So my friends and I are talking about starting a new campaign featuring an adventuring guild/mercenary band consisting of the following races:
- Catfolk
- Grippli
- Kitsune
- Nagaji
- Ratfolk
- Rougarou
- Tengu
- Vanara
- Vishkanya
- possibly a few other anthropomorphic races I didn't think to include
We were hoping to get some help brainstorming some names for our group.
We're still very early in the planning stages right now, so I apologize for not having more information to guide you.

General rule of naming characters with hair covering their whole body, inspiration may be found in the color of their hair.
I don't know what a Rougarou is and not really sure how a Vishkanya is a furry?
Catfolk - I find Ms anything seems to work, you know how people name their cats Ms something or other. For a less comic route you could use the Kajit naming conventions from Elder Scrolls.
Grippli - Nero, is the name of am emperor who was compared to a frog according to wikipedia. Prince is another good one because of you know, prince and frog.
Kitsune - Moxxi ... rymes with foxy xD literally the first place my head went to.
Nagaji - any name with a sibilant sound. Cecile is a nice one. For some reason Persephone is sticking out. Eve is quite a biblical snake related name.
Ratfolk - no idea.
Tengu - I have one idea and its so s!$& I don't care to share xD
Vanara - Sun, Wu or Kong.
Orang-Pedank - Louis.
EDIT: I may have missed the point of this thread xD

Chromantic Durgon <3, we're looking for help naming the group as a whole, not its individual members.
Well, first off, with a Grippli, a Nagaji, a Tengu and a Vishkanya half the party seems to be scaly/rubbery, not furry.
Fully half of the races listed don't traditionally have fur, true (2 have scales, 1 has rubbery skin, and 1 has feathers; out of the nine total), but I wanted to get people into the thread with an interesting title, so I used an internet buzzword.
Is it a general adventuring group, or is there a more specific purpose or expertise?
We haven't decided on a theme yet, if any, other than the fact we want to all play anthropomorphous races.

Skinwalkers would fit too.
As to a name... Ferocious Furry Freedom Fighters or if they are all girls, Ferocious Furry Female Freedom Fighters!

Wow.
I somehow feel like if I could just understand that (and I don't mean language barrier issues), I would correlate the contents of my consciousness... opening up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of my frightful position therein, that I would either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age...

Eyup, basic Nordic state-run t.v. children's programming at its finest.

The Menagerie.
Dublin Zoo was opened in 1831 by members of the medical profession interested in studying animals while they were alive and more particularly getting hold of them when they were dead.
So now I'm thinking there has to be inspiration there, but I sure can't find it!

Friends of Humanity.
Haha, I really like this one. Acronyms could be fun too.
Mighty Morphing Power Rangers? lol.
Mercenary Animal Team Extraction/Extermination Specialists (MATES)
Friends Of Everyone (FOE)
Yeah, acronyms can be real fun.

Man, there's a lot of good ones in this thread! Keep 'em coming. I'll be sure to share them all with my group.
(And keep it going even if we settle on one; this list will surely help other groups with a similar theme.)
