I thought I'd make a centralized thread where people can post the group they've assembled for playing through the RotR Adventure Path.
There are a couple of threads where people have posted their group, but I wanted to make "One Thread to Bind Them All..." or some such. ;-)

Feel free to post as much as you like (e.g. backgrounds, how the party met etc.)

Well, I'll start off with the group I'll be running through the AP.

Baelynn and Gaelynn Blackwater
Fraternal twins of Chelish descent.
From a small noble family whose seat has been in the southern part of the Fogscar Mountains (think slightly Scottish setting, with their keep at the edge of a large Loch (i.e. Blackwater)).

Baelynn - LN Human male Wizard (will most likely multiclass to sorcerer and then pick up the Ultimate Magus PrC)
Gaelynn - LG Human male Cleric (Iomedae - Glory and War domains, Longsword and Power Attack/Cleave feat chain)
???? - Human male Fighter or Ranger (undecided as of now). Probably the son of the guard captain of the Blackwater household or a cousin of the Blackwater family.

The Blackwater patriarch backed out of some shady dealings recently and has thus caused a lot of trouble for the family, including an assasination attempt. The twins were therefore sent to Sandpoint to lay low and at the same time follow up on some rumors that the assasination attempt had ties to the town. The third character is either going with them or is already in Sandpoint (if he's a cousin).

As is evident I only have 3 players, so I'm contemplating putting in a NPC, although I've already beefed up the characters a bit (their stats have bonuses of +15, +14 and +16 respectively, also bumped the skill point total up one category (i.e. fighters, clerics etc. now have 4 skill points instead of 2), full starting money and one of the feats from the Player's Guide as a bonus feat).

While I enjoy your character's combined background, and feel that it will work wonders. Please, oh for the love of Buddah, tell me that your player's character's ability scores are not high enough that the bonus granted is not an average of +15!

All 4 will be clerics of the following gods.

LN Asmodeus, plans on being a barrister type person
Desna
Nethys
Urgathoa

All other clerics alignments will be as close to neutral as possible.

It will be very interesting to see how this all works out. To make things a little bit smoother I'm going to have the new temple be generic, where you can come in a worship any of the gods, to a certain extent. The high priest though that will be head of it will remain whatever the faith was originally mentioned.

What the players are thinking is that they are sent by the various churches as representives for the dedication ceremony. According to the "Contract" or "Oath" they must work together until the temple is properly aligned or whatever you want to call it. So since the goblins will disrupt the proceedings for the short term they are obligated to remain working together. I have no idea how long this alliance will last, though it looks very interesting.

I also find it very interesting that the two players that usually play Paladins and other very good heroes, have chosen two evil deities to worship. All four players have been talking a lot of how an all cleric group will preform.

The sorc' I'm the least sure about. The alignments puzzle me. Hope it doesn't take a lot to motivate them.

Okay, I won't tell you then... :-p

But yes, that's the abilities they rolled (4d6, drop lowest, one floating re-roll (re-roll one die in one ability)). Admittedly, they did roll a fair number of rows (and in hindsight I probably should have put down a max number of rows), but I'm less concerned with this as I feel it's seldom that a character's entire row is beneficial in every, or even most, situation. E.g. while the mage does have an above average strength score, it's seldom going to affect combat and the like. Likewise, I'm not "afraid" of the Cleric's and Fighter/Ranger's intelligence scores, since they just add a couple of skill points (of which I think they get too few of anyway).
I don't have the abilities with me, so I can't actually present to you what each row looks like.

wait wait wait. Their actual ability score is the average of 15 not the bonus. If that's the case that's fine, just some above average humans. But if their bonus is a +15 all I can say is dude your game's way over powered and there will be no challenge what so ever.

Sorry to disappoint you, but it's the bonus. ;-)

I don't really see it as being that bad, it's something that can easily be "kept down" during play so as to not overpower everything else.
At least that's how I look at it.. also remember that it's still a roleplaying game, so pure "strength in numbers" isn't going to help them in every situation.
Furthermore, it's also mostly at the first 5 levels or so that it gives them a significant boost, after that most pc's bonuses come from other abilities (e.g. BAB etc.) or from magical items. And I'm not too keen on handing out magical items as if it's Christmas to start with, so even if the adventure provides a lot (we'll have to wait and see) I can always adjust that to compensate for their abilities.
"Normal" PCs in other campaigns (as a comparison) also have access to the various buff spells, so they can emulate these high ability scores easily, while I'm keeping with with the 3.0 version of them so they might only get a slight buff instead of the constant high buff.
Survivability at low levels is also a thing to consider and with an above average Con bonus this helps too.
Lastly, ability drains from various sources is still a part of the game [insert evil DM laugh]. ;-)

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

My players for the new pathfinder game (my 2 daughters and the boy acrossed the street) are playing:

M Human (Shoanti) Barbarian
F Elf Rogue
M Halfling Bard ([former?] Jester to a nearby local Royal House, Str 3 should be fun)

and I have an NPC F Gnome Druid (but I'm hoping my wife picks up this NPC as my 4th player...)

