Tееla wrote:the full list is here, with 68.16 gp being the total price including cookware and the fishing set.
But I don't mind paying 70.76 for things like vendor margins and delivery and that kind of stuff.
I was working off the shopping list tab on the Loot Tracker which includes many of the same things plus more. The total of the BUY items is 71.76 now, so it must include some things not on yoru post.
Will you, as quartermaster, verify that list on the tracker tab has what you want? We will also have to think about who carries certain things. Most don't matter, but in-combat rounds items must have an identified carrying member, or they can't be used.
I am going to assume that unless there is objection or amendment by tomorrow evening, that the list on the Teela Loot Tracker tab called Shopping List with a total of 71.76gp of BUY indicated items is the final list of the things you bought before leaving Restov. After that time, you will have to come up with other items on your own, from the land, or returns to towns etc big enough to have supplies that you seek.
Happy to listen to amendments additions or subtractions until then or an ongoing discussion after while you travel.

DM DoctorEvil |

This will be the final list then. Remember that you cannot use items in combat rounds situations unless they are specifically carried by you.
If you have things you want to specifically carry, shout it out now, otherwise I will assume the items and the weight is distributed somewhat evenly among the horses and not on any specific person.

Happy belated 2025. Here's to a good one.

Alvis Naylamahal |

Some housekeeping notes:
Made a pathbuilder of what I have thinking for Alvis' build for the next few levels
Alvis current build plan to level 5, subject to change depending on what happens to him.
Alvis future build to level 5 current plan.
I'll take the compass as the best survivalist but anyone could ask to use it.
I think our rogue would be best to carry the spyglass because she can sneak as close as possible, unless at night.
Recommend that everyone carry at least one week of rations the rest on be in saddlebags.
I had two weeks rations to start with as well as a waterskin and a healing kit.
Climb kit goes to either Selina's or Alvis' saddlebags to be carried when maybe useful.
Everyone take what you want from the Shopping List and the rest in saddlebags of your choice.
Taken from shopping list:
Compass
Shovel
Crowbar
One anti plague
1 tinder twig.
Signal Whistle

Tееla |

I didn't buy tinder twigs. We got flints and steel to light fires, so I assumed that would be redundant.
I copied all items from the final shopping list into the first table in the sheet - 'All Loot'.

Selina Aldaeth |

I am sure you have all noticed my sporadic posting in the last few weeks and for that, I apologize. Well, the new year has brought new work responsibilities and I just cannot dedicate the necessary time required to this PbP. I respectfully bow out. Selina leaves the party the healing potions she was carrying and any other treasures that she was holding for the party. It was fun while it lasted. Happy gaming.

Tееla |

Welp. Two down. Technically three.
Sorry to see you go.
That said, I think we should do a recruitment run. We're in Nivkata now, so we might as well.

Alvis Naylamahal |

Yeah, I was worried about Selina's recent posting rate, and very sorry to see her leaving; her character was interesting. I second recruiting one or two new party members. I'd like to see a quick - (what happened to Selina?) post if it's not too much trouble.
Good Luck Selina, hope things calm down for you.
Is there anyone else that is having any issues with things as they are now? This would be a good time to bring it up. I like overall how things are, I think the pace can now pick up after the holidays and that housekeeping is done for now.
I know my focus has been off. I don't want to depress anyone but 2024 was a bad year for my family. In that year my youngest niece's husband lost both a sister and a mother. And on 12/30 after a year of fighting hard against stage four cancer, my eldest niece and her two teenaged children lost her husband of 25 years. I won't go on about this, but I hope people will bear with me for a while if my posts show some distraction.
Thank you DM DoctorEvil for all you've done, I know the slower pace has been concerning you. I believe we can move forward now.

Tееla |

Okay. First of all - My condolences.
Secondly - GM, I have looked at the hex map and believe I have found the one you are using in a better resolution. If you want to switch, the files are here.
Things as they are at this point - I think I will be able to post more frequently now that 2024 is behind me, so I'm okay on that front. However, I would like to hear the GM's thoughts on additional recruitment. Yeah, I would prefer more players at the table, but that's the gamemaster's call.

Quintessa Orlovsky |

Selina - Sorry to see you go :( I hope things stabilize for you and you are able to return to games at some point.
Alvis - That's terrible, I'm so sorry. It sounds like you have quite a bit weighing on you. I hope your family is able to find some peace in 2025.
On the subject of recruitment, I concur with Teela. We've lost a few and I think it's time to pick up two more.

Graham Snodgrass |

Sorry to see you depart, Selina – you're welcome at any table I play/GM any time – and sorry to hear of your family's losses, Alvis; consider this a virtual hug/comforting pat on the back/shared drink of choice.
I would agree that as a party I'd prefer at least one more player (I find 5 to be the sweet spot in most PbP games myself).

DM DoctorEvil |

I am fine to recruit others to the table. If you know someone who is a good player, its always better to have recommendations than a cold casting call. I am fine to add two more. I figure we can add them at Oleg's if you are willing to enter the wilderness with 4. If not, we can pause here, until we settle the recruits. Just post in Gameplay, if you want to move on while we search.
Thanks for the map, I think I blew the one I had up which makes the resolution poor. Will play around with it.
Sorry, Alvis, for your 2024. Hopefully the new year is better to you. I am fine with the posting rate, but will try to update daily, and hope others will as well. If you want to schedule a blitz time or a VTT session (I got a foundry license as a Christmas gift) I am amenable to that, also, but it rarely works out timing wise.
I enjoy the game, and the group dynamic so far, so I hate to see a departure, but think we can continue with this solid core, and find some new players who bring value.

