Broken Zenith doesn't seem to be updating atm though.

^That link doesn't work -- instead try this. It has been updated with both version 2.1 of Tarondor’s Guide to the Pathfinder Transmuter Wizard and version 5.0 of Bodhi's Guide to the Optimal Paladin & Antipaladin, so it is being updated within a few days of a new guide appearing.

Thanks. I'm not sure why it broke. I pasted the same link as the url and the text.

Mouseover on your link shows paizo.com/threads/ at its start miscdebris. I'm not sure how you came to add that in but it looks to be the problem with your link.

Shadow Lodge

I'm updating! What am I missing?

In addition to the Spell Sage Wizard guide that you already link to, here is a mini-guide that you don't have yet (it is currently a Paizo Messageboards post/thread, so no separate discussion thread yet). They complement each other (each covers stuff that the other doesn't), so they should go next to each other in the Guide to the Guides.

You got it - updated.

Although short, and because there are so few guides to them, there are some good ideas in the RPG Bot The Bloodrager Handbook.

Shadow Lodge

Hmm - that might be a teensy bit too short. I have RPG Bot's overall guides listed at the bottom there.

Not sure though. Thoughts?

I've also added several shifter builds to the shifter guide. Not sure if that is relevant to the Guide to Builds.

If it's already in your guide, then we're all good.

I call it the Fog Chanter. It's based around the Flame Dancer Bard archetype.

The guide uses material from Core, ACG, APG, ARG, UM, UC, and others.

For some reason, the table of contents hyperlinks don't work when viewing the document online. For a more navigable version of the guide, use the download link above.

This is neat.

It seems like good form to acknowledge that Treantmonk established the common format and colour/star coding. Most other guides do that and I appreciate that they do.

I’ll make sure to establish that ASAP, and do the same for my upcoming class guide.

At what point of progress in making a class guide would it be best to post said guide here? I'm making a guide for the Vampire Hunter (because it seemed like a simple enough class to do a class guide on while binge watching Game of Thrones), and I'm getting relatively close to it being complete.

It's already on the main blog post.

I think you're confused. I have a different class guide in the works, besides the one that is already on there.

Any chance we could get Weirdo’s Guide to Gestalt in there somewhere? Gestalt is an angle that rarely gets covered in specific class guides, but I’ve found this one to be really helpful for some gestalt building I’m doing.

Shadow Lodge

Gestalt Guide added to the Guide to the Guides. Some interesting stuff there!

It says "archmarge" vairel on your site and I am now to be known as the archmarge. All lesser marges bow down before me.

P.S. Thanks so much for up-keeping such a great resource.

Silver Crusade

Hey there, been a while. In addition to a small update on my gunslinger guide, I'd like to have the following guides of classes of mine added to the list if at all possible.

Sentinel
Conscript

Both of these classes are third party, and from the Spheres of Might book.

Also a note that Surpassing Even the Boss also contains information for the legendary gunslinger.

Feels like forever since I've been back here, but it's nice seeing people still doing guide work.

I've done a small guide for the Phantom Blade Spiritualist archetype here: Google Docs Link

It still need reviewing, but I felt it was needed because Phantom Blade is one of those archetype who changes so much the base class that your can't at all use the guide of the class itself to help you doing something efficient.

You can leave any comment you would have on it, I'm alaways happy to get some feedback

So I’ve been playing D&D for a little while, starting when 5e came out. I moved on to DMing for a couple of regular D&D games.

Recently, however, I was invited to play in a Pathfinder game. Pathfinder has been kicking around for like, 13 years, and so has amassed up a truly impressive amount of content. This makes it fairly inpeneratible and I've found that getting into it, even to just roll a character, has been difficult and rather intimidating.

While trying to figure this all out, I was looking for general rundowns or overviews of all the races and classes, but I had a hard time finding what I’ve been looking for. Guides tend to be either too way to basic or way too comprehensive. They either assume that you are utterly unfamiliar with the genre of fantasy or they go hard the other direction and dig deep into all the stats and numbers and relative power levels.

I’ve been looking for a basic overview that focuses on the feel of the characters without getting into all the numbers, while also assuming a basic knowledge of fantasy tropes and roleplaying games.

That’s what I’ve tried to do here. Check it out. I hope that it makes Pathfinder a little more accessible.

I've also posted this as it as its own post in the Advice Forums here:http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2v8o0?General-overview-of-all-player-races -and-classes

DavisESQ, this website intentionally adds spaces to very long links (like your Races and Classes links) unless you put them in a url tag. So if you remove the slash from the starting url tag:

[/url=http://www.google.com]Google.com[/url]

You get a clickable link to Google.com .

Good looking out, Chadius.

Added Conscript, Sentinel, and Phantom Blade Spiritualist to the Guide to the Guides! I'm going to hold off on the class and race overview for now until they gets built out a bit more.

Zenith are you doing a guide to the guides for Starfinder?

Hmm

Shadow Lodge

Yes indeed! I've just started it here: Starfinder Guide to the Guides

Please feel free to make comments on the blog itself for new guides. I'll also make a post in the Starfinder forums.

EDIT: Post is HERE. Comment there to do the thread and make new suggestions.

Will Pathfinder 2nd Edition also get its own guide to guides, or will those be integrated into the existing Pathfinder portal?

It will also get its own guide list!

Is there a baseline somewhere that you can point me to for a startingpoint?

^Not yet, and I have yet to get enough time to delve into Pathfinder 2nd Edition itself (although I must say that what I saw in the introductory blogs mostly gave me dread . . .). Maybe later; will keep an eye out for announcement/discussion threads of 2nd Edition guides.

The link to THE COMPLETE Professor Q's Guide to the Pathfinder Wizard is dead.

On its discussion page there are both PDF and Google Docs links which do work so perhaps someone can update those links back here.

The link works for me. What error are you getting?

You are looking at the Guide to the Guides, right?

Link works for me too. A couple of years ago, it didn't work, but that has been fixed. Maybe you have some REALLY OLD stuff in your browser cache? (Or more likely, went to obsolete version of the Guide to Guides?)

I found a whip build guide while I was looking around google and lo, there’s one on reddit. Where There’s A Whip, There’s A Way: Amanoo’s Pathfinder Guide to Whips. If anyone’s on reddit, they should prolly get permission first.