I've just finished painting the minis and I think they came out wonderfully.

I'm thinking of doing a game (b)log with pictures of the game in progress attached... any suggestions for the best forum for such a thing?

Great idea!

I'd say that it really boils down to how you want to present the whole thing. If you're okay with just putting the text up and don't mind linking to the pictures elsewhere (e.g. photobucket), then posting it here at Paizo would definitely be a possibility.
Otherwise you'd probably have to create an account at one of the numerous free blogging sites (e.g. Blogger, LiveJournal etc.).
The advantage here is that you can put pictures inline with the text to create a more visually "pleasing" layout.
Of course, there's the third option, if you're up for it, and actually doing a complete website where you can do the layout any way you wishes, but it would probably take more time (and perhaps money) if you're not just a little html-savvy.
No matter what you decide, remember to promote it shamelessly here so we all can go have a gander. :-D


My group only has three players at the moment, but we're aiming for five. We're not playing for over a month yet, so we have time to search and create characters.
So far two of the players have decided on basic character concepts.
One is an elven enchanter and the other is a druid - race undecided.

That is what your saying right? That their ability modifiers added together is an average of 15. Because Potantseum is thinking that your characters have an average ability score of 40 per stat... which is pretty ridiculous.

I am definitely planning on running this adventure path, but I hate starting a story, when I don't already know the ending, so I'll be waiting until I have the full path in hand before starting... so around February.

Oh definitely! It's the total bonus for ALL ability scores!

Yeah, if he thought it was for each single ability score, then I can see how he would find that insane. :-D

I'll only be able to game roughly once a month with my group, so I'll be able to get the rest of the AP well before we'll hit the third adventure.
That doesn't mean, though, that I wouldn't mind knowing how the rest of the AP is going to play out, so I hope there's some kind of general overview of the whole series in Burnt Offerings.


Things are still pretty much up in the air, but it will probably settle down to:

1. Paladin of Sarenrae, Chelaxian in background, of a distinctly crusader-like cast...
2. Cleric of Sarenrae, Chelaxian, of a much less crusader like cast (yay internal conflicts!)
3. CN Halfling Rogue, who is pretty much just passing through the area and gets sucked into things much against her will.
4. N human Wizard, Enchanter, of mixed parentage.

I may or may not throw in an NPC with the group, just to round things out, help out the noobs (my friend's 12 yo daughter is playing the wizard, her first RPG experience, which should be fun), either a Bard or a Ranger, I'm not sure yet.

Okay, our group is going to attempt the RotRAP with only 3 players since our schedules are kind of crazy and we can't get everyone we want together at the same time. The game is going to be using the following character creation guidelines in order to try to make up the difference of being one party member short:

  • 36 point buy stats
  • Weapon Group Proficiencies (UA)
  • Free feat from the RotR Player's Guide at 1st level
  • Feats will be accelerated (awarded at every odd-numbered level instead of 1, 3, 6, 9, etc.)
  • Characters will be Gestalt (UA)
  • Characters will receive maximum hit points at each level

Our party is made up of the following:

  • Mierani Elf Swashbuckler/Duskblade
  • Shoanti Human Dragon Shaman/Bard
  • Varisian Human Rogue/Wizard

The rogue/wizard player is considering doing a specialist (either a Transmuter or Diviner) since the bard will have a wide variety of illusion and enchantment spells at his disposal. She's still up in the air about it, however.

We'll see how this works out...

My group is badass. It's a big Shoanti fighter, and a bunch of other guys.


