Its going to be a really big change, we had some outdated information for USPS (like package sizes) and stuff. We're determining how best to fix it, especially in light of the VAT changes that are approaching on July 1.

International shipping is brutal right now and I don't envy the dance Paizo has to dance nor the amounts fellow nerds are having to pay for their books. Hopefully there are good solutions to be found!

Personally, I'm still just f5ing over here. :)

Yeah, we spent time to count and we've calculated that we've shipped 32% of this month's orders means... absolutely nothing.

Agree on exact calculations, that said its rarely the people packing the shipments that would do it.

I would much rather an estimate of 'We are still likely to be shipping next Tuesday' or 'We expect to be done by close of business tomorrow.'

But I am in the international crowd that wake up each morning and check their email to see if there is anything from Paizo customer service and then check a few more times until around 10am when its likely after work hours at Paizo.

you know they don't have to actually count them? (and it would mean they need two more weeks to ship the rest out)

They could simply take a quick look in the data and see x Shipped / x pending

i work in a warehouse that ships a lot each day and we can easily see how much has shipped each day and how much is pending in the data. And i assume Paizo is using a similar system

I feel like they've been doing a great job recently on the updates. Also, I feel like any update they do give today (Friday) will likely come at the end of their day, before they're off for the weekend. If they still have more to do beyond today, and won't resume until Monday, I think it would make more sense to give the most up-to-date information. And that likely won't be for another 12 hours or so from the time of this post.

I'm still holding onto hope that they manage to get a good amount shipped out today before the end of the week, including mine *wink wink*, but even so stay safe warehouse and customer service team and everyone in that area too!

Previously, I had been trying to create a process so I could track subscription fulfillment rates from the day we create orders, to a couple weeks after the shipping window. Unfortunately I haven't been able to continue to work on that project over the last year. However, since then I have also take a course at our local community college on Excel, and now have a much better understanding of how to efficiently use the data I can pull out of our order processing software, and I hope to be able to resume that goal at some point in 2021.

I will try to sneak in a quick peek at some numbers this afternoon, but no promises, the data takes a bit to pull and at the moment, I'm not actually sure how my evening is going to pan out.

Also Washington state doesn’t have nearly the level of heat protecting infrastructure that warmer parts of the US have. 110 Fahrenheit would be bad in my area (Southern California), but it happens every year. We’re physically prepared.
