![]() Well the knowledge engineering was for the planks, should have been knowledge architecture/craft architecture. I'll just see if i can jimmy up the crane. no biggie. i say we don't overthink this. we got a boat underneath, a crane, heck if anyone has swim ranks they could take a crowbar to the bottom of the sea bed and pry it open, as long as its not priceless artwork i think it will be okay wet. ![]()
![]() Itchy I'm trying to create my own game, with hopefully a mix of railroad and player driven. I would love to make a fully player driven game but i know that if i tried it would come out half baked simply because i don't have the experience for it. I'm running my games online for now, but hopefully within the next year i can start a face to face game at a local game shop. I personally wanted to look for tools that would help me create a game or keep it running smoothly if the unexpected happened. But i also created the thread just to chat about people's favorite products. ![]()

![]() well you can see the boards on the map in roll20, The box is quite clearly larger than the planks and wouldn't fit inbetween the two. The deteriorating planks are about at the 9 and 7 o'clock positions. we could also lower down a hook, lower down a person (Provided there is space on the ceiling) or create a net around the bottom using all the rope that i'm sure everyone has. Or we can (as suggest) use the coffins somehow. ![]()

![]() "Well, if we step on the wood its going to fall. We could try dragging it but that would be equally risky. Its a big box and a small plank." Trippen searches the ceiling for a beam or support. "We might be able to hoist someone up and lower them to the crate. Have them secure it. Anyone have any other ideas?" this is why i always pack a scroll of rope trick as a wizard :P ![]()
![]() I play with a lot of players who love to optimize. Even in the meta game they know that games never really last past 8th level, so they create characters that are amazing levels 1-8 and then fall off hard core. Wizards are hardly seen and i don't think i've ever played with a bard or rogue unless it was for just a one or two level dip. I Never optimize. i make my characters with very real flaws. Now i do believe that you must be good at SOMETHING, but that isn't optimizing, thats just creating a character. even if I'm a martial class i don't dump charisma/wisdom/int unless i have a reason too. If i want to play the dumb guy i will drop some int, but i'll generally put them right back into wisdom or charisma for flavor. Or if i want to play the social recluse and get 7-8 charisma i'll put them into int or wisdom. It gets old being the only character talking in social situations even though the sorcerer has 20 charisma and my dwarf has 6. But this is what i generally have to deal with because i live in the middle of nowhere not many people play RPGs here. ![]()
![]() Roberta Yang wrote: Woohoooooooo Its all of the sarcasm that is annoying me. This person just wanted to know if he could have a viable build and how to make a viable build. Roberta is essentially saying "rogues are horrible and are beaten by everything ever. don't play them ever ever ever." The OP wants to play a rogue, RPGs are about having fun and you can build a fun and viable character no matter what you build. You can tell someone "This character is less powerful" all you want but If all you do is shut down someones ideas without at least trying to help them i see this as toxic to the thread in general. Edit: This is also in the conversions thread, not the advice thread. that tells me he is okay with adding 3rd party, (which is why i added 3rd party material to my post) so technically: Yes, rogues are inferior EVERYONE KNOWS THIS! but they are still viable and there are tools out there to make them more powerful. This is what i believe the OP wants. ![]()
![]() an "Enterprising" Player would be wrong. According to the rules, minutes and rounds are two completely different thing. A round lasts 6 seconds, true. But when it comes to the rules for what can and can't work, it doesn't matter. From the PFSRD: Many durations are measured in rounds, minutes, hours, or other increments. That means that they are slotted to be measured in "Rounds" or "Minutes" they are a separate thing. In sipping jacket " If the potion’s duration is measured in rounds," Since the potions duration is NOT measured in rounds, it is measured in minutes. This can't be used. ![]()
![]() Roberta Yang, you are being so venomous. You could at least try to be constructive as opposed to shut down everything the OP posted. OP: I would like to ask you if this is for pathfinder society, or not. If it is not i would talk with your GM and ask about a few third party tools. Some you could use, or you could buy for your GM to add into his campaign that make skill monkey's more viable. Rogue Glory adds a ton of new options for the rogue and gives them a slight boost to reach bards and rangers in viability. I use it in all the rogues i build that my GM allows. Doing "Rogue like things" can just be enough, sure bards and rangers can still use poisons but this poison crafting rework can make higher level-poison not suck. Dipping a level into alchemist, ninja, or a poisoner rogue archetype would make it much more viable as well. Lorefinder adds some amazing rules into the game that make mystery campaigns much more fun. Honestly, being a skill monkey is totally reliant on your DM, the module you are using, and the players you are playing with. Do you have the opportunity to stealth ahead and do solo things? other players get bored while you are doing this unless they really like listening or they helping in some way. Forum roleplay is great for this. Do you have the opportunity to poison your enemies, climb the mountain to look for clues and interrogate the bad guys? If not then no, skill monkey rogues just aren't viable. ![]()

A wandering pathfinder came by and opened it for me, She was very pretty girl- Tamaera was her name. She showed gave me my first lock pick.