I've only got 3 players, so I'm running it gestalt:

Human (Wind Tribe Shoanti) Swordsage//Cleric - going for Walker in the Waste
Human (Wind Tribe Shoanti) Warblade//Artificer - bodyguard for the first character
Human (Varisian?) Warblade//? (I think I talked him into scout for traps) - ex-bandit with a big sword

My group is going pretty old-school. Here's their breakdown:

1. Dwarven Fighter
2. Human Cleric of Desna
3. Human Wizard
4. Half-Elven Rogue (eventually multiclassing to Ranger)
5. Human Bard (eventually multiclassing to Cleric of Shelyn)

We purposefully made this group as well-rounded as possible. The Dwarf and Half-Elf will make for the heaviest hitters in melee and ranged combat. The Cleric and Bard should back them up, though. As for healing and undead turning ability, there will eventually be two clerics (one single-classed, one multi-classed). The Rogue and Bard will split duty in terms of the greatest number of applicable skills to any given situation involving roleplaying encounters or hazards/traps. And from the arcane angle, we've got the Wizard and the multi-classed Bard holding up that end of things...and even the Rogue could potentially have Use Magic Device to pitch-in if absolutely necessary.

Essentially there's a primary character for each traditional role. And each of them also has a secondary role to backup one of the others in case someone goes down. No word yet on any intentions to pursue prestige classes, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Mechanically, I'm giving them a 28-point buy as opposed to 25. And I don't plan on altering too many of the ELs or CRs even though they're running with five PC's rather than the traditional four. One other advantage I'm considering giving them is a free "regional" feat chosen from the RotR player's guide. That way, if any of the adventures or encounters are a bit overpowered, the heroes may have a slight leg-up, or at least bring things back to par. That's my hope at least.

I allowed a variety of options for rolling (28 point buy; standard 4d6 with a reroll; 26d6 "dice-buy" (arranged as liked on the stats); 3d6, reroll ones, in order, with a reroll; 2d6+6 in order). All but the point buy was used with decent results.

Allowing the bonus Background feat, including some from the boards, but no flaws. Otherwise pretty standard, though just started allowing the weapon proficiency feats to target weapon groups.

Have:

Male Dwarven Cleric of Torag - high str/con (14/16), who picked up the board's "Child of Janderhoff" background feat for a MW Earthbreaker (and regular feat for the proficiency). Artifice and Earth domains (so made his armor with 1 rank giving a +7 modifier).

Female Varisian Sorcerer - Spell focus/Varisian Tattoo (Evocation), and a board regional feat granting perform and survival as class skills.

Female Shoanti Ranger (Wind-Clan) - Lone Wolf and Big Game Hunter, Power Attack and free Track. Wielding another Earthbreaker (at this point combat style will be to pick up secondary attack style).

&Unknown - DM rolled stats for backup character in case no others join - Str: 14, Dex: 15, Con: 16, Int: 18, Wis: 14/13, Cha: 13/14. Any suggestions for what to do with *that*? My best thought is Gnome Rogue.

My group starts tonight and looks to be:
- Dwarven V2.Fighter (homebrew fighter redesign, taking on a "tanking" role)
- Varisian Druid (apprenticed to Madame Mvashti, going for Master of Many Forms PrC)
- Chelaxian Necromancer
- Chelaxian Rogue/Warlock


I do not plan on starting to run it until the middle of september or so, the only person in my group that I have realy discussed character ideas with at this point is my wife Alexis, who is thinking about making a character that splits her levels fairly evenly between ranger and rogue, possibly a dwarf or a gnome for race.

We have that exact same character concept (Ranger/Rogue) in our party, but the player is going with a Half-elf who got into some trouble down by Magnimar and headed to Sandpoint while things cooled off. He's been in town a few months, though, and already liking the area enough that he may decide to make the town his permanent home.

Meanwhile, we've got a Dwarf in the party, too, but he's going pure Fighter for the moment. That way, his options are wide open for early entry into a prestige class. Dwarven Defender wouldn't be out of the question. Or, if a new prestige class shows up in the back matter of Pathfinder, I think he may look to that, instead.

On a different topic, I haven't seen anyone talk overly much about how they're weaving or integrating the PCs into the Sandpoint area. Are they primarily citizens of Sandpoint? Or did most of them just "happen by" when Burnt Offerings get's under way?

I'm toying with the idea of letting them have a 2-for-1 price break on purchasing Craft or Profession skills, if they can somehow tie themselves into town as an apprentice or shopkeeper who's lived in town for awhile. I'd prefer that most of them have lived in Sandpoint long enough to have grown roots there. That way, when the plot of the AP plays out, they'll be even more invested in safeguarding the town.

Any other thoughts?

