That trope is usually played for laughs. If Rose tells Celi to knock it off, she will. But given Celi’s complete lack of ranks in Perception, I decided that she would react to Rose’s presence with the most hilariously wrong conclusion possible.

Story time. Had a closet door in my house that got locked and I didn’t have a key for it. And it cost way too much to hire a locksmith. I decided to try to pick the lock myself. Many YouTube videos later, I found that even taking 20 wasn’t going to cut it. So…I grabbed a hammer. And it still took forever, as I didn’t want to damage the door. And that’s how I learned that disable device was not a class skill for me.

But yeah. I got it off, and in doing so had a new appreciation for how tough a lock can be. Managed to do it without breaking the door and replaced it with a fingerprint lock. Made the closet more secure for valuables. That, and I wasn't going to leave the door with a giant hole where the lock used to be.

The ring is nailed to the rafters - you'd need to wriggle it a bit, but I think you could use mage hand just as easily as an actual hand, yeah.
As for taking 10... I'd say... the dogs are a little alarming, so not at the moment.

Oh, right, I forgot to say it, but Celi knows that casting prestidigitation would require a verbal component, which would be, well, audible.
Since no one heard that, either the caster isn't casting a spell, or they're potent enough to silence a cantrip... which would be a waste, and most magic users wouldn't bother.

The dice gods are balancing things out. A player in a game I'm GMing has had a very similar streak of die rolls for much longer. This is payback, I guess.

Oh, before I totally forget: Adolina and Celi may want to invest in non-mind-affecting spells (or at least spells that don't key off of Will saves) soonish. You'll be facing a lot of high Will Save opponents, so such spells' reliability is... spotty at times.
My previous game's witch got off a lot fewer spells than she really should've.

Well, have her speak up then! Magic items are always worth more if you use them than if you sell them for half the value.
Celi is eyeing the elven cloak, but she'll be happy to suggest flipping a coin or drawing straws if Rose also wants it.
