Yeah. If didn't have whimsy, what kind of adventures would we be? Zack Snyder maybe? Or Alan Moore?

Hmmm, Tengu Jinx Witch. Has there been anything in a Paizo product suggesting that a Jinx is different from a Hex?
Halfling Jinx, from Halflings of Golarion. (I allow Tengu to take that as a house-rule, or to swap out swordtrained for Halfling Luck, since either fits them thematically.)

Ahh! I remember that now. I didn't pay much attention to those rules because I don't play halflings. It will be interesting to see if Tengu use the same rules as halflings for this.

But boobs are okay?
So this is bit late reply, but my lack of complaint doesn't mean I'm okay with that :D
I'm pretty skeptical that even if common furry fodder mammals had evolved as sapient that they'd be bipedal just because humans are, but even in that case I doubt bipedal fox would be same as humanoid/anthropomorphic/whatever fox. Like, seriously, why would canine resemble a primate that much?
So yes, I find boobs on bipedal non primate mammals kinda dumb, but humanoid/anthro animals are already dumb, just like how dwarves/elves/halflings are dumb "Sure these races look like humans, but they don't have any common origin". So I don't have strong opinion on that.
That said, I find boobs on reptiles/birds/whatever sort of offensively stupid biology wise because those animals don't even nurse their young so they don't have even excuse for them :P That is also why I find hair thing dumb, which I admit is silly considering that IS part of making them "human like".
So yeah, ultimately I suppose I draw lines on weird places? xP

It's worth noting that reptilian- and avian-looking races may actually nurse their young despite their appearance. I mean, clearly they're not actually avians or reptiles since that would involve reptiles having their limbs attached differently, for example...or at least they're so different from other avians or reptiles that anything could be possible. They might even be primates that just wound up with some convergent evolution that makes them resemble other species. Though, realistically (a hilarious choice of term given the context, I know), it's probably magic or gods or something along those lines...just not sure if they were originally avians or reptiles made to look like humanoids, or humanoids made to look like avians or reptiles.

Edit: And this is the point where I read your post again and realize I read it wrong because I was busy editing my last post xD I mean, I thought you were referring to how some real life reptialians and avians take care of their young, but you did mean that kind of nursing with fictional races.
My comment on that that everything is sure possible when wizards and gods are involved :P

Yeah, purely fiction...I mean, there are some reptiles that engage in viviparous reproduction, but that's a long ways from actually having mammary glands, which is pretty unique to mammals, though there are some creatures that do similar things, such as the discus fish, which feeds their young from a secretion their skin produces, but that's not really the same...
I was mostly just saying that despite feathers or scales, I tend to think most races where the females have breasts should probably be considered mammals despite a superficial resemblance to lizards or birds. Not that I wouldn't be happy to see more variation when it comes to males, female, or even a few races that use asexual reproduction or sequential hermaphroditism or even epitoky...but it seems unlikely.

*SIGH* I really don't want to get into this discussion, but I'm going to point out that Kitsune have some very specific Japanese/Asian legends that they are based on. They are not simply anthropomorphic foxes. Japanese kitsune were spirits and shapechangers, and some of them took the form of women specifically to manipulate human men.
Yes, Pathfinder kitsune are different from "Earth" kitsune. However, it would still be very odd if female kitsune didn't look extremely "feminine" in their humanoid forms.
Soooo, can we go back to discussing the content of the book rather than the art and other weirdness? Lol XD

Kitsune aren't birds or reptiles either, so we probably weren't really talking about them. Though I'd also note that kitsune have two humanoid forms; in their human forms, obviously they would appear like a human female if they happened to be female (or have Realistic Likeness), but they don't necessarily have to in their natural forms. Which they didn't in myth, albeit because their true form was not humanoid, unlike Pathfinder's version. But that ship has long since sailed...and, as I said, we were talking about birds and reptiles, not foxes.
And hey, if you have the contents of the book to discuss, feel free to share some tidbits...I know I don't! There's not a whole lot to go on yet, though I'm certainly looking forward to see what the final product will offer.

Yeah agreeing with Luthorne here, we were talking about non mammals :P I already noted I don't give a crap about giving mammaries to humanoid mammals. And even if we weren't, in case of Kitsune, the mythological one weren't furries. Its like difference between Tengu and mythological tengu(adapted as oni possessed version of tengus xP)

I'm really looking forward to the favored class bonuses. One of the major issues with the uncommon races is that they barely have any favored class bonuses to choose from, while the core races basically have favored class bonuses for *everything*.
Here's hoping that there is something for Kitsune Mesmerists! ;)

I just welcome the chance to see what Alex Augunas does with this book.
While I did more than *just* kitsune, I'm far from the only person who worked on Blood of the Beast. If I remember right, two races I worked on are pretty obvious. One race is one that people seem to want me to do. And the last is one people won't expect to have been me.
But yeah, I'm excited. I've been messaging Owen silly messages once or twice a week about loosing my cool over how close we are now! Just a few more weeks....

Would my alignment shift towards evil if I decided to make a game out of saying things that might trigger Alex's desire to talk about the contents of this book? ;)
If you make him break his NDA, then he won't get to write for Paizo anymore, so yes, you'd shift immediately and fully to Chaotic Evil. ;)

Oh, the goal wouldn't be to get him to break his NDA. It would be just to drive him crazy ;)

Hope Kitsune gets a Summoner one, given the most famous Kitsune tale has Kitsune blood produce a summoner.

We must have very different ideas what the most famous tale is. A Google search doesn't seem to back you up, since "Kitsune blood" brings up a bunch of fanfic first.

Perhaps I am presumptuous, but I believe the original poster was referring to the legendary Japanese sorcerer Abe no Seimei, who was the son of a human man and a Kitsune.

I am not happy about the move of release because now it is being released at the same time of another product in the same line that I don't want. So I ether take the hit and get both, wich I can't afford, or I do not buy ether of them.
Or go with a regular purchase of the PDF when it comes out. Saves you shipping and a bit of money on top of that while still supporting content you like.