We played our first game on Tuesday and started out with finalizing all of the characters.
So, the final set-up of my group is as follows:
Baelynn Blackwater - Human (Chelaxian) Wizard
Galynn Blackwater - Human (Chelaxian) Cleric of Iomedae
Ivohn Windchaser - Human (Chelaxian) Rogue
Zandril Oakwood - Human (Chelaxian) Ranger

Background story (short):
The Blackwater twins have left their home in the ??? foothills after an assassination attempt on their father (following him bowing out of a somewhat shady business deal). The twins are now in Sandpoint for two reasons, one being that it's a good thing if the family lays low after the failed assassination attempt and two, because the small leads that they could find after the assassination attempt point towards the Sandpoint/Magnimar area.
On their journey they are accompanied by the son (Zandril) of the Blackwater guard captain, whom the twins have been friends with growing up.
The small party arrived in Sandpoint the day before the Swallowtail Festival and finds board in the Rusty Dragon.
The same day a ship arrives at the Sandpoint Harbor bearing a group of smugglers hoping to sell some of their ill-gained goods at the festival.
Unbeknownst to the captain of the ship, one of his crew members has seen this as a chance to get back at him for the cruel treatment he has suffered aboard the ship (and to get his stuff back that he has lost playing dice with the cheating captain). So, the young man Ivohn slips off from the ship and turns in the whole ship to the local authorities. Booking a room at the White Deer, the inn the furthest away from the docks, Ivohn tries to stay out of sight and mingle with the crowd on the day of the festival. Guided to the promise of free food he finds himself at the plaza in front of the new cathedral, along with the other PCs, when the goblin attack occurs.
Ivohn helps the group out by sniping at the goblin warchanter (and killing her) from the shadows of the wagon which previously held the swallowtail butterflies.

They were all send to Sandpoint by their lords to bring to the cathedral gifts for the gods:

- Shalyn’s veil.
- Desna’s butterfly.
- Bells of Adabar.
- Gozreh’s fishing net.
- Eternal flame of Sarenral.
- The everlasting quiver of Erastil.

My group starts on the 23rd. I'm expecting a little character concept shuffling, but right now I'm impressed with the mix.

Lord Spuce Whitewood - Male Elven Rogue. The scholarly scion of an outcast Crying Leaf warrior and his halfblood bride.
Dreva - Elven Sorceress. The tattooed, asp-kissing black sheep of a respected merchant family.
Tyeris Lilcamp - Female Varisian Bard. Seductive songstress of an ancient nomadic tradition.
Unnamed - Male Chelaxian Cleric of Serenrae. Small town boy called to the faith by a tragic roadside epiphany.
Haiga Mauer - Female Dwarven Paladin. Beautiful dwarven maiden who fled a political marriage to pursue a higher calling.

Sovereign Court

Gestalt is popular with my group, too, usually because we only have three players. This time I have a fourth.

Varisian male human rogue/sorcerer, going for master of many masks

Elven female druid/ranger, focusing in spellcasting and skills

Varisian male fighter/cleric of Sarenrae (possibly looking into Shadowspy)

Shoanti male barbarian/dragon shaman and recorder of heroic deeds.

Yes, the barbarian is going to keep a journal of the group's adventures, and I hope to post it in sections once we get rolling, starting this week!

Edit: The fighter/cleric will probably be a monk/rogue now.


A tentative group is as follows:

Piiter, of Shaondi descent, whose father forces him to long hours of horsemanship drills when he's not helping out at the White Stag. He's just about to turn 18 and gain his full independence, and is anxious to "be someone." (1st level human barbarian)

Tomas ("Tommy"), Piiter's best friend, is a bright, charismatic, daring, and scheming; he's always up to some sort of mischief. The source of his brazen acting out is his family's origin from Riddleport; his parents are widely distrusted in the community.

Kyle is a 1st level human bard, slightly overweight, who has made an impressive study of the world nobility in order to one day secure a patronage and gain fame, wealth, and worldwide acclaim. Alas, neither he nor any of his known forebears have ever been out of sight of Sandpoint.

Stefan is a 1st level human conjurer of Chelaxian descent, studying a "heretical" form of magic with a local hedge-wizard. Whenever someone explains that "conjuration" is not a valid school of magic, he summons a celestial dog and threatens to sic it on them.


Started GMastering the following Group last Wednesday:

"Klops", male human fighter, "Klops" is just a nickname, due to his beefy and stout lookings.

