Rules:

Posting demand non-combat is once every two days. It can be alot sooner, especially if people are dialoging between each other and/or the DM, but i like to keep it at 1post/2day to allow everyone, including the dm the ability to allow for real life to occur.

Posting during combat: The way i run combat on pbp is simple. everyone has 24 hours to post, starting from 12 CST and going to 12 cst the next day (i take lunch at 12 noon so i do my postings then). I allow all pcs to post first (up to noon) and then i make my posting for npcs and do my dice rolls then. I will write up a brief summary of combat and then the clock resets, allowing you to post your next round actions.

aside from that, feel free to either post here or PM me any questions you have.

How much of the information in that dragon286 can be considered cannon/common knowledge?

Anything you can think of that is important that would be common knowledge? I know most of us have read the books at one pint in time, how much of that stuff is known to our characters?

Dropped Exotic:Musket and picked up Point Blank, seems if I am going to shoot a bow with any amount of skills the fates have decreed that I must learn it sooner than most anything else, so I may as well get that over with.

Two dedicated archers in a small group. If the GM uses close-quarters maps, much, we're in trouble.

Well we will be good in the woods which is our preferred area anyway.. I recon both of us archer aint too comfy being crowded in as we are within the adventure atm.

Magelin is seeking a way to become one of the elder druids, so will not be following the path of the bow his whole life. Hes hoping to learn one day to become a wizard and bond with his bow as he has read histories of his people once being able to do that. But as he is of one of the smaller families he was trained as a ranger, not a wizard because there was more of a need.

Its been asked how much is considered common knowledge for those who have read the books. I am going to say that its best left to a knowledge or gather info rolls.

Well, as a human with 13 INT, he has common +1 bonus language. Given that Tyrsis is slightly closer to the west than the east (especially as separated by the rainbow lake and its feeding rivers), Elven would be slightly more likely a language for him to know. He likely hasn't ranged farther than the Duln forest or the Shroudslip or Lowlands of Clete.

the common tongue is just that...common. it has no link to the federation. but, i can say that there is a southern Drawl associated with the federation, so ill rule that there is common, and federation common.

Well, I used half+1 to update the character sheet for now, but can roll (or whatever) and correct easily enough.

was wondering how everyones holiday went.

thankfully hassle-free. the wife and i dont get too big into making a huge meal when its just the two of us, but a friend of ours made a turkey and some sides so we made stuffing and squash and went over to their place. 4 days off of work coupled with some good games on sale on Steam made the weekend go by quite nicely.

Wife got some steroid shots in her lower spine late Wednesday, so we didn't take the 5~6 hour drive to either my parents or hers. Our kids are all MUCH further away than that, so we just stayed in our apartment and chilled.

I made her ham. Well, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. Sourdough bread, honey-mesquite smoked ham, smoked Havarti and muenster cheeses. It took me a long time to get her to try one of those, actually, but now they are one of her primary comfort foods.

We spent a bunch of time playing video games together. Been pretty relaxing, honestly.

dolin,, that happened to my mom on Monday. we went to a cousins for dinner.. first year in my whole life that mom wasn't feeling well enough to host thanksgiving dinner. Cousin did a good job.

I started dming my 3rd wrath table yesterday, its pbp here. Thinking bout maybe dropping one of my face-face wrath tables.. everyone ditched this weeks session without even calling.. and ive known them all 20+ years, they all are an hour early for any 2e game but its almost like herdin cats to get a 6 hour pathfinder session.

are we still playing?

im in the same boat. its been years since I have read any of the books.

hey, sorry everyone. i thought my posting went through last week, but i see that it didnt. i have to cancel this campaign because last week my boss was in a car accident and i had to pick up his work load, and now my grandfather died, so i am attending his funeral and helping my grandmother with things around the house.
apologies for not double checkign the thread to make sure that my original posting's properly posted.
