Azrael double moves to be able to see Green.

DM Raltus |

So Lynn can fly again, if you do I need a roll
Round 4
Lynn, Don, Balthazar
Demons (Y)
Azrael, SteelGate, Tink <---
The Demon sees everyone moving towards it and Teleports away. From a top the tower the group can see The Last of your Armies making their way across the Bridge and setting up.
Irabeth is leading from the front, Aniva and Aron have slinked off to the sides to watch for anyone coming from the side. As the Armies Line up to do the final battle to clear out the inner court yard a Loud Cry can be heard, From the tower of the Citadel a Large Flying creature can be seen.
This is a Chimera but unlike one anyone has heard of.

Tink_ |

"That thing is some sort of chimera... but something is off about it."
He pauses for a moment before moving over to Azrael and Don, "Can you pull that thing out of the air?" he asks the two before casting a spell. Haste on Azrael, Don, and Tink, and holding the remaining 3 charges. "We need to make sure it doesn't get to the army. It can breath elemental matter and decimate large swathes of our force."

Any opponent you hit with a melee or ranged attack loses the benefits of regeneration and fast healing for 1 round. In addition, if you score a critical hit against the target, it loses the benefit of its damage reduction for 1 round. A creature whose regeneration can’t be suppressed or ignored (such as the tarrasque) is immune to this effect.

It sounds like we cannot fire at the creature until it closes some? Assuming he cannot fire at the enemy...
Unsure of what type of breath weapon the creature might have Azrael takes cover in the stairway.

Read this to fly, you have to make a roll to go over half your speed
Don's attacks bounce off the thick hide of the beast, 2 of Azrael's shots hit the beast.
The shots don't penetrate as deep as Azrael would have hoped

Lynn Warhaven |

I read it.
You generally need only make a Fly check when you are attempting a complex maneuver. Without making a check, a flying creature can remain flying at the end of its turn so long as it moves a distance greater than half its speed.
Also: Move less than half speed and remain flying DC10
I think you got it the wrong way. You don't roll for > half speed, you roll for half speed. And this half speed stuff only applies when you're flying by using wings. As the fly spell says I can rise up at half speed. Which is not possible at all with the fly skill. In my reading, the fly spell is better and includes what levitate gives you.
But besides that - I'm going in a straight line at full speed towards an enemy that comes towards me. I don't see where that qualifies as complex maneuver by anything listed in the fly skill.

DM Raltus |

Yep sorry my bad, I just didn't read it correctly.
Lynn slices into the creature, drawing it's ire.

Crushing Jaws (Ex) If Chimera hits a creature with both
bite attacks, it can expend one use of mythic power to
savage its prey as an immediate action. This immediately
deals 2d6+1d8+7 points of damage as it chews on the victim.
In addition, the victim must succeed at a DC 19 Fortitude

The save DC is Strength-based
Staggered: A staggered creature may take a single move action or standard action each round (but not both, nor can he take full-round actions). A staggered creature can still take free, swift and immediate actions. A creature with nonlethal damage exactly equal to its current hit points gains the staggered condition.

I am waiting to see Lynn's reaction to the attack, and her save, before attacking. I see the creature on the side of the map but Lynn is no where near it, so trying to figure out where it and Lynn are. Once Azrael figures this is not a run of the mill creature he will smite it.

Lynn, on the map you look to be on or even in the tower while the creature looks to be a good 100 feet away from you. I sorta need that resolved to know if I have a clean shot at it or not. Is it in melee with you where you are, you with it where it is, or are the two of you somewhere in between?

Azrael 5' adjusts for a clearer shot, declares a Smite on the creature as a swift action and fires 4 arrows. The smite should bypass all DR. If this creature counts as an evil dragon then the first hit does an additional 6

Note that litany of righteousness is a second level spell and not availably to Azrael until he hits level 7. It is quite a nice spell though. :)

from mythic adventures:
DR/Epic: A type of damage reduction, DR/epic can be
overcome only by a weapon with an enhancement bonus of +6

abilities also count as epic for the purposes of overcoming
damage reduction if the total bonus value of all of their

I am still unsure about a few things here and am trying to make good decisions about what will likely be Azrael's last turn. No way he will survive even a single round of full attacks, and certainly not two rounds since the thing has duel initiative. Here are my questions: 1) How many of my 4 arrows hit? And Duel init does not necessarily mean the creature goes twice in a row. 2) What is the actual initiative order? 3) Other than not bypassing DR is my smite working in all other aspects? I will l most likely step back and fire BUT I worry about its reach.