Lynneth, female human cleric of Sarenrae, sister to "Klops".

Tchilli Nix, female Evoker of Chelaxian heritage.

Belkar, male half-elven ranger.

Nymora, female half-elven beguiler.

The characters were created using the point buy system, 28 points.

Thus far, the players have kept their backstories secret from each other, as the boar hunt with Foxglove hasn't occured yet, and I want to use the hunt as a possibility for the player's to reveal something of their story then.

More intersting than that might be the experience the players have with DnD: The evoker and the ranger are quite familiar with DnD 3.5, the fighter and the cleric are totally newbies to roleplaying (but dig in quite well, I think), while the beguiler is directly imported from ADD 2nd edition...

I'm DMing for a bunch of 15-year olds, which you can probably tell from their character selections

Dante, Tiefling Swordsage (LN). Basically a Clone of Dante from Devil may Cry. Could be worse (after all, what's more irritating, a Dante-clone or a Drizzt-clone). A native of the sandpoint area, he is a Shoanti born with unusual hair and eye color, and a local thug for hire.

Oros Karlov, Chelaxian Warlock (CG). Usess abyssal Heritor Feats from FC1. A young (17) scion from a noble family in Magnomar, a youthfull indiscretion involving a young noblewoman led to him being packed away to the boondocks until the heat dies down.

Wyll Nilo, Elven Cloistered Cleric of Nethys (NG). Something of a nerd, but good-hearted and level-headed. A scolar of the local ruins, he is deeply concerned about the hidden, lurking evils in the area

Lucien, Varisian Bloodtouched (homebrew race) Rogue (CN), specializing in grapple and daggers. Lucien's last relationship ended in him nearly being killed (his girlfriend turned out to be a half-vampire). He managed to survive, but not unscathed. He now has several lesser vampire abilities, such as blood drain (and dependency), and rapid healing (tripple) natural healing rate.

Good party ballance, but I have to fight them every inch of the way to actually roleplay (or pay attention, period. they may be 15, but they act like 5-year-olds), but they're slowly getting better. No heavy combat guys, but I think I'll use Shaelu to give them an extra boost at thistletop. She and Lucien seem a perfect match (which will make it very interesting when his old girlfriend shows up again later...mwahahahah).


We have just finished BO and the party I run looks like this:

Bregaron Rockshoulder (N male dwarf ranger 1) is a former acolyte of the Order of the Anvil - an order of dwarven paladins devoted to Torag. After accidentially murdering his twin brother he left civilization for the wilds of the Mindspin Mountains. He lost faith in gods as a whole and believes in the forces of nature. After a priest of Torag told him about a cruel murderer hiding near Sandpoint he returned to the civilized lands to punish the half-orc who was also responsible for the death of his brother, at least to a certain degree. [the player was absent during the whole adventure and his character will be leveled up for the next session he takes part in.]

"Ingrimsch" Balendil Ironfist of the Shimmerbeard Clan (NG male dwarf cleric 5) a devote worshiper of Torag, he was sent to Sandpoint to bring justice to a cruel murderer. He assured the help of a certain ranger and travelled into human lands and finally Sandpoint.

Lel (CN male halfling rogue 3/sorcerer 2) is an adrenaline junky and former member of Magnimar's Gargoyles. He was cursed by an ugly beggar - a priest of Shelyn - after stealing a precious necklace in Rubenstein Manor. To break the curse he had to offer it at the temple of Sandpoint.

Philomena Silversickle (NG female elf fighter 4) is a "young" mercenary travelling one decade through human lands - the last part of her apprenticeship - offering her services as sword or chain fighter for hire. She was payed by two cursed thieves to protect them on their way to Sandpoint.

Rossana Glonna Rubenstein (CN female gnome beguiler 5) is the only but spoiled daughter of her father a famous jeweler from Magnimar. Her mother died in an accident during a boat trip and her father kept her in a golden cage since then. She helped a thief fleeing Rubenstein Manor with a precious necklace escaping her "prison" as well. She hasn't helped the halfling because she is such a goog gnome, but she is obsessed with gold and rubbies especially together in one piece of jewelry. The beggar cursed her as well, forcing her to bring the necklace to Sandpoint.

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

My group is set to start playing Burnt Offerings Thurs. (Sept. 20.) I'll be GMing the miscreants... (sorry) players that I've managed to drug... err find for the game. My players range in age from 13 to 37 years old and like their characters are all male.