Tееla |

I, personally, would prefer to recruit in Nivkata so that we can make last-minute adjustments based on the new party composition (if necessary). I will defer to a consensus, however.
No recommendations on my end. The group I play with here on the forum is fairly slow lately due to RL stuff.

Graham Snodgrass |

The handful I could recommend have already or are currently playing this one, sadly.
On a meta-game level, I'd not want to go into encounter mode with only four of us (though I expect our GM could/would adjust accordingly), but I'm not certain it makes much difference where the recruit comes from. I can see Teela's point if the player would build a different PC and play that one instead, though, based on who else joined.

Tееla |

Uh, minor question. Did Selina take her dueling sword?
I know you said she left the gear, but from a character perspective she probably would not leave it behind. But she had the single potency rune we have in the party.

Graham Snodgrass |

I agree she would not have left her dueling sword, so it makes sense we would lose that rune. But thanks to the GM for bieng iwlling to make that up. (As an aside, Graham may have interest in pursuing the Aldori blade stuff now that Selina has withdrawn, but we'll see who else comes aboard.)
Honestly, if Paizo Remastered the eldritch scoundrel Rogue archetype I'd consider rebuilding Graham to cover that role since I've loved the concept all the way back to PF1e days.
Ah well. I'm content enough with Graham as he currently is.

Graham Snodgrass |

Eldritch trickster racket, not eldritch scoundrel. My 1e mind is still bleeding over.
You got your chocolate 1e in my peanut butter 2e!

Tееla |

I think you're better off going fighter + spellcaster archetype. Depending on what you want to do with it. The spell DC progression is not better anyway.

PM sent.

Welcome, newbies!

Hey guys, thanks for picking me!
Hmm...i don't think my background as written meshes too well with the gameplay so far.

Are you looking for some collaborative feedback to help shape it? I'm sure we can help. Let me send you a PM.

Welcome to our new recruits!
PS. I do not need a keeper.
Tessa totally needs a keeper.
Welcome aboard!

"Hello Velas. Pleased to meet you. Please take this letter back to my father. You are dismissed."
Dear Father,
It has come to my attention that you’ve dispatched yet another loyal family retainer to keep tabs on me. Please do remind Velas that I am not some errant child wandering aimlessly into the wilderness, but rather, a capable woman leading an expedition of some importance.
If this is about that one regrettable incident with the hedge maze and the ill-tempered peacock, I assure you, I’ve learned my lesson. Kindly inform Velas he may turn his horse around and return to you with all haste. I shall, of course, send a full report of my accomplishments in due time, provided you refrain from sending further assistance.
High Above,
Quintessa Orlovsky
P.S. I’m fine, Father. Truly. Do tell Mother to stop fretting.

DM DoctorEvil |

I will review the builds for Velas and Faen over the weekend and ask any questions that arise. Glad to have you both here.
Velas - thanks for taking the initiative to post.
Faen - are you re-working backstory? Something a little less dark might be more fitting, but its your story. LMK what you are thinking.

Velas Galla |

FYI: I'll be traveling this afternoon and most of tomorrow.

Another FYI. I haven't had the time to get Velas' profile 100% entered. I hope to make time for that this morning. If not, the Pathbuilder link has the full mechanics.

Really just two things after my review:
What is your Ancestry Feat? It's not clear from the text or the stat block. And, I show you with 7.7gp left of your starting money, and you can add an additional 10gp to match the other PCs. Do you want any more gear or items? I see you don't have a ranged attack but maybe cantrips will suffice for that.
No rush to respond, enjoy your time away.

Debating toning it down....but leaving a body in an alley is a good motivation to skip town! But also, leaving him alive and the threat of him coming after her is also good motivation....pondering.

DM DoctorEvil |

Thanks for the reasonable integration of the new players to the story. The two newcomers do not have horses, so you may have to consider how to outfit for that. I will assume that Selina left most of the rest of the gear she was carrying when she departed.
It is mid-day in the Crossing, so you'll have to determine if you will stay here for the night or get a half-days' head start into the wilderness beyond the border.
So far, your bill at the Lusty Wench including the tip for information is at 2gp. More if you pay for additional services or gratuities.
PS: I could roleplay in-town interactions all day, and be satisfied, so probably best ot move on before I hook you into staying in the Nivakta's Crossing forever....

Alvis Naylamahal |

I thought that after the purchases there was some money left over. I guess I was mistaken. So, I'll just have Alvis also be wrong. After what he gave over that all the gear, he's very close to broke. Hope we find some cash soon after arrival.

Not sure what you mean here. The Loot Tracker shows that group as a whole has 86gp or so. A little less after Velas pays for his horse. I still show Alvis with 11.7gp, but if you want to put all that in the communal pile, I guess you can.

Alvis Naylamahal |

That is what I thought but most of that money was from the sale of the loot. When Teela went to bargain for supplies, I thought I'd made it clear that I left those funds along with all but a couple of silvers with her as my contribution to group supplies. If there was a redistribution of the remaining funds I missed it. As far as I understood it Teela has those funds in her possession, but it seems she (or her player) does not agree.
