Lynn Lashes out at the creature in front of her Striking a slash that doesn't feel like it penetrates as deeply as it should. One of the creatures hands darts to the wound, taking a bit of blood and licking it off it's fingers with a wicked smile as the wound starts to close up.

Quick Stepping towards Lynn the Orc strikes out with his dagger. A russel starts to happen in the camp

Perception: 1d20 + 11 - 5 ⇒ (8) + 11 - 5 = 14 -1 for every 10 feet away so I am guessing -5. Normally the DC to awake to combat is 10. Would he be awake?

Somehow we seem to miss-communicate a lot. It's typically a DC 10 perception check to wake up while sleeping IF there is combat. Since there is combat I rolled a perception check, taking a -5 for range, which I made up but seems about right if I am 5 tents away. I am not sure as a tent is not a standard unit of measure. But most tents are 10' or less wide. So I rolled the check and made a 14. I propose that means the combat would awaken me. But its your call.

Jink moves around the tent, and casts protection from evil on Lynn.

Lynn is backed against the tear in the tent, a slight breeze making the new entrance hole flap

Azrael sleeps but not soundly. Something undone tugs at him. He was well aware that enemies were close when he laid down to rest. The noise of battle and then Lynn's voice drags him up to consciousness. Alert almost instantly he stands and arms himself, taking a 5' step out of the tent to look about. All he can do the round he wakes.

Balthazar moves from his Tent to the open one that Tink and Lynn were Sharing. Seeing a creature he casts a spell.

The Orc steps back away from the opening out of Lynn's sight, raising his dagger in the air he unleashes a clout of unholy energy in the tent.

Channel Negative Will DC 17 for half: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9
The tent walls won't stop the wave so eveyone is affected.

Lynn tears through the top of the Tent becoming mildly entangled.

You can as a standard action remove the tent from around you, until then you are entangled by only half the negative modifiers

Striding forward Azrael sees Lynn burst through the top of the tent. He might even see that she is wounded and certainly sees she is in melee combat. he is hit by the wave of negative energy and knows the type of enemy they face. Swiftly smiting the enemy he fires a single deadly arrow at the orc.

You didn't tell if Lynn did hit the enemy. But the damage doesn't look like it did. If it did not, I get to roll an additional 1d6 with a mystic surge from the weapons mystic points.


The tent didn't fall but since you crit I will give it to you

Azrael sees a slight hole in the tent and draws a bead on the vampire, loosing an arrow it strikes deep an hard. The Orc turn's its head and hisses.

The Vampire turns to mist that dissipates into the air around everyone.

Lynn's attack goes through the mist that was once the vampire, the mist flies out of the wreckage of the tent and off into the now dawning day

"I can forgive them not detecting the intrusion, up until it sliced a hole in our tent. I also am not particularly happy that none of them bothered doing anything once they knew it was here and it was visible." Tink says still invisible

Its not reasonable for guardsmen to be able to detect such creatures as vampires, especially ones that can cast spell. You must not be thinking clearly Lynn. Did that thing drain you?

Looking up through your now torn tent Lynn can see the sky start to lighten.

about 3 hours till dusk, probably about 4 AM


Irabeth, with Aniva and a group of guards rush to your tent.

"What happened? IS the Sword of Valor all right?" Irabeth has her sword and shield on but no armor, just her surcoat.

Aniva bends down , moving the remains of the tent around. She makes a small noise that draws everyones attention. Moving the tent back you can see the two Paladin guards who were stationed outside, are dead with 2 small holes in their neck. Faces pale, their bodies are nearly drained of all vital fluids.

"A Vampire here as well? The demons have everything at their disposal." Aniva says
