Both of my games are now full, but in case people are unaware, there is a whole spreadsheet full of recruiting games starting in the next few hours!

Gameday IX (link to recruitment spreadsheet, link to convention announcement) begins on September 1, which is in, like, 12 minutes (fun fact: the PbP time zone is UTC so all of us colonial rebels get a head start), although I imagine that some GMs won't get around to making a first post until it's September 1st their local time.

Column J indicates whether the game is still recruiting or is closed.

I count 16 PFS2 games that are publicly recruited, PbP on paizo.com, and are still open. Some are Level 3-6 or 5-8, but there are a lot of Level 1-4s.

Head start? Meh, you should be in the land where the sun rises and where Gameday starts at the sensible time of 9 in the morning!

So, I have a 2e game that has gotten zero sign ups. It is now well into 9/1. Do I need to report to the PBP team that my table didn't fire?

Verdant Wheel

There are bounties that will empty out in about a week and a half. I'd wait and then repost your game here.

Hmm

Given the more lax time limits of pbp conventions, I'd say it's not too much of a worry it your table starts in a week or two.

Will Ilmakis please check in to Citadel of Corruption

Paging:

-Nenyath Ravenstar > Half-elf (?) Freedom Fighter Champion (Pharasman Redeemer) 1
-Darg > Human (Ulfen) Gladiator Fighter (?) 2?
-Brayka > Goblin (Unbreakable) Gladiator Champion (Caydenian Liberator) 1

Please Check In for (#1-03) "Escaping the Grave"!

Attention Achievement point seekers! Yes I'm looking at you.

My second table of 1-14 Lions of Katapesh for gameday, a repeatable had so many sign ups I decided to split it in two tables for a third game of Katapesh. Did I say repeatable? Yes that is a good way to rack up ACP. The game ended up getting seven people to sign up. Each table will have 3 and 4 players, unless some people play in both tables.

Anyway, I have been asked if I can get an extra person or two. Just post in the recruitment thread and I'll divide up the tables later. This game will start as soon as 3 of the quests/bounties I'm playing are done, that way, people have characters freed up and more bandwidth.

If you'll have me, I'd like to join up as well. However, be warned that this would be my first attempt at PbP, so bear with me, if I don't get everything right the first time :).

I'm going to whip up a brand-new level 1 character to play as all of my characters in level range have actually played 1-14 before.

You can join albadeon and Ocularus

@albadeon - if this is your first time to PbP you may find some useful information in these slides. I put them together for a largish group introduction. They are not complete but do cover a lot of the basics.

Any characters of levels 3-6 who could not make it for the start of the Gameday are still welcome to join me in introducing some hobgoblins to the Society!

Do we also do playtests in PbP? Interested in playtesting the Summoner class. If it's not possible in PbP, could someone lead me to where I can try it out?

Sometimes it is allowed and sometimes it isn't. James said they were still working out the details on if Secrets of Magic Playtest would be sanctioned.

It is not whether it is allowed in PbP. For this lodge, it is a question of whether it is allowed in PFS. So far, no.

However, there may be other PF2 PbP games that are not PFS testing or allowing the use of playtest material in the wider forums. Check the generic online campaign recruitment forum.

For people wondering about Organized Play integration: We're currently working out some final considerations as to whether and to what extent the playtest will be integrated with Pathfinder Society. We're aware of the short time span for the playtest and will have more guidance by the end of this week. Thanks for your patience!

Hi everyone, update here:

Given the short playtest duration, Covid-related limited play environments, and the online convention lineup that falls during this playtest, we have decided against using the magus and summoner playtest classes in official Pathfinder Society games.

One of the best ways to playtest classes is to push them to their limits—essentially, to try to "break" them, then report where and how they broke to guide revisions—which can be a little at odds with Organized Play, where you might be meeting people for the first time when you sit down at a convention table. Therefore, if you’re interested in playtesting these classes, we encourage you to build test characters and play them in other games, which can include playing PFS scenarios/bounties outside the official Organized Play program.

No matter how you play, please respond to the design team’s surveys to tell them your thoughts!

With that said, there may be non-PFS games recruiting in the various recruitment forums here on paizo and elsewhere.

You also may get a chance to playtest in a game from this lodge if it's a standalone adventure (what used to be called a module), since the GM sets the rules then.

Your best bet for that is probably Little Trouble in Big Absalom. Hard to see a PbP of Plaguestone or The Slithering being done in time.

DoubleGold, this is a play-by-post lodge. Playing via google slides in real time is considered a virtual tabletop (vtt). The Organized Play Online discord server has an active virtual tabletop player base, and there is a dedicated channel for these advertisements (#sign-up-links_vtt_pfs2). If you post there you likely will have more success. Best of luck!

I'm looking for a replacement GM for myself in Little Trouble in Big Absalom. My mental bandwidth has been pretty hampered of late, and it's not fair to my players.

Is there any GM who would be willing to take over my game?

Thanks,
Hmm
