasts the light off into a celestial eagle that appears directly in front of one of the Pugwampi in the rafters.
Round 2 His spell cast, Raj decides to conserve his resources for the undead he's expecting, and pulls out his crossbow and loads it. Meanwhile, the celestial eagle begins to glow brightly as it tears into the Pugwampi.
Assume all of the following attacks have Smite Evil, which is an additional +1 to all attack and damage rolls below. (Thanks Hajar for the clarification.)
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Hajar nar Jundi |

Smite uses the birds modifier but the minimum is +1. Pretty sure it doesn't limit the aura. Also, pretty sure these guys have DR 5/cold iron like most fey

Hajar nar Jundi |

interesting, never heard of DR 2, I just know the fey template...as I ran a buncha fey against my irl tabletop game. At low levels the cold iron requirement is a killer.

Nemaides |

Round 1 Revenge! crowed Nemaides, who takes off into the rafters and charges at the nearest pugwampi, attempting to push it off.
(With Charge)
Bullrush: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Bullrush: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
If successful, Nemaides will push him off the rafters.
EDIT: Looks like he succeeded. :D
Round 2 Having sent one pugwampi reeling (hopefully to its death), Nemaides wasn't satisfied yet. He wheeled around and came charging again, this time behind one of the pugwampi.
Hoping for flat-footed CMD while the pug is busy shooting at Hajar, but then again after knocking down one pugwampi he might be paying more attention to Nemaides...
Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Bullrush: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Bullrush: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Hajar nar Jundi |

heck no, I'm not complaining. DR 2 is waaaay easier to face at lvl 1. My irl guys were level 3 and had some serious troubles. Also, Nemaides is tiny so gets a -8 or -4 can't remember exactly to CMB just fyi Raj.

![]() |

I edited in Nemaides' round 2 into the above post, but if the first Bullrush succeeded then the second one did as well; I'll go ahead and roll for it here. I'll include the DR.
Fall-Damage: 2d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 1) - 2 = 3
Also, if the pugs have SR I need to make a caster level check for the eagle to overcome it (one check for the whole spell).
CL-check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
If the above roll results in a 7 or greater the spell functions as normal.

Hajar nar Jundi |

@ Grim are you in the rafters? I don't think any pugwampi are on the ground.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

There will be one from the bull rush. Also Im cool to assume Grim threw his dagger from behind one of the pugwampi. It missed regardless although a back attack may give more bonuses....I will check on it in the morning.
If Gunk does not take his turn by the time I wake up I got something good planed for him.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Gunk:
Gunk tosses one of his fire bombs into the rafters (its such a big target he can't miss) the whole mess of cloth and wood ignites immediately. The fire does no real damage to the structure of the building. It burns out almost as soon as it starts.
Bomb: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
The whole thing comes tumbling down pugwampi with it.
Falling Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9
Between the fire and the fall 10 Pugwampi fall to the ground not moving.
Everyone make a Reflex save DC 15 to avoid falling burning debris.
Debris: 1d6 ⇒ 4
The noise from this surely alerted anything else in the complex. You have 2 rounds to prepare...
Round 2 actions now.

Leyli Wildspeaker |

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
"Watch out!" says Leyli warning everybody of the falling debris.
===Round 2===
"If there's pugwampis here, do you guys think that Gnolls are here too? With all that commotion, we pretty much roused up this place. Heal all the wounded, let's get ready for the their reinforcements."
Leyli will search the nest if possible.

Hajar nar Jundi |

reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Hajar being in the middle part of the room fails to dodge the falling debris.
hp 5/12
For hs action he will move to the steps area, not quite into Area A1.
Hajar spits on the ground.
A thousand corpses to the defilers of my lady's holy place.
Looking for a smiteable target =)
