Just like in meat-space, there are no requirements to be a GM. What I'd recommend is:

1. Play a few PbP games to get a sense of different styles and techniques.
2. Pick a repeatable scenario for your first game to GM so that you can invite experienced GMs to play and offer you pointers or help when you need it (being a repeatable increases the pool of potential people who can join to play).
3. Read GM Numbat's guide on PbP GMing.
4. Ask for someone's slide deck for the scenario you're going to run (someone is bound to have one already so that you don't need to make it from scratch--you can always practice making one from scratch later).

Any repeatable scenarios you would recommend to start with? I've played a few quests and I'm in the process of finishing up a few scenarios currently, so not the most pbp experience but I would like to start thinking about giving it a go!

You may consider starting with a quest or bounty as they are nice and short so provide an easy entry point.

I agree with starting on a quest. There are repeatable quests (Quest 1 is repeatable, and level 1-4).

If you really want to start on a full scenario, I personally like 1-06 the best of the repeatables.

Yeah quest definitely seems like a better place to start. I think I have the pdf for Q1 from the humble bundle, so I'll give it a look over! Anyone got slides I could use for that when I decide to run it?

I ran it on VTT for GenCon, but I'm pretty sure I ran it again on PbP.

I can set up slides without too much trouble. It's on my list to run too - building credits for my 2007 in the hope the gillman archetype comes out.

As for 1-06, I'm currently running it pbp on these forums.

I am on of those that are waiting for my Gameday games to wind down, then I will be starting to GM a few tables (depending on interest) of a repeatable or one of the others I have played.

You have no idea how much I would love to, but I don't have any characters who have reached level 3 yet and don't want to play this with a pregen.

I am recruiting for 2-06 The Crashing Wave which is Tier 3-6 and is repeatable. Note that I am trying something new-- I will be attempting to replace Google Slides with a FoundryVTT server. More info on that in my recruitment thread, but something to be aware of since it will be different.

I don't see a Repeatable tag on the Paizo sales page for the scenario. Too bad; it was a lot of good old fashioned roleplaying fun.
