Envoy's Alliance

Just at the recent PaizoCon, my first time joining PaizoCon and doing Organized Play.
Alright, I have two.

First:
Not only did our group approach everything in the most ridiculous way possible and yet somehow manage to succeed/survive, our crowning moment was when we needed to get everyone on top of this platform help up by a pillar. The strongest in our party climbed on his horse and helped us get up ... only to find that by using the horse, the horse needed to join us on the platform. Not wanting to even try that, we all climbed down but one, who used an Adamantine Dagger to chip away at the nails on the platform. After doing this, I suggested we use a Decanter of Endless Water to blast the pillar out from beneath the platform. The others loved this plan, but were convinced that one of us needed to stand directly under the platform to blast it in the air, then jump out of the way. And naturally, I was the only rogue in the party.
Not only did I manage a critical hit on the platform, but I managed a critical success on my reflex roll. My character than curled up in a ball, soaking wet, and began to cry.

Second: (Different group)
Needing to convince a faction that another negotiating party were evil and up to no good, but not having any idea how to do it, I proposed the following plan. We have our Charhide Goblin with the Torch It! feat light himself on fire, and run screaming from the enemy camp while someone shouted that he saw the enemies light his comrade on fire. Not only did the fire go out almost immediately, but his performance check failed miserably, even with the fact that he actually was on fire, and also the deception check from the other shouting the accusations failed miserably. Honestly, we probably should have failed the campaign, but because of how pathetic our attempt was, the GM dismissed it as having almost no one see it, therefore amounting to nothing other than a stern warning from an ally.

2/5

Since the pandemic forced my local PFS/SFS community here in Kentucky to take our PFS games online, our FLGS's online venue has attracted a number of players from various European counties. We've even added a new occasional GM from among these distant guests, and in one recent game, I was one of only 1 or 2 US-based players. At one point during the opening scene of that game, one of the more recent recruits said, "That's not sarcasm, that's just my accent."

Grand Archive 4/5 *

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As a gnome cloistered cleric, I am size small and fairly light, but only had an 8 strength as that was a low priority for the character. The party needed to cross a river in a cold area as part of a certain scenario involving a race, but I wasn't going to pass any athletics checks. My solution was to turn to the pregen Amiri.
Throw me!
