Your fingers run over silky cloth but there is brittle bone under the fabric, the object that bounced off your thigh feels like a skull as your fingers prone the eye sockets.

The walls are so smooth your bitten finger nails don't even catch an edge, it is like the walls have been perfectly sanded. You start to wonder how long your survive inside this contained area...will the breathable air run out. Is that how the skeleton died? It does seem as if it is getting stuffy in the space or is that just nerves and emotion?

Andrea starts pushing the walls and then searches the skeleton to see if there is anything on it.Walls are sanded, floor is wood. Am I in a box? Maybe trapped in a space behind the caninet? Andrea thumps on the walls

Andrea, Part 2:

The skeleton has a necklace on that feels like it has some disc about the size or a large coin on it. The disc feel hard. The fabric is silky but worn.

Andrea takes the necklace but as she cannot see it or use her magic she has no way of identifying it and is not about to put on an unknown necklace.

Andrea stretches to see if she can touch the ceiling.

Andrea attempts once again after focusing her thoughts. She feels along the door, her breath held as she attempts to feel the slightest breeze, fingers pressing into the grain. She works over the walls, into every corner and even stands upon her pack to try to touch the ceiling.

Azreal reappears, "Daniel...I discussed the model of the house with Talbard and he suggested it was a spell focus that permitted the wizard to amplify his spells. Talbard believes there was a dimensional anchor in place and a false vision that was active since once the model was broken he could scry inside the upper floors." He takes a deep breath, "Protect that ash with your lives...it is some sort of key we'll need to smear in out eyes at some point."

He begins to pull out a few items from a satchel, "Here's are five flour bombs we came up with for the invisible people and for seeing footprints. Your brother gave me 4 daylight spells he was able to get and Areal sends these 5 (CSW) and one lesser restoration potions."

He looks around, "News is there is fleet on the way."

"Hey, where is Andrea?"

The hound pulls hard at the door but nothing happens. He ends up standing looking at a door that won't open.

Andrea as you were searching the man you noticed that he is shoeless. Suddenly you are tossed against the wall and then the floor. nonlethal damage: 2d8 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8

Andrea grunts in pain. What was that?! Andra is very confused. Shoeless? What does that mean? A shoeless man? Andrea pants. [b]This has to be a prison, a prison for important prisoners. Why would a common person ever be found here? He has silk clothes and this necklace. A prison like this would need to be warded from scrying and keeping it dark and silenced would keep the prisoner from escaping.[/i]

Not knowing what else to do, Andrea tries breaking the necklace, reasoning it might be a kind of shackle that keeps the place dark and silenced.

With the door, apparently not working, Azreal visualizes Andrea in his mind and attempts to GREATER TELEPORT to the cleric.

Azreal blinks out then reappears a few moments later. "I don't need not have seen the destination, but in that case I must have at least a reliable description of the place to which I'm are teleporting. I have no idea where Andrea is located, plus it could be warded like the house was shielded."

Orsin as you study the cabinet you deduce that it's a magical box....some sort of trap that apparently has some magic aura or nondetection spell masking or covering it's magic nature. Could be that she was teleported to another location or she could be inside the cabinet. Since Azreal didn't disappear, nor Daniel, when they tried open or bang on it it may only hold, or transport, one person at a time.

This is beyond my mundane arts.

But why boots? Some form of travel? Their magical aura may be masked, like that of the wardrobe.

Gerard removes his own boots and puts on the ones found in the room.

The boots are a high quality but there doesn't appear to be anything unusual about them, nor do they detect magic.

So, since it seems magical, Orsin or Em can either of you dispel it?

Daniel had learned enough to be called a dabbler in the arcane. Even learned 3 arcane spells. But this was beyond him. Whomever had made this would have been skilled and thought to ward the trap from detection. Could a simple dispel even work?

Andrea you feel a sharp pain and take 22 HP of lethal damage to your feet/legs. Then suddenly what you thought was floor cracks open and Azreal is there holding a bloody tipped greatsword.

Azreal when you jab and wedge the blade into the door seam you hear a snap as the door open. The tip of your blade is bloody. Andrea is laying on her side dripping blood from her feet. There is a skeleton in the cabinet with her, it is dressed in fine silk pajamas and he is without his footwear.

Andrea that necklace has black scale attached to it, the chain can be mended. The amulet provides: +2 natural armor, DR 5 against acid.
