I'll grant you that; it's mostly my wishful thinking.
I have heard rumors that we're getting it before Christmas, though.

My guess is something to do with Lisa's comment 55 minutes into the Future of Paizo seminar at PaizoCon 2019 about a way to play RPG's that has never been done before.

spaceships and vehicles
That's old news already. Though I bet vehicles will only be included in Armory 2.
Kaiju fighters handbook
Would they go back to tiny rulebooks like in PF 1?

I'd like some Starfinder Tales, with all those short fiction blog posts that have been going on recently - but it's probably either comics or a new in-house podcast/twitch thing about Starfinder.
Or a Starfinder version of the card game, if it isn't there already.

I don't like that the sound of that. Protagonists in that genre are usually CREEPAZOIDS.

A wildcard guess, but hey, might as well - a virtual reality tabletop (built for Starfinder), made in tandem with another company like the Pathfinder cRPGs have been (with Owlcat).
That would certainly count as "biggest news of the decade" and "a totally new way to play RPGs", but it would also be pretty...odd.
(On top of other potential issues such an idea poses, if anyone who's been paying attention to online discourse surrounding Half-Life: Alyx would know. Then again I'm kind of a VR skeptic so...)

A book with all the starship designs and some new ones?

The more I think about it, a digital tabletop a la roll20, built exclusively for SF, is likely. Possibly with a roboGM built in
Robogm? As in, an automated gamemaster? As in, I can play it alone, just need to make a dungeon or something? I'd be totally up for that. At least then I can finally make a testrun.
Personally, I hope it's either a complete errata for all existing SF products currently available (Including COM) OR a racebuilder, similar to the one for Pathfinder 1e. I really hope its a racebuilder, I have a mighty need to populate my galaxy with all sorts of weird aliens and robots. I played a lot with the one featured in Pathbuilder 1, making all sorts of races. But for starfinder, its even more important. Especially for robots. One can only hope.

Maybe it's just the official announcement of the new First Seeker?
That would be alright, but it might miff some people, after all this hype. But it is the motto of the Second Seekers.
Also, I just noticed the five dots and circles on the top of the image. I wonder what's up with that.
I wouldn't mind a new free quest pack. :)

If its just another actual play podcast, this time with Joe Pasini instead of Buhlman I will laugh and laugh because all that hype for all that nothin.
My thought is that with the "New Way Forward" thing it feels like a major change in content delivery - official FG/Roll20 support for APs perhaps.
Or some kind of new content partnership - Starfinder's take Gloomhaven would be a cool example of what that kind of thing is.

Its probably just Ehu becoming officially officially the first Seeker and Second Seeker (Ehu Hadif) faction being a thing
If that's what's going on that could be cool, but it would not be consistent with the comments by Paizo (and non-Paizo) staff/freelancers/etc I've seen.

a fellow at my gaming group suggested a 5E Compatible Core Rulebook for Starfinder. but he's playing a space goblin in power armor, so...
the other suggestion was a playtest of starship combat options & alternate rules.
I don't think the second one would really fit well, but I could see the first one potentially. It would live up to the tagline and the comments that have been made, and I could see it doing well too o.o

In the past, December 16th was hailed as the worst birthday of the year, but both Jane Austen and Arthur C. Clarke were born then, so it wasn't all bad.