Mite Spell-Loyal NG DWARVEN FIGHTER: This dwarven fighter thinks (or at least lets others think) that he is a wizard. I created the Sorcerorous Heritage FEAT for this character concept and I may need to look around for some rules for partial armor.

???????????? CG HUMAN BARBARIAN: Being played by my FLGS owner and the oldest of my players, I'm interested in seeing how this character does. Mainly because he already has his game plan for 2nd level and he chose the bonus background/regional FEAT: Dash. Plus he recently had an arguement with someone with how useful the Barbarian is when compared to a Fighter, with himself argueing FOR the Fighter over the Barbarian.

Jonas Thurmadore NG HUMAN CLERIC: Good old Jonas. I'm looking forward to playing with Jonas again. Originally a seafaring nobleman from a BESM game I was running, I named the character when the Player who created him misunderstood what I was asking and told me his own name: J.T., which seconds later became Jonas Thurmadore.

I created the Favored Weapon Proficieny FEAT for this character. Jonas is a cleric of Sarenrae with the Fire & Healing domains.

Leonidas of Magnimar LG HUMAN PALADIN: Just built today, this paladin of Iomedae, named after Leonidas of Sparta, was given the City-Born (Magnimar) FEAT as his regional bonus. It'll definately be interesting to see the character being played as I feel that this player knows what he wants for the character, even if he bought a large steel sword, instead of the large steel sheild he wanted. 8D

Azonipse N HUMAN WIZARD: Just your basic wizard. Of Nuetral alignment only because I wouldn't let him play Lawful Evil. I don't even want to guess at the life expectancy of this character, who belongs to a 13 yr old newb who in the one-shot of Hollow's Last Hope, which I ran, played a cleric of Sarenrae & tried to kill off the Half-Elf Paladin mid-way thru the adventure. Plus, as a first level wizard, the player wanted no damage dealing spells, although he did end up with magic missile.

Fenrir N LUPIN DRUID: Probably my favorite of the characters so far as most don't have many details, yet. This lupin druid with a wolf companion (obviously) and a variant Varisian Tattoo (Baleful Howl), which grants once per day spell-like ability which I'm trying to figure out. I want it to give all wolves (wolf, dire wolf, werewolf, etc. but not lupins) in a 30-60 ft. a +1 on all Rolls. I could swear that I'd read a spell like this one but I can't seem to find it. If I can't find this I'll make it a Summon Nature's Ally (Wolf), adding 1 Wolf for every three character levels.

The player & I also have an idea about giving the character a Familiar Tattoo (Note: An idea we thought up while working on the character, which involves magical ink made from the sacrifical slaying of multiple familairs of the type to be granted by the tattoo.)

PS: Are there any threads with suggestions for playing this Adventure Path campaign with 6 Players?


Hm, everyone with only three players are allowing 32 point buy, gestalt characters or something... I hope I'm not looking for a catastrophe with my following three players:

-Wilfur the Red, very diplomatic dragonfire adept who fancies a tower shield in battle
-Unnamed, a sneaky varisian ninja wishing to become a dervish.
-Unnamed, haven't decided, maybe a Duskblade

I'm going with 28-point buy with a bonus feat from RotRL player's guige. I hope they survive the campaign... (well they just finished Age of Worms with only one character death, but in that they were 32-point buy with all WotC-books allowed)

Going gestalt to make up for three-person game. These concepts are still being molded...

Ysabeau, NG elf swashbuckler 1//sorcerer 1 - still a kid in elven eyes, Ysabeau is only a little over 30. She's following in the footsteps of her warrior elder sister, who fought bravely and died painfully in a military flare-up between Magnimar and Korvosa; her parents moved to Sandpoint in an attempt to squelch Ysabeau's military ambitions, but failed miserably. A little psychotic in her pursuit of good and antipathy toward evil...

(no name yet), CN halfling hexblade 1//rogue 1 - a refugee from a child marriage arranged by her brothers in Korvosa, she ran away and joined the Magnimar military, during which time she served alongside Ysabeau's sister. Her brothers are trying to kill her for reasons that have not yet become clear - she's come to Sandpoint to hide out for a bit with the family of her old shieldmate.

Ex Heimalis, CN elf cleric of Gorum 1//barbarian 1 - not much backstory yet, but she has turned "feral" as a means of getting in touch with her primitive side and strengthening her connection to Gorum.

Good times all around, and I haven't even gotten to the Glassworks.

It's awesome, as Bravul was really disturbed by Aldern.
