Nimm,
Could you give me a bit of information on what the corsair class looks like beyond what is just in your profile? With a sea adventure it makes sense to have two sailor types in the group, but with us both being dex based fighter types too, I just wanted to make sure to keep it in mind so we didn't end up stepping on each others toes.
There are plenty of options where we can both grow in different ways and I'm sure that any competition that could develop will be good for adding to the story.

The corsair class is really a blending of a rogue/fighter with an eye toward swashbuckling and roguery. As the class progresses, he gets more and more dirty fighting tricks, improved unarmed fighting, feats and powers that allow him to be better climber, to fight on uneven surfaces, to swing from chandeliers and to beat people in the head with ale mugs and random objects.
I don't think there will be too much competition. I see your dude as a potential captain, while Nimm would make a better bosun or quartermaster. Or a pirate captain, maybe, in the spirit of the Dread Pirate Roberts...
"Good night, Tarlane. I'll most likely kill you in the morning."

Lynora,
Hardly an important point at all, but I still have a chunk of coin left over and I was wondering if I could drop a bit of it to have his rapier to be rather fanciful. No game effects, anymore then wearing noble clothes or something, but the idea is that it was given to him when he was young and very much led him to his current life trying to live up to the image of the previous owner.
Maybe a beautifully carved pommel, distinct blade, ect. Is that alright and if so, how much would you add on to the cost? Its currently mithril, which acts as masterwork but costs a bit more because it drops the weapons weight as well.

Sounds good Nimm.
I wasn't thinking competition in a bad way(beyond both calling dibs on light armors and such) but more from both having similar styles and thus it could often be an either/or type of thing for any given job.
However with widely different personalities(quentin is the zorro sort, honorable even if not necessarily law abiding and trying to be a model for others to show their own strengths) it could lead to an interesting dynamic between the two of them and they will probably be a pretty effective team.

Just checkin' in - I will get something put together over the weekend if that is ok with you, Lynora. RL is taking up my time at the moment, but I will get things put together.
It's fine. I'm thinking it will be sometime next week before we have everybody assembled and with characters made.

A fine piece of craftsmanship is always appreciated in a blade. I'm fine with you making your sword fancier. How much it costs depends on what sort of fancy you mean. Jewel encrusted runs more than pretty carvings. For a uniquely carved hilt, I'd say add 25-50gp based on level of detail. Jewels cost more.

Alright, a background and description are up. They are real basic to me at the moment and seem almost default so I might work out some of the bugs in that, but they should be good over all. If you don't like them or don't think they would work out in your world, let me know.
Also, I dropped the antitoxin I had bought, so I could pick up nobles clothes to match his description(no jewelry though) and I spent an extra 100gp on the sword, for the max in terms of engraving and 50 on gems. I described it as having small rubies set in the eyes of the engravings.

Nice background. The village is called Mertan's Cove. The man was a Valynese pirate turned Chance privateer. The crown is trying to cut down the privateers whenever they can because of fears of Chance seceding from Sorryn. And someday you may meet the other kid from Mertan's Cove who had the same idea you did :) You've probably heard of her at least in passing. Gracie Fisher is already captain of her own vessel and is known for her sailing skill.

So just trying to get an over all idea of our high seas team.
We've got myself, the dex fighter.
Fin, the talker/blaster
Nim, the corsair
San, the Druid
Adrick, the cleric
Kauul, The fighter/wizard
And we aren't quite sure on what Jon is going to be?
Sounds like we have all our bases pretty well covered though, should be a good party.
Druid to back up the cleric in healing, the warlock can back up the wizard in some arcane things, and while the corsair is the closest we've got to a real rogue I will be able to provide some backup in stealth type of situations.
Should work out pretty well, whatever role Jon takes.

Ok, currently feeling like an idiot. I see that "Honest" Finreal is a warlock. He has 28 HP.
I'm a warlock, I have 21HP. Obviously I am shorting myself 7HP.
Where did I miss this? I think I've read the rules (though I am notorious for somehow skipping the one line I needed). Do we get double HP for level 1?
So, level 1 i'd have 14, 2 - 21, 3 - 28?
Its not a huge deal, but I do like to know when I'm missing something I should be easily seeing. :)

Nope, I missed something maybe. I double checked yours. D6+CON, taking max hps each level = 21 for you. He has a higher con, but I think is still about 4 hp too high. Thanks for catching it :)

See, I see it somewhere in the middle of the HP for you guys.
If you are getting max HP, that would be 18 for level 3, plus the 3 you get for your con, plus 3 if you are taking your favored class(and chose HP over skill points).
So that puts it at 21 with skill points bonus, 24 with the hp bonus.
Not sure where the difference comes in.

Gnome accountants.
I had this weird image in my head for a bit of my character trying to make a name for himself and get some experience, and after having spent some time aboard a gnomish fishing ship, the royal navy looks awfully good to him.
I quickly banished that idea though, in the hopes of a character who still has some sanity left in him.

LOL :) Oh, that is so much more accurate than you could know :) There's a whole country of gnomes to the north of Sorryn. It's....different. :)

Doh! I forgot all about the extra hps for favored class. Yeah, that shaves off some of the difference...
As a note, I took the skill points over the HP, since as a fighter I have it rough in that department. Just in case you skim over our chars a bit more thoroughly, so you know where everything is.

Thanks, Tarlane. Good to know.

Ahh, ok. I get it now.
I missed that you could take HP over skill points. Well, after reading the little box again, I remembered that I had read it and forgot it.
I took the skill points. After mostly playing clerics, I actually will have some skills beyond concentrating! er...spellcrafting...whatever it is now.
edit: removed smilies and smacked myself.

Father Timmis is nearly done. With regard to background, can characters be recently stranded in this plane? ie can they come from Golarion/Greyhawk/Wherever and now find themselves stuck here, or was everyone brought to this plane 'in one go' many years ago?
Everyone was brought in in one go many, many, many years ago. But there were originally people from all different planes, and all kinds of ideas mixed together here. So any deity is okay.

Looks good. The woods you want are called the Idlewild. They are feytouched and relatively uninhabited by mortals. (Fey are not cute and cuddly here) It's not unheard of for some of the wilder elves to make their home in the Idlewild because, unlike in their traditional homes in the Hexwood, humans don't bother them here. The proximity to the Dragonsbreath Mountains explains the cold, and the proximity of the Corpsewood might explain both her powers and her parents' reaction to them. You would have ended up in Tallingard first, and then likely hitched a ride with a trader to Chance since the Sorrynese humans would have been less than willing to take in someone of elven descent.
I'm gonna have to scan in my map so I can actually show you the geography at some point, even though it's a rough sketch work-in-progress.
awsome thanks=)
of course the fey may not be cute and cudly but savrial is:D
looking forward to the map:) do you have a map of chance aswell? i love city maps!

also could do with a few questions answered on time zones
I am at the moment sadly in Australia (i wan't to go home to New
Zealend=( )
and i'm betting most of you are in America?
So while if you lot get on roughly at the same time you can probably get one or two rounds done, where as i will only be able to post once because it will probably be the middle of the night or very early morning for me when your all posting=(
