Positive.
Please, prevent people placing plural 'P's purposefully.
EDIT: My snark has killed both of those items for me now. I just can't treat them seriously. Just as well I didn't care about them that much.

I always find myself wondering about masks (and this doesn't specifically apply to anything in RPG superstar, but also things found in the various rulebooks): does anyone actually have their characters going around wearing these things?
I have a character who wears the stalker's mask. He worships an evil god and is a sucker for Stealth bonuses (Stealth focus build) so he doesn't really care what it's made of and for.

Everyone please delete these words/phrases from your vocabulary forth with and swear to never use them again in round 1 submission... it turns your item descriptions into a more dynamic version of itself.
Never ever use...
"can"
"could"
"should"
"may"
"will"
"like"
"can be"
"could be"
"may be"
"appears"
"as if"
"prized by"
"favored by/of"
"very, very"
These are the most commonly used combinations that prevent your description from being dynamic and the thing about dynamic description is, after 100's of votes, it is still enjoyable to read... :)

You were a great item the first time you made the top 32.
You were a good item the second time you made the top 32.
But a third time? No. Downvoted.
(People, seriously, read the top 32 items from previous years before submitting...)
There was even a thread of them this year, so really there aren't any excuses.

I have a Kitsune fighter who always wears a tiger mask (gives a bonus to Intimidate) when she is out adventuring.
She's a fox pretending to be a human pretending to be a tiger.
But then, Kitsune do things like that.

It is even more annoying if they duplicate existing items found in the CRB. The PRD has a search function. Use it, folks!
A few observations:
- Interestingly, I seem to have a positive inital inclination towards items with names that sound like personal-care products.
- So far, I've been able to vote against random items every single time.
- All those wasted words make me cranky. It doesn't matter if your item is 150 or 290 words long. Contestants can't afford to be that longwinded in future rounds.
- Inclusion of Golarion lore is usually a reliable indicator for a lack of creativity. Your item should stand out on its own. Implicit references are fine though (they make me feel smart if I get them).
- I put weapons and armor under special scrutiny. If there is no synergy between the item's base function and its special abilities, you propably misidentified the design space.
- I've voted for a few items that weren't particulary creative, but well-executed. The kind that makes you wonder why you haven't seen it in print yet. Who knows, maybe this year one or two of these will make it into the Top 32?
- I like items that teach me something new. A new word, an obscure rule that I wasn't aware of, or a piece of trivia that I have to look up. But please make sure to use it correctly!

Two horribly OP items both over 150K paired together. One is 50K more than the most expensive item for the same item slot in Ultimate Equipment. And the other is almost 150K more than the highest priced weapon in the UE. Guess what? You can't make an OP item and expect it to be balanced by making the price outrageously expensive. It doesn't work like that. If your item should be priced that much, it is likely a artifact and not a magic item

Please raise your right hand and repeat after me:
"I do solemnly swear that before submitting my next RPG Superstar entry, I will take 10 seconds to open the rules for Detect Magic and see what my item's aura power should be. I also do swear to mercilessly downvote any item whose designer could not be bothered to take those 10 seconds to check such a simple aspect of item creation."
